I use this salon for lashes and nails…

I use this salon for lashes and nails regularly and never am disappointed. Usually I do my hair myself but I had my hair appointment recently at this location and I was as always very impressed by the professional and friendly service I received. The whole process from start to finish was easy and Ebonie was very communicative and helpful throughout. The style I had was done with precision and efficiency. I will definitely return for braiding services :)

Ripping off customers.

Thursday 23rd January 2025, an appointment for micro braids was scheduled in at Ebonie Blush Beauty on 80a Merridale Road, Wolverhampton, WV3 9RH, with Ebonie.
Ebonie had told me over a phone call the cost would be £120.00, Upon my arrival, she was half an hour late, and when I was seated in the chair she then told me for what I wanted done (Micro Braids) the cost would (now) be £160.00, to which I agreed. Checking my phone for my currency converter, it was the same price I paid in America $200.00, when converted.
About two hours in. her cohort helper, commented, " Well, this is the easiest one we've done in a long time." My mind peaked, I felt something wasn't quite right about that comment.
So I asked Ebonie to show me how the back of my hair looks, it was then I seen what they were up to.
1. Cutting corners and Cutting down on time, Ebonie had parted my hair in oversized squares and then used less braiding hair to comply with my requests based on a sample plate I had brought with me for scale purposes. When I complained about how gappy my hair looked, she glossed over her work, by saying my plates were small as in (Micro). She came over like she hadn't done nothing wrong and didn't understand what the problem was. She then went into a panic and started adding more hair, frantically, realizing what she was giving me as a service was falling well short of expectations and was worrying about not been paid. Which then thickened the plate, giving me a look, which I had not requested nor wanted OR AGREED.
2. The cohort plater, closed down on my complaints with a look of, what you complaining about, there's nothing wrong.
3. Payment, when she had told me the price was now £160.00 at the start, she now asked me, what am I prepared to pay, I told her £80.00, and even with that I was being generous. She told me she was not prepared to accept that and went on the calculator on her phone, she told me she could give me a discount and the amount would be £128.00.
It was at this point, I would have been well within my rights to challenge her again, creating a huge and nasty problem, but I like to keep a peaceful aura, and so chose to stay calm.
When its all said and done, when you plate someone's hair and give them that which wasn't requested or agreed to, and then deliberately overcharge them, how is that person supposed to view you as a person first and then as a business woman second?
She told me she has an 11month old baby and had just returned back to work after maternity leave, and went on to tell me she has a trip to Egypt planned.
All in all, I paid her £130.00.
I did so out of compassion, understanding and out of a caring nature that she has a new born, I DID IT FOR HER CHILD, NOT HER. But my observations have lead me to understand how she goes work on people, She has no shame.
Therefore, it's my duty as a citizen to WARN OTHERS of her business practices. She attempts to bamboozle and confuse you, with her clauses on her website, telling you in new information, that she charges by the hour out of the blue. She will cut corners and then try to justify her work and then she will rip you off by over charging you. Case in point, this was my experience.
If you are like me, I depend on reviews, on this occasion I didn't do my due diligence and gave this business a try. So for those out there who depend on reviews, this is one to allow you to make an informed discission about who you want to give your custom to, and or to give you awareness of how she treats her customers, and to give a view into the shady, sketchy practices undertaken.
People like her think they are smart, but the truth is they are less than smart, because you can see them coming from a mile away., it's quite pitiful really, and it's disgusting, to an untrained eye her business practices may fly, but to someone like me, I have the ability to overstand how she goes to work . This was a woman who was desperate for my money and who was prepared to compromise her morals and integrity in order to obtain an extortionate amount of money from me as her customer.
4. A customer, I would never GO BACK to her establishment AGAIN.
KARMA WILL FIND THEM BOTH.
What they took from me, they will pay back in ten fold down the line.
THAT'S THE LAW OF THE UNIVERSE.
Greed is a terrible thing, People need to change their ways and deal with people with fairness, honesty and integrity and stop taking advantage of people with kind hearts.
