⚠️ WARNING: Do not book with EconomyBookings.com – a fraudulent company
I rented a car through economybookings.com. When I arrived, the car was not available. I was forced to rent another vehicle on the spot at my own expense. Since then, I have tried to get my money back. Their customer service first replied extremely slowly and has now completely stopped responding.
This company is nothing but a scam. I will be reporting my case to consumer authorities in Denmark and Latvia.
Unfortunately, I have now discovered that my experience is not unique. Thousands of customers worldwide describe the same pattern:
No refunds or only “vouchers” instead of money
Hidden fees and extra charges at pick-up
Terrible or non-existent customer service
Prepaid bookings where no car is provided
You don’t have to take just my word for it. Independent review sites confirm the widespread fraud and negligence:
Trustpilot: Score 1.8 / 5 – hundreds of 1-star reviews describing missing cars, no refunds, and rude service

Sitejabber: Only 2.7 / 5 from over 4,700 reviews – customers call them “a scam” and “the worst experience ever”

Summary: EconomyBookings operates with deceptive practices, takes people’s money without delivering cars, and then refuses to issue refunds. Ratings across platforms are consistently terrible.
