April in Cornwall 2022

The April temperatures at sea in Cornwall were counteracted by the warmth of the welcome, around the table cameraderie, feeling part of a crew and the two lovely captains... can you have 2 captains on a boat? Not forgetting the bundle of energy that was the deckhand Mo!!
My 2 sons and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience and what was packed into the 3 days. It was not just the sailing but the eventful anchorages, shore excursions, wildlife, bunking up, accessing Mungo's wealth of knowledge and doing knots last done at Scouts 55 years ago. The stand out was the cooking and the food and the miracles that came out of that galley!
And all that wood... it would not have been the same on plastic.

A fantastic sea journey.

At the end of a nine day passage its hard to put fully into words how much I enjoyed the trip on Eda Frandsen.
The challenges of overnight sailing, the glorious sun rises and sunsets, the views across all four nations of the UK from sea, the food (oh the food), the chilly swims in Tobermory harbour.
All this and more in the company of Stella and Mungo plus this years crew member Mo, who guided a complete novice like me, through many different aspects of sea sailing.
If you are considering joining the Eda Frandsen, all I can say, is get on a book now.

The stuff brilliant memories are made of 😃

We had sailed wee boats before, many moons ago, but never have we had such a fantastic experience. EDA, Stella and Mungo were all that was promised, magnificent, accomodating, cheerful, hard working, fun and the food, oh the food was awesome. Of course Scotland is always amazing but for our first sail off the west coast coast it surpassed itself. The weather was great, although at times a bit more wind, giving us a few more tacks would have been good.
We sailed to the outer Hebrides, saw dolphins jump around us as well as a whale breach in the Minch in a force seven....ISH, walked on islands covered in wild flowers, sang happy birthday to a shipmate and of course hauled ropes. I could go on forever, our memories are still vivid. Thanks for a sailing experience we will never forget
