Stay away from them, and thank me later.

Working from home Cowboys.
Totally backing all the negative reviews, bcs that's what happened to us also.
Should have taken more seriously all those reviews.
Absolute zero communication and consideration for a customer.
Extremely slow. ( Punam Syan) Then they gonna send you documents that you need to print yourself. All in the last moment, creating a rush and stress. We never received a call from them it was us who always needed to chase them! Crazy.
Should have gone with solicitor that was adviced to us by our broker who did and amazing job.

Snails work quicker

We have been trying to contact one of the solicitors (Punam Syan) for several days regarding property matters. to date, we have had no reply and are waiting to exchange contracts. Utterly frustrated and no explanation as to why we have not received a reply.

After nearly five months of EDC Lord & Co “handling” my late mother’s estate—with zero progress—and 13 fruitless weeks awaiting the council advice they promised, this has been an abysmal, silence-ridden, deadline-dodging ordeal I wouldn’t wish on anyone.

Great Experience

I have used EDC Lord on a few occasions now and have always had a great experience with Adam Urwin and his team.
From contact with the lovely receptionist Carol, helping me to check through all the correct forms and the ongoing help and support from Adam and his team throughout my home buying process.
I would not hesitate to recommend their services.

EDC & Lord been around for years so are good at what they do .
Mr Pulsford has done previous conveyancing for me and I felt was the man for the job . Lived up to his professional courteous reputation.
Dropped a star because they moved a little further than I would have like !

Best solicitor around

My family and I have always used Graham Seers at EDC Lord for all our house moves.
Graham Seers and his secretary Kerry Sanford were excellent.
Nothing was to much trouble and they will continue to follow things up, I moved house (and area) 27th Sept 24. My advice would be don't even look anywhere else go with Graham at EDC Lord
Many thanks for a smooth transaction Jill Dennis

The receptionist was rude

The receptionist was rude, unprofessional, and inattentive, with an unfriendly attitude. She frequently interrupted and made assumptions instead of listening to my inquiry. Needless to say, I took my business elsewhere

This company delayed the exchange of…

This company delayed the exchange of our property by weeks. Their inability to communicate with our solicitors made the whole experience extremely stressful. They were unable to read documents clearly (we had to tell them how to zoom in) asked for so many enquiries to be repeated, which was wholly unnecessary and even led to our management company refusing to answer again unless we paid an hourly fee. I would advise against using this solicitors firm if you want a stress free experience. After calling to complain, I became even more confident in how awfully they’ll deal with people after being spoken to so rudely and laughed at by one of their partners. A company I will be avoiding in the future.

Stressful, disappointing, and full of mistakes

We had an incredibly stressful and disappointing experience with EDC Lord & Co while buying our first home.

Communication was poor throughout the process, which meant we rarely knew what was going on or what was expected of us. Long periods of silence - with questions going unanswered - would be followed by a flurry of important documents being sent with no introduction or guidance, leaving us to guess our way through. Small mistakes, like document titles not matching between emails and systems, made this even more difficult.

Due to EDC's poor time management, the end of the process (exchange and completion) was a stressful rush as, after months of hardly any updates or communication in which this could have been done, we were harangued to complete the anti-money laundering checks in an incredibly small window of time so that exchange could happen. This put us in a situation where we personally were being chased for updates by the estate agent and vendor's solicitor as they simply couldn't get hold of anybody at EDC Lord.

Then, on the afternoon of agreed completion day, we received an email demanding we pay EDC Lord's fees immediately or completion couldn't go ahead. This made it feel like our completion was being held to ransom.

To put the icing on the cake, we are now dealing with another mistake that has held up our first mortgage repayment.

Any emails we sent during the process that highlighted our concerns with their work were, of course, roundly ignored.

Needless to say, we would never even consider using EDC Lord & Co in future and I would never recommend them to anybody else.

EDC Lord - Exceptional service.

EDC Lord have acted for me on three separate property transactions and I have to say I have found their service to be exceptional. Responsive, friendly, thorough and good value. Cannot recommend Kate, Susie and Emily highly enough.

Impressed by Kate's Professionalism

Highly recommended! I'm a first-time buyer and my case is a new-build Help to Buy leasehold flat so it's quite complicated. During the conveyancing process, I'm quite impressed by Kate Knight's team. The sales manager, Scott, is very willing to talk and always reply to me in time and the legal assistant, Susie, is very hardworking. Particularly, Kate always tries to protect my rights instead of just getting things done.

Great Service

I am so glad I had EDC Lord and CO on my side during a very long and drawn out move due to my buyers solicitors being not so good !
Graham Seers and his team were excellent throughout.
Quick responses to my calls an emails at all times.

A Class Act

Dear *****,

We were delighted with EDC Lord & Co in every respect. Real teamwork and commitment to getting things sorted however obstructive the purchasers’ solicitor might be. Your team displayed real class. A definite 4.9999999999999 if 5 is infinity re positive judgement. With point 2 and using EDC again - an emphatic yes, would definitely recommend my friends/family to use EDC. With regard to point 3 , feedback for improvement - work on how you can let others know how brilliant ‘you’ are and ensure your team know that the service they offer is one that others could only wish for!! Whoever is in charge of recruiting/selection should be given a platinum star.

Thanks so much to the EDC team and in particular, G**** J***** and T** H***** , you both shine
