We bought a car from Eddie Wrights

We bought a car from Eddie Wrights. Lewis was the sales man, very knowledgeable, no trying to push things onto us which we didn’t need. Handover was very straightforward, friendly guy highly recommend you ask for Lewis.

Appalling aftersales care – great until they have your money

I purchased a vehicle from Eddie Wright Ltd in April 2026. While the vehicle itself has ultimately been verified as safe following a stressful period of uncertainty, the customer service and aftersales care from this dealership have been awful.
Within 48 hours of taking delivery, the vehicle appeared to be leaking engine oil. When the dealership collected the car to inspect it, their communication was practically non-existent. I was never given a clear explanation for the initial issues, and I was forced to constantly chase them for basic updates on the vehicle.
To make matters worse, after they returned the vehicle assuring me it was fine, an oil warning light immediately began flashing on the dashboard. Because of the lack of transparency and poor diagnostic reassurance from Eddie Wright's service team, I ended up getting an independent mechanical inspection just to get peace of mind that the engine was fine and the car safe to drive.
Throughout the entire ordeal, I have received zero apologies for the stress caused, there was no offer of a courtesy car whilst they ‘investigated’ the issue, no accountability was taken for the conflicting information, and there was no proactive communication. During my time dealing with them, it became glaringly obvious that the busiest person at this dealership is the one in charge of handling complaints, which tells you everything you need to know about how this business is run.
Advice to potential buyers: If your purchase goes perfectly, you will likely have a smooth experience. However, if you are unfortunate enough to experience an issue after taking delivery, be prepared for an incredibly rough ride. You will be ignored, left in the dark, and forced to do all the chasing yourself. Based on the abysmal standard of care I received once the cash had changed hands, I cannot recommend Eddie Wright Ltd.

Great customer service from Lewis!

We recently visited Eddie Wright to view an electric car we’d seen online. We dealt with Lewis who was fantastic throughout and didn’t put any amount of pressure on us to purchase. We did end up buying the car 😁. Would definitely recommend and use Eddie Wright again if we ever needed another.

DO NOT USE !!! Aysia one of the sales team is Happy to deal with you when looking for a car/ pay deposit on a car, Once you say no to the deal / the finance they dont want to know you and dont answer any phone calls, Asked for to call me back and still waiting to hear back from her 24 hours later. Ask to speak with a manager got told they would take my number and still waiting for them to call you back, Customer service from the sales team is an absolute joke. Haven now been told my refundable deposit is now non refundable after only 3 days of making the payment. AVOID USING THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST

Avoid at all costs. They will not reply to your emails. Constant lies and misinformation. If you do not believe me then buy from them at your peril. Be warned if you are unlucky and get a faulty car from them, you are on your own.

They will never ever respond via writing. They will ignore your calls, lie after lie. Everytime I call they say oh you will get a call back, this never happens. I have even had calls disconnected as soon as they hear your voice.

The lady dealing with my case Adele is lovely but she is powerless to do her job because of the rouge directors and dodgy managers. My next steps is to expose this firm. I am currently gathering evidence for rouge traders and soon will plaster these greedy savages all over social media.

Long story short, they sold me a BMW with a faulty cluster instrument meaning the speedometer keeps disappearing. Reported on day 1. It’s been 2 months but they are yet to repair it. BMW has the car and waiting for green light, but Eddie Wright are dragging their feet and trying to cover it under RAC warranty. Not my problem. You sold me a faulty car why wait for RAC and so long too. I am in the process of rejecting the car as they ignore my calls and emails. I have been forced into this. The cost of taxis, stress etc they have made my life hell. Bottom line they are dishonest and greedy. Please save yourselves.

Thanks Tom!

Had a very good experience buying a car with Tom Mills yesterday. He was very patient and thorough with the handover pack. Great car for the price, and really pleased that the 3 month warranty it came with, if repairs are needed, can be carried out in any VAT registered garage. This offered peace of mind as we live a couple of hours away from Scunthorpe. Also came with 12 months free RAC cover.
