Good customer service

Ordered sunglasses. Price was the best I could find. Unfortunately the sunglasses had manufacturing defect so I had to return them. The return process went smoothly and without issues. Would buy again.

Never ever again will I buy from Edel Optics

At this stage I feel it’s important that I write a review on this company. I ordered a pair of sunglasses the first week of February and I am still chasing them for the last pair of sunglasses with UPS. I have asked them to try and close the investigation as this is now going on over 3 to 4 weeks sunglasses have not been found and I am still without sunglasses or a refund.
If I was only to give a refund immediately then at least I could go to another store and purchase another pair of sunglasses that might actually be delivered on time!. I believed when I was ordering these, I would have them within the week as it was a .ie domain. Of course when I received my purchased email it came from Germany. Even with the storming location in Germany I would’ve presumed I would’ve got the glasses within at least a week. I would never ever ever ever purchase from this company again. They are simple automated answers to any support that you’re looking for. Do not buy from this company if you’re looking for Ray Bans I suggest you go to Ray Ban directly.

In the end everything was fine

Dear Edel-optics,
we received my husband's sunglasses in Sweden on last Thursday and everything was ok, product, packaging, etc.
UPS started functioning accordingly during the week.
Thank you for the response and keep up the good work.

My husband oredered sunglasses for me…

My husband oredered sunglasses for me with my email and they never came ,so when i call them they said that they have arrived but no one picked up i didnt even got message or email to pick up my sunglasses. So the rude man who answer the phone in this company very unpolite he said that the sunglasses are back to Germany and that i need to wait for another 2 weeks so its been 3 weeks since then and havent heard anything from this company . The next step i will have to report to the Konsumverket. That will be the end of this week.

Terrible at giving your money back

Purchased sunglasses. They showed up, they were original and of good quality but it felt like they had prescription level strength so I returned them within the 30 day return period.
First EO took longer than expected to mark the return as "received" even though UPS showed that the sunglasses were indeed returned to EO. Then when I got the confirmation for the return and I didn't receive a refund in a week, I emailed EO asking for the refund. I was told that they were working on it. A few days later I reminded them and I received the same exact email as before. Two weeks went by and I emailed them asking for a non-automated email and to give me a date for my refund.
I was told that they will escalate the issue to the accounting department but they cant give me a date or say when I will get my refund.
I just reported the transaction to my credit card supplier and hopefully they can retract the payment and give me my money back.

In short, avoid EO and get your stuff elsewhere. The relatively low prices are not worth the headache or the risk of losing your money.

Sent me lenses without blue filter, won't pay me back the difference

I ordered glasses with lenses with a blue light blocking filter, but I received normal anti-reflection lenses without the blue filter. They admited to have messed up my order, but refuse to refund the price of the lenses or even the difference! Very unprofessional. They want to me to return the glasses and make me wait weeks without them so they can "analyze" the case and send me the correct order. However, right now I cannot do that, I will be out of my country, but they do not care!

Beware of 'Free' Returns

I visited the Edel Optics website and was directed to their UK site. What attracted me to Edel Optics is the wide range of sunglasses and the free returns policy as it's difficult to buy the right sunglasses without trying them on first.

I returned a pair using their free returns label. My first worry was that I received an email back asking for my bank details as they couldn't refund my credit card that I used as they had started company administration proceedings.

Anyhow, I provided my bank details and a week or so later received a refund that was over £10 less than I paid. I contacted Edel Optics and they said that they refunded the correct amount in Euros but they cannot control exchange rate to GBP and this resulted in the shortfall.

What irritated me is all prices on their website are in GBP. I was directed to the UK website with a '.co.uk' domain, and I cannot find anywhere in their website that refunds could be less than price paid due to exchange rate from Euro.

They will not make up the difference so nothing I can do other than not use them again. Going forward, it will be cheaper to use a UK site that is based in the UK and pay for return postage as this is likely to cost less than running the risk of falling fowl of exchange rates.

Really big choice of different brands…

Really big choice of different brands of sunglasses as well reading glasses and so many different ways to pay. As well they send product with UPS to home address without charge. This is second time I bought from them and I am very satisficed.

Everything was perfect.

I bought only a frame.
Fast shipping and solid packaging.
I got the frame I wanted at an incredibly low price.
The free wash kit was also included in the box and I thought this shop is a really nice store.

1 month wait time since ordering until…

1 month wait time since ordering until expected delivery!

1 week has now passed since expected delivery, and I’ve had no update or communication from Edel at all - I’ve tried calling, and emailed several times.

This lack of communication is unacceptable.
