We stayed in an apartment in Edinburgh over the weekend. We have been accused of damaging things we never touched. A blind would not go up and down when we got there, we just left it as we didn’t really need to use it. Once we left we got accused of breaking the blind. We were accused of spilling ink on furniture, even when we had no pen that would hold ink for this to happen. They have charged us extra for our deposit without letting us know first.
Our contact was extremely rude when we tried to say we didn’t have any ink with us for us to happen and the blind didn’t move when we got there, they then suggested we were liars. Absolutely disgusting way to treat people that have spent over £1500 on the weekend with them. Will never ever be booking with them again.

Owner of company harassing me
The owner of this company has been harassing me for three days. I am happy to reveal those emails to anyone who asks. At no point has the owner of EdLets explained away the fact that EdLets are happy to list £10500 properties under their “low cost”lets. She has used unkind and unhelpful language. Not professional and not to be trusted.
Take The Stress Out of Ed Fringe accommodation searching
The staff at Edlets were so friendly, professional and helpful. I must have called back 5 or 6 times, looking for different options for accommodation for our theatre company team for the fringe, and each and every time, they were just as plesant and helpful. Most importantly, we got great accommodation for a really fair price! They really took the stress out of searching.

Note- the only reason I have give one star is because you can’t give a zero. I am highly disappointed in the customer service provided. The staff member was extremely rude and unreasonable throughout. It was clear she could not be bothered and became argumentative and abusive before ending the call.
After booking (a very large) party, unfortunately the covid-19 pandemic struck which prevented us from visiting. Understandably we were disappointed but still wanted to book for a later date.
Then the property which we had originally booked was no longer available and no other option was provided for us to book for our large group. Through no fault of ours we were no longer able to book through this company. On booking we had paid a full deposit as requested, for the company to then cancel the booking and keep the deposit. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

AVOID AVOID AVOID this company at all costs, honestly THE worst customer service in the world, I've just had the manager yelling down the phone at me. We had a booking for 18 people that was cancelled because of the pandemic. The place we originally booked stopped operating and they didn't find anything else that was suitable and have now decided to keep the deposit for cancelling a booking that we don't even have.

The most amazing and helpful people. I had been struggling for months to not only find somewhere to rent but also find someone who would help.
If you need to find accommodation in Edinburgh I highly recommend Edlets.
The process
The process, so far, has been great. We pre-booked for next August with a refund guarantee in case of Covid closures and/or the Fringe being cancelled. Very fair. Good communication.
