If your child is Autistic and that disability isn’t visibly obvious - and may present challenging if not approached in the right way do not bring your child here.
Non of the staff are appropriately trained.
I wrote on his medical form that my son had autism and adhd and not one staff member approached us about it and his needs. It wasn’t till the 3rd day when my son was reluctant to go in that i told one of the boys at the door my son was autistic and he was visibly shocked by this news. I was then pulled at the end to be told by the man running edstart ‘he doesn’t like usually like to be negative about children BUT….’ and then proceeded to tell me all the challenges faced as a parent with an autistic child. This was in front of my son.
I went home and just cried and was just another knock on a child who already lives in a world where neurodiversity is difficult to navigate. His behaviour wasn’t the problem it was the way in which they dealt with him and that could have prevented it all. Or better still calling me if he was struggling like i asked them to.

First time my child went to club and loved it! Will definitely be booking again.
Coaches were fab and my son came home every night very happy after a great day!

Great coaches, fab activities my daughter enjoys coming to ed start holiday club and also can't wait for the next half terms!
She always enjoys her time here and I'm happy I know she's in the most best and safe environment, great value for money to!

We have used EdStart Sports Superstars during two different school holidays, (summer '21 and Easter '22) and at two different schools, but on both occasions our son has had a great time.

I would definitely recommend EdStart as a school holiday provision.

We here at St. Luke's CE have a great working relationship with all the EdStart Team. Paul, Jordan, Charlie, Anna and all the other coaches are so friendly, hard working and most importantly, care passionately about our children and their development and enjoyment in all of the sporting activities they provide.

We have used EdStart for a number of years to support the delivery of our PE curriculum and found the coaches' organisation and enthusiasm to be fantastic. EdStart also use our building and grounds for their holiday clubs, which are extremely well attended and provide great opportunities for children during the time that they are not at school.

My daughter loves going to these sports clubs, she makes plenty of friends and has lots of fun

Both my children attend after school Jag tag sessions with coach Liam, they absolutely love it. They have learned new skills and are keen to share their experiences with me when I pick them up. Liam is friendly and professional. In the words of my children,
“I love all the new games we learn with Liam, it’s so much fun learning the snap and block in jag tag”.

We've been working with Edstart for a few years now and are extremely happy with the service they provide. We particularly enjoy the Team Mental Health sessions delivered by Coach Leon and the Teacher Mentoring Programme which supports staff as they become more confident with delivering sessions themselves. Edstart have transformed our PE provision in school and are always looking at ways to improve further. Highly recommend!

Steve is an exceptional coach. He always shares learning outcomes with the class teacher before each session and his engagement with the children is excellent. Steve combines theory with practice and ensures children understand why they are completing each activity. He encourages all children to participate in each activity in addition to also articulating their thoughts. He is professional at all times and has a great relationship with both staff and children. Thank you for all your support and guidance.

Adam and Sean are extremely passionate about what they do and they instill that passion into each and every child that they work with. They are fully committed to their role in school, personalising their teaching to suit many different needs and abilities. The children across school love their PE sessions and look forward to taking part every week. Adam and Sean go above and beyond providing an excellent After School Club package that ensures all children have the opportunity to excel in sport. They are extremely valued members of our school team and have supported our children to develop life long skills and values such as mutual respect, communication with others, determination and perseverance. Thankyou for all of your hard work!

Sean and Adam are excellent coaches and are valuable members of our team. They not only teach the children a fantastic variety of skills and sports but they ensure that all children are fully engaged, supported throughout and most importantly that they are having lots of fun in their lessons. Sean & Adam are a great addition to our school team. They are encouraging, knowledgable and supportive to every single pupil. They are able to engage the most challenging of pupils to the ones that aren’t keen to take part. The smiles on the children’s faces when they see them say it all.
