One time outing
We had a really lovely time seeing the seals up close. The boat ride itself was pretty quiet and relaxed, which was just what we needed for a family day out for Easter. We spent most of the time chatting and made the most of sitting at the back of the boat; the nice weather definitely helped.
We managed to get some great photos of the seals. My niece, despite her condition, was surprisingly calm and didn’t fuss too much, which was a real bonus. She did get a bit tired halfway back, but that’s totally understandable.
One thing I think could be improved is to have commentary during the trip. It would have been nice to hear more about the waters we were sailing through and some interesting facts about the seals, especially since the TV screen was a bit too small to read the text easily. A bit more information would really add to the experience.
The staff were friendly. As for the lunch, it was okay — but I think the menu could do with an update. It would be great to see more options for different dietary needs, like vegans or vegetarians. More than half of our group are vegetarian/vegan.
All in all, a lovely outing for the family. Definitely a good way to enjoy some wildlife and spend quality time together!
