I was excited to try the app so I signed up but once I said yes and chose my payment method, I was inundated with what felt like a never-ending series of ads trying to upsell me on all sorts of add-on... See more

The worst. A scam. It should be easy to cancel a subscription to an app. This app has given me literally zero value and has charged me plenty for it. I was never able to find out where to cancel (good luck finding that on the app). I emailed several times with zero response, and finally ended up cancelling the credit card they were charging every month. I'm happy to be out, can't even imagine trying to deal with them to get my money back, so cutting my losses. Pathetic. So many people have been taken by these crooks.

I had a very poor experience with Effecto and would strongly caution others before signing up.
I contacted them to cancel and received confirmation that my subscription had been cancelled. After that, I received no further warning emails or communication from Effecto to suggest that any other paid subscription remained active or that another charge would be taken. I therefore believed everything connected to my account had ended.
Despite that, money was later taken from my bank unexpectedly. I then discovered there had apparently been multiple different plans attached to my account, including a 3-month plan and yoga, none of which I was aware of having not received any communication. I was left trying to work out after the event what I had even signed up to, what had been cancelled, and what was still active.
The whole process felt confusing, misleading and lacking in transparency. When I raised this, the response was simply to rely on their no-refund policy rather than properly acknowledging how unclear the subscription and cancellation process had been.
Given that services like this are often used by people who may already be struggling and looking for support, that makes this even more concerning.
I have since seen other reviews describing very similar problems. I would not be surprised if Effecto responds publicly asking me to get in touch, as similar generic replies appear under other negative reviews, but in my case they have already refused to refund the charge.
In my view, this is not a fair or transparent way to handle subscriptions or cancellations, and I would urge others to be very careful.

SCAM...I had a charge for $21.18 that I didn't see in Paypal then $105.95 March 2. I reported the fraud and was denied a refund. I have been emailing David Rosenburg at Effecto, he says I took a quiz and signed up for a plan, I have never heard of this app or Medical scoring, never took a quiz or signed up for OR received any kind of plan. Don't go anywhere near these names, I am trying to find out how and who to report them to.

Took out a 7 day trial, because I didn't want to commit to more, until I'd tried it.
Order items: 7-Day Plan
Order amount: 5.49 GBP
(Above from my Google reciept) No follow on noted.
Thought it'd be good to do on my commute. Day 1 - did nothing but quizzes and reading.. day 2 - more reading. I got bored part time at through reading. Put it down as ineffective.
Tried several times to locate the "my subscription" page. Couldn't find one on the app, couldn't find one on the emails or anything that eluded to a further subscription. Didn't receive any communications/ emails about being subscribed by default.
So imagine my surprise when I was then billed nearly £40 for another month that I didn't sign up for, without recieving so much as an invoice - I then had to email customer service to cancel, complain and request a refund. I was asked to provide evidence that there wasn't a "my subscription" page. (Your app designers clearly didn't put this in an obvious location to trap people in the payment loop).
I was told to send screenshots. But every time I replied with screenshots my email was rejected by the email server, so my request for a refund was declined and my ticket closed despite me contacting them almost immediately after being charged.
Would very much appreciated and actual email with a human on the end and the ability to share
I'm chalking this down to another app scam that makes it near impossible to cancel and subscribes you without permission or notification.

Scam scam scammer! I supposedly signed up for this. I don’t know how or when. I did take a quiz. 1 st mistake. I end up almost 200$ in the negative. Great deal

COMPANY KNOWN AS "Medical Score". Signed up for $31 to see what they offered....nothing. Then I find out they put me on a subscription for $99 that I cannot cancel. And they say their terms say it's also nonrefundable.
CAUTION...Stay away from this company!

Please do not sign up to this app! I paid £19 for what I thought was access for a year only now to have been charged £73. I found it impossible on the app to see why this money had been taken out of my PayPal and had to email them. I got an apology and a cancellation but no refund of my 73 quid, surprise surprise! Please don’t be tricked like I was :-(

DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY
I signed up for a "trial period"with the intention of cancelling before the trial period ended if I decided it wasn’t for me. You are not sent a reminder that your trial period is coming to an end. However, when I tried to cancel, I found it extremely difficult—there was no clear cancellation option within the app. Confirmation emails do not contain any instructions on how to cancel.
As a result, nearly £100 has been taken from my paypal account without any warning, £73.45 for 1:1 support which I definately did not agree to, want or need. I contacted customer support immediately, explained that I had not used the service and requested a refund. They refused point blank.
The lack of transparent cancellation instructions and refusal to refund feels unfair.
For a company that implies their priority is to look after people's mental health and well-being, they really do not card about the stress they have caused me. An immoral company, only interested in taking people's money.

No negative comments on my rejecting some of the offers in the program.

I’ve paid money and you keep trying to sell me extras without any initial benefits. Feeling like a scam at the moment!

I signed up for initial trial period . I was frusterated with app due to the amount of added pop ups asking for more subscriptions which made app not fit for purpose for me. Result was failure to achieve the result that I had paid for. I advise everybody to stay well clear of it. They refused to give me a refund.

Downloaded this app and before I could even use it must they took over $400.00 out of my paypal account without my consent or warning. Do yourself a favour and don't be fooled by their deceitful marketing.

I hate the upselling that just keeps coming at you!!! It’s like being treated like a total chump, and I really don’t appreciate that!

Appalling level of service - do NOT use this business.
Unethically the company tied me into a subscription service that I did not want, have taken money from my account and are refusing to credit me back.
For a company which promotes itself to support people with mental health issues, they really don't know how to support people when it comes to taking their money.

Signing up for a programme entails endless ‘stacked’ advertisements for ‘extra’ and complementary add-ons, all costed & requiring individuals to cancel full subscriptions before they automatically kick in after 30 days

⚠️ Warning about this app/service.
I was charged again after cancelling my subscription, and they refuse to refund me even though I have never used the service.
Last month I was charged for this app for the first time. I immediately contacted support, explained that I had never used the app, and asked them to cancel my subscription. They confirmed that the subscription had been cancelled, but they refused to refund the charge.
Now, one month later, I was charged again with a different random amount, even though they previously told me the subscription was cancelled.
I contacted support again and received the same response: they say the subscription is now cancelled, but they still refuse to refund the charge because of their “policy”.
