Rome was incredible and so thrilling to see all of the iconic sites. Time was short but worth seeing these amazing views

Everything was amazing! The only thing my group found was that the appetizers we had in Italy was extremely repetitive. But EF compensated for this by giving us an amazing free lunch in Greece! Our tour director, Sonia, was the absolute best! I would pick her again 100 times. She made everything go so smoothly and put up with all the chaos so well. Our trip was beautiful and it didn't feel too rushed. We got to see all the things promised to us and even more. I would absolutely love to do another tour with EF in my future. This trip meant so much to me and the others that went.

My daughter had a great time!

The amount of landmarks that we went to was great for the amount of time in the itinerary.

This was the best experience of my life so far! Everything was perfect! Tour was wonderful and well organized. The best guides and bus drivers. Hotels were nice and clean.

This was exactly what we were hoping for and expecting. Saw a lot of great sites, had a top-notch tour director. EF looked after everything. If you are interested in history, this is the tour for you!

We had absolutely no idea what was going on each day for the trip until the day of departure. For the price of the trip it was definitely not up to expectations… When arrived in rome after 3 flights ( roughly 12+ hours of travel from toronto to rome) we were expected to go on a walking tour of rome while it was pouring rain. 40 children already miserable from flying and getting barely any sleep now had to walk around in airport clothes and get drenched in rain. Many kids were not wearing rain suitable shoes and many slipped or fell on the roads/ sidewalks. The hotel the kids had to stay in for the whole time in rome had grimy sheets and served improper meals for dinner like rock hard bread, cold lasagna that was mainly cheese, and lettuce with brown spots. Not only did they have to wake up early for breakfast every morning on the trip they would also get back late to the hotel and have barely any time to spend with friends besides when walking everywhere. Definitely not the trip it was planned to be because you would assume the kids would get to relax a bit. Another huge let down is that my kid only went on the trip to go into the vatican for a tour. But EF messed up and couldn’t book enough tickets for a trip that was set for OVER A YEAR. And the only reimbursement the children got was a cheap rosary that had apparently been blessed by the pope. (the same exact rosary’s were seen being sold for 2 euros on the street). Greece was definitely a lot better because it was the rare times they got to relax (only on long bus rides) and the hotels were definitely better than the one in rome. One of the days in greece they decided to take the group to a shopping square that was riddled with pickpockets that were small children that would walk in and out of the group to see if they could grab something (one of the little girls even had a vape) thinking that the square would be fun many took out money but it consisted mainly of stores we have here back in canada or it was mostly clothes. Another mishap is that the tour guide said they would be taken to good atm machines but the only ones they were taken to would have high fees up to 15%! On the last day they ended the journey with a ‘greek night’ it was enjoyable but it ran late and the kids got back around 10-11 pm when they had to be at breakfast for 3:30. Definitely disappointed in how disorganized and rushed this trip was. There was many good experiences to see but it was all rushed and it was just one place to the next.

Great tour! Tour guides were great. Unfortunately we could not see the Sistine chapel in Rome

Disappointed that St. Peter’s Basilica and Sistine Chapel tickets were not available. Trip was planned a year in advance. Ticketing options changed in January 2024. No communication about the possibility of this until a few days before departure.

Amazing experience from start to finish

Really great sights and tours. The only thing I was disappointed about was the pre planned set menu at some restaurants, I feel as though the food could have been better. Besides that trip of a life time, I had a blast.

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Our tour guide, Valentina, was fantastic. She was very caring, compassionate and extremely helpful. Aside from this, some of our other experiences were sub-part and unacceptable for the amount of money students paid. At our first hotel, one of the student's shower windows feel off while taking a shower and mine leaked all over the floor. The staff were not very helpful when we asked for simple things, like hot water for tea. I felt like a hotel factory where EF students pass through each night and not much care is put into the hotel. One other problem we faced was the food. After visiting the colosseum one night, we went to a "fancy" restaurant and were served old chicken burgers that were hard as a rock with a green, greyish meat inside, accompanied with 12 fries. It was one of the most embarrassing meals I have ever seen in my life and it was so awkward sitting there in silence. We Canadians are too nice sometimes! I would not feed my dog this meal. I don't know in what world they thought this was acceptable. After the meal, we all stormed out, walked next door, and bought pizza, with them starting at us. If I were a owner of a restaurant and all my customers just walked out and bought cheap pizza next door, I would be shutting down my business and choosing a different life path. How on Earth did EF find such a horrific restaurant? There were so many questions raised about the entire tour after this meal. I could go on but this is a little glimpse into our food experience with EF.
