No support if there is a problem

I've used this service to file my 1099-nec for a couple years without incident and fairly strait forward. NOT THIS TIME. I filed and I guess the forms were not accepted they are still in the submitted stage after 10 days. I need to correct them and get them to my contractors. The sight also says they were mailed 2 weeks ago. Not received. The only help is chat and email. They have no supervisor available to talk to and just keep saying they can't do anything. They could call and check on the forms but I think the support is just some call center. BEWARE DO NOT USE

PLEASE READ MY EXPERIENCE

PLEASE READ MY EXPERIENCE! I cant believe I was dumb enough to fall for this nonsense but then again, if you dont know anything about filing for an EIN, you aren't going to think anything of it. I figured nothing is free with the IRS, boy was I wrong. I was scammed out of over $200 by these losers. They should all be in prison. They only offered me a portion of my money back, but when I said I would get it through my bank, I got an email that they refunded me in full. Thought this nightmare was over BUT NOT EVEN CLOSE! Not even a week later, I get an email that I am being sent to collections for the money THEY REFUNDED ME! No joke! I got absolutely no notice from them that I owed them anything (which I didnt), or that I was being sent to collections. I had some ghetto trash collections agency called Caine & Weiner saying I owe over $300 to them now. Sorry, but I kept my paper trail. After filing complaints with the Financial Consumer Protection Bureau, and my state's Attorney General, suddenly the collections process was "dropped." Collections agency could not tell me who dropped it and why, when I asked for a paper to be mailed to me stating that it was dropped. I left a voicemail for the manager to get this mailed to me and nobody ever called me back. We are pretty sure this collections agency is in cahoots with these losers and they scam and scare people into paying all over again plus more to avoid collections and bad credit! NOT US! Sorry! We fought this tooth and nail and these losers were not going to win. We have all the proof we need. In the end, we prevailed but this experience was absolutely horrid. These people literally belong in a prison cell. THREATEN TO GO THROUGH YOUR BANK, LEAVE BAD REVIEWS everywhere, and please file complaints through these government agencies. These people must be held accountable and must be stopped.

This company is a complete scam

This company is a complete scam. I applied for my EIN through this company in early September, 2020. They collected my $245 and I never received my EIN. I contacted them multiple times and received a standard response: 'we are waiting on the IRS'. I started pushing back, stating I thought it was inappropriate that they'd collected my money but were doing nothing to help me, as a paying customer, with the 'service' they were providing. They responded with plenty of sympathy, reiterating there was nothing they could do. I finally read reviews last month and realized I'd been scammed. I sent them messages, acknowledging my new awareness of them being a total scam. Then came the emails about a form they'd 'just' received from the IRS that I needed to complete. I responded that I was giving them no further info and that I'd be posting reviews reflective of them being a scam and had filed a complaint via my credit card company. Go figure, my money was refunded the NEXT DAY. Do not get duped into working with this company. You can file for FREE via the IRS. If you've been scammed by this company, push back on them, threaten poor reviews and ask for your credit card company's assistance if this horrible company does not refund your money.

Misleading and Completely Unecessary

Not paying attention I thought I clicked on the IRS site from a search. Shame on me for making an amateur mistake and parting with my cash for no reason.
You can get an EIN online directly from the IRS with NO fee. Just search for EIN registration and make sure you click on the irs dot gov site, not one of these similar named sites. Once on the correct site you can register for free during hours of operation which are Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.

STOP

STOP! You can file a form SS-4 directly with the IRS for free. Now I'm afraid this company will steal my identity. Arrrg!

Stop. Do Not Use

Stop. Filled in information for EIN # which then took me to a payment page for a charge of $275.00. The website says nothing about a charge until you put in your information, including your SS number and click on submit. Thankfully, I knew instantly that I shouldn’t have to pay for what is free through the IRS. But now this company has my SS number.
EIN numbers are free through the IRS.
