Appalling delivery service…

Appalling customer service…my delivery still hasn’t arrived after 10 hours waiting and repeatedly being assured it will arrive.

Horrible red haired woman in the kitchen department who was rude and unpleasant and wouldn’t help at all. Nice manager but it’s made no difference at all and they won’t give me a refund. Do not let your goods be delivered…

There is no way to get delivered my…

There is no way to get delivered my order, very simply because Corte Ingles uses a courrier company called MRW ( Spanish one I believe) which is beyond bad. They do not give any time slot, they send you emails with a contact number but when you try to call them no one responds. I ended up having my order sent back to Corte warehouse but they will not refund me until they receive back their order.
I hope people read reviews before they order and Corte pls upgrade your delivery service and change your courier as your service in store is good but online is a zero star one.. shame as now I decided to boycott Corte Ingles all together.

I had a confused but resolved experience

I realise people mainly leave bad reviews to complain. My TV died and I bought a new one on Saturday night. I went with El Corte Ingles as it is a reputable company. Some of their competitors had same price for same TV. Turns out I accidentally paid twice hence was confused that they cancelled my order. I did chase them to double check but it took a while for them to come back to me which is the only complaint I have as it was delivered on time yesterday, they cancelled the extra order and I watched my TV lastnight. So initially mea culpa but a slow response explanation as to what happened. All is well that ends well

Sold me the product then asked me to return and re order at a 40 pound charge

Charged my 904 euros for a slinger bag. Contacted my to say sorry we must refund and re order. I have lost over 40 GBP because of the exchange, they are refunding me separately for the balls also instead of one complete refund. Even more so the refund hasnt even fully completed yet! Really really poor. No slinger bag and a 40 pound charge!!! thanks guys

The website is atrocious

The website is atrocious. Here are some examples:

* additional address details field is limited to a few characters and cannot include any punctuation
* my Portuguese postcode is rejected despite this house existing for nearly 20 years
* name MUST contain a middle name

Wrestling with this for half an hour, only to find out at checkout that there's an error and cannot actually place any orders.

Whoever built this garbage needs to be fired.

0 stars is my opinion, Sell a product El Corte Ingles PLUS, cancel in 14 days which is consumer did not cancelled and not give the money back. Different products with same name. Bad costumer service.

Friendly but ultimately useless

Friendly but ultimately useless. Through no fault of El Corte Ingles, the courier (MRW) lost my package. El Corte Ingles will not refund me until the package has returned to them which is fair enough. However, after 5 days of the courier ignoring their 'internal messages', they refuse to attempt to contact them via any other medium. It is clear that MRW have no intention of replying to an internal message and it is also clear that El Corte Ingles will do nothing to assist. Perhaps, in the 80's/90's consumers would be willing to wait whilst a multinational company offered poor service, but those days are long gone. El Corte Ingles gain a star for remaining ever-polite, but lose 3 stars but being ever-useless. Day 5 and the search for a refund goes on...

There needs to be a zero star review

There needs to be a zero star review! el corte inglês does not deserve 1 star! twice i have ordered online and twice i waited 2 weeks and had to cancel! they sell products that they don’t have in stock and do not inform you. so i waited and waited for them to get stock in and had to give up and cancel the order! do yourself a favour don’t shop with el corte inglês

It's been impossible to login in to an existing account for 3 days now - so unable to place any orders.

The message received when logging in is:

Access Denied
You don't have permission to access "conta.elcorteingles.pt / login" on this server.

Which indicates a bad reverse proxy configuration.

THE WORST customer service for online…

THE WORST customer service for online store that I have ever experienced. They only allow me to arrange a return of an item by sending a courier....THAT NEVER COMES!! Not only am I not able to return and get a refund, but they have wasted SO much of my time.

Terrible online shopping experiances

Terrible online shopping experiances. 3 orders made, the first was part delivered and the remainder never turned up. The second was cancelled by them after about 6 weeks and trying to get a delivery. The third I am still waiting for after nearly 4 weeks from order date. My advice is do NOT use this company for web orders and home delivery it is not worth the pain.

Wouldn't give them even this one star…

Wouldn't give them even this one star but system made me! Paid over €500 for furniture, notification with no explanation that they have cancelled order. No response to email about my refund.I will not let this drop.Do not recommend this company.
UPDATE 12 June, still no response to follow up emails to customer services about why order cancelled or refund of my money. But a text message from delivery company to say my goods will arrive tomorrow ! Yippee! Glad I didn't go ahead and buy alternatives last week.... IF the goods arrive will update. Still zero stars for customer relations.
UPDATE One if the two items I have paid for arrived ( the delivery company guys were great btw). It now seems the second will arrive sometime before 28 June. How hard woukd it be to actually communicate with a customer?. The quality of the the furniture is actually very good.

No Service, no satisfaction!

We drove from Montedor to Porto (+1hr.) to return a failed product.
In general the staff were polite but quickly adopted a 'Company Policy' attitude when my wife and returned a milk foaming appliance after it stopped working in one month! We were first greeted by a 'sorry not me, you have to see that person' attitude, pointing to a male staff member apparetly engaged in conversation with an attractive, young lady, who took only long enough to tell us 'sorry I will likely be some considerable time and my other colleagues are taking a break!'. I looked around in some amazement as there were at least 4 other staff members standing around doing, apparently, nothing. We waited patiently for some 15 minutes when a male and female staff members showed up. They immediately asked for the receipt. We didn't have the receipt, who keeps all their receipts? We can't help you if you don't have the receipt! But we bought it on a credit card and
we gave our NIF surely you can trace it on that information?...'No, our system is not equipped to do that, you have to go to Customer Service on the -1 floor. Non of this information was delivered in a helpful way, it had to be extracted by multiple questions. Consequently, we went down to 'Customer Service', clearly an oximoron since we had to wait at least 20 minutes...I'd hardly call that 'Service'. However, the young man was helpful and persistent in that it took him about 25 minutes to trace our NIF No., and product. We were presented with a sheet of paper apparently reflecting all the necessary information, to be instructed to take it back up to the pertinent department. On returning to the 'Appliance Dept' and delivering the official piece of paper, we expected, having jumped through all the bureaucratic hoops, to be received with at least a smile and a stamp of approval. No sir! Instead a pan faced, unsmiling, unhelpful, so called 'manager' on the floor, then told us, clearly with some satisfaction, that the device would now have to be returned for 'investigation' to establish what was wrong with it and to see if it could be repaired! The lady had no idea of how long this would take. This was delivered in a rather cold declaration of 'take it or leave it' manner. To say the least not impressed. Had Corte d'Ingles indicated or advised this was their sales policy toward otherwise unsuspecting customers purchasing products
in good faith, we certainly would not have bought this or the far more expensive 'mixer' we bought at a later date. We have now learned an expensive and frustrating lesson, NOT to purchase anything from Corte d'Ingles. A lesson we shall, in our normal social lives, strongly caution our friends on. In closing, the Corte d'Ingles 'Return' policies do not reflect that of a first class, customer aligned vendor. Clearly, also a poor and second rate reflection on senior management and staff

Careful with your online shopping

Ordered 3 items, unfortunately none of them fit so they went back. Several messages back and forth. For the refund they say my card is cancelled or expired (none of which is true!!!) so they want me to send several data and proof for that data via e-mail. 21st century? Europe? I don't think so. They seem fancy but their refund system sure is NOT. So as tempting as it seems: Do not buy online there unless you are veeery patient. Note: I finally did get my money back. Customer service was always quick to answer and friendly, but the refund process is just not up to standard. Not even the pick-up service for the returned items makes up for that.

AVOID! El Corte Online takes your money, but don't deliver:

Horrible experience, avoid at all cost to order online.

They let you pay, but don't deliver. They blame it on their carrier (MRW), and their carrier blames it on them. In the end the customer is the victim.

My first (and last) order at El Corte Ingles Online was on 12 November 2021.

I paid 250 euros for an order and never received anything. I have sent loads of emails and telephoned the customer service almost every week. Without any result.

Then on 10th of December 2021 they promised to finally refund, but never carried out.

On the 24 th of december 2021 I filed a complaint in the Livro de Reclamações: only sorry's, no result.

More emails and phone calls later still nothing. No goods delivered, nor refund.

We're over 2 months now (12/11/21 to 14/01/22)

In the end, this comes down to theft.

Purchased a tablet on their online shop, payment made by credit card, that was credit instantly. However, website said due to some technical reason top try again . I am going to the police to solve this problem. AVOID at all

Corte Ingles offers sales but then delays shipments multiple times. Then asks if one still wants the order. Looks like fraudulent advertising. Completely unreliable. Happened to me now the second time with El Corte Ingles Portugal
