Hi Anthony,
If the app is freezing, update to the latest version or clear the app cache in the phone settings, which should solve any loading speed issue.
The pipe should not block if the drain filter is in place. Most blocks are only LECA that fall into the grow container and get caught up by the filter, which may slow the flow. Ensure the drain filter is installed, and the LECA that falls into the container is removed. When plant roots are not developed in the early stage, the LECA will eventually flow to the drain and slow the flow at the filter.
The Water Level viewer can be removed by pulling it out from the bottom, then you can clean the viewing window with a toothbrush or a straw brush.
The QR code is the device badge; you should have stuck that onto the system, and it is only needed when activating. You can use the scan feature in the app to locate the correct device if you own multiple grow kits. To restart a batch, click System and find the idling grow kit to start the new batch. You do not need to add a new system.
We are creating more video tutorials and improving the UI layout so these features are not hidden too deeply or missed.
I will send you an email with the view window removal instructions to clean up the algae that got into the checker.
In regards of pipe leak, I will need to know where it is leaking and instruct you the proper way to debug. Typically, it is due to uneven installation, or too powerful pump setting.
Happy Growing!
