Not flexible when a treatment does't work
I had an eyebrow thread lift here a few months ago. The doctor who did it was lovely but it was quite a painful procedure. I had had a quote for an actual brow lift operation but it was very expensive so I decided to go for the thread lift instead at £1100. I was told there would be around a 4mm difference. However, a few weeks later and there was no difference whatsoever so I made an appointment to go back to the clinic. They agreed 100% that it hadn't worked and did offer to do it again but there was no guarantee that it would work and after the painful first attempt, causing a lot of bruising and swelling I didn't want to go through it again. I was a bit disappointed when I asked if there was a chance I could have a different treatment (much cheaper) to make up for some of the money I'd invested but was told that this was not an option. I was also told that it is their standard practice to mention in a consultation that it may not work but I DEFINITELY was not told this, just that it would be minor at around a 4mm improvement. I would have hoped that a professional company like this would at least either part refund me or let me have another procedure in return under the circumstances but there was no room for budging at all. So, if you are looking to have a thread lift here, please do take into account that it may not work and it is a lot of money to lose. I have since been told from another very respected doctor who specialises in botox, fillers etc that he will not do thread lifts as less than 20% of people are generally satisfied with them working. I now wish I had saved the money towards having the actual brow lift operation.
