Elite Home Warranty is a different kind of warranty company. Instead of seeing homeowners as data points or streams of revenue, we prefer to see ourselves a service-based business. Our goal is to provide the best home warranty coverage. Each day, we work with homeowners around the country who are in distress. The basics of a home warranty service agreement is that we fill in the gap, providing a layer of protection when appliances and systems have aged out or break down due to normal everyday use. But we go way beyond that. Elite Home Warranty can help you care for your home and prevent small issues from becoming expensive headaches. Visit our website or call us to learn more about how our home warranties can help homeowners.

Beware HVAC Customers

They do not cover package units. I found out the hard way... Sales did not mention this. Also, every HVAC unit is independent, meaning they need to cover each one separately - where other companies cover them all.

Customer service is good, I will give them that.

Started off okay, but they are absolute garbage

I had really high hopes for this warranty company, and had a good experience the first time I used them- but it has gone down hill from there. My policy says that ceiling fans are covered, but they won't fix a broken switch (even though the policy literally says switches and controls are covered.) Then to "assess the situation", they want to charge an addiotnal $70, even though they are already charging me for an electrician to come to my house for a claim they admit is covered.

And even worse, my furnace stopped working, and they wont do anything to fix it. Large house systems like a furnace is literally the reason to have on of these policies in the first place.

Terrible rip off of policy. Garbage company, go elsewhere.

Sales will fall all over themselves to…

Sales will fall all over themselves to be nice to you. The only purpose is to get you to sign on the dotted line. You are on your own from that point. I had a problem with my HVAC system. I wanted the company that installed the system to fix it so paid out of pocket first then submitted a claim. Each person would say "you will hear from us by the end of the day." Never happened. Not one time did anyone ever call me back on the claim. I finally called a week later. They tried the scam "it is covered under your system warranty." Nope. Then they tried the next one, "if we reimburse you, it will void your warranty." I actually laughed out loud at that one. Guy goes back to processor and comes back to me and says "we are going to send you a check." Elite's website will not let you file a claim. You call, file a claim, get a claim number and then good luck getting them to call you back. I even called the salesman who said he would get right on it. Nothing. Did nothing. I will not sign up with this company again. These companies are scams. If you are going to sign up, only pay for one year. When they cheat you, you will be glad you only did that.

Rip Off

I filed a claim on an wall unit oven. The repair man did not come to my house, he had me text him a photo of the oven, I paid 70.00 for that service. The claim was denied of course. I then tried to start cancelling my policy. I paid for 3 years in advance. I was told I would pay 412.50 for 3 months, however, they continued to charge my card every month. It has been 8 weeks, I am still trying to cancel, every week they tell me they will issue a prorated refund & expedite my request. I call every week and am told the same lie. They say you can log in to your account online, that is a lie, you will not have an online account and they have no contact info except the 800 #. DO NOT buy a home warranty from ELITE HOME WARRANTY.

I write very few reviews but this…

I write very few reviews but this deserves one. I had the pleasure of working with Michael Butler in the Elite HW claims department and he went above and beyond to help us out. There are some employees that just have that something extra and Michael is one of them. The customer service he provided is what makes companies really shine. We are extremely happy with Elite HW and Michael’s support has made us customers for life and we will be telling our family and friends about this great company. Thanks again Michael.

Elite is understaffed and unable to deliver

There is no way to file or view the status of a claim online. They frequently are unable to assign a tech for repairs within the agreed upon timeframe (24-48 hours). When I call to make or follow up on a claim there is usually nobody available or I've had to wait on hold for 20-25 minutes before being transferred to an answering service. I'm so disappointed by this company.

That said, the reps with whom I've spoken Jane been polite and did their best to try to get answers.

Choose the best plan for you

The company explained the plans. The lifetime option for a cheaper rate may not be for everyone no matter their circumstances. It’s a good option but must look at the value.

Robert was very knowledgeable

Robert was very knowledgeable, which helped me make my decision. I wasn't quite ready to make my decision but Robert thought I was and spoke with his manager to get me a better deal. Felt like I was buying a car. So I opted in to use this warranty company because I have had no luck with the one I'm with now. Please don't let me down.

More for your buck

Very informative and polite. Appreciated the variety of options as well. The information provided seems very comforting knowing I’m covered if anything goes wrong and my bad experience with another company at my old home won’t happen again. I really liked the option of having a warranty of 90 days after the maintenance is done for any other potential issues.

I think the company is fake

I think the company is fake. Read the reviews (the real ones), they don't cover anything, if you complain they offer you money. That's what happened to me about 2 weeks ago, still haven't gotten my money. I call I just get transferred, it's a scam!

Long on Promises Short on Delivery

I have a 10,000 character complaint that this space will not accommodate. Extremely condensed version: I signed up for Elite Home Warranty after reading and comparing reviews of other Home Warranty Companies based on their reviews, and their offered services. I selected their Elite Complete Plan, Agreement Number #####, at a cost of $1,200.00 on 8 May 2024.
On 10 August 2024 I contacted Elite Home Warranty Claim Service (888) 222-1202 to notify them that my 5-ton Rheem A/C Unit was not working, it was no longer cooling my home. My coverage states: “Air Conditioning Including Ductwork [2]: $5,000 per unit or $7,000 for each HVAC system per Year.” “Air Conditioning Including Ductwork: What Is Covered: All components and parts needed to perform its full functionality, including main control board, thermostats, compressors, motors, condensers, casings, pumps, transformers, capacitors, contactors, pressure switches, belts, pulleys, drain lines, thermistor, elements, exchangers, fuses, electronic circuits, rectifiers, evaporator coils, condenser coils, zone controllers, copper line leak repair, blower wheels, blower motors, defrost elements and Freon*, except:” Elite Home Warranty proceeded to lie to me. give me the run around and ultimately decided that they would not meet the obligations for repair as dictated in the agreement/contract and attempted to buy appease me with $300 which I refused. I am now intent on ensuring that I report them everywhere possible and receive a full-refund of $1,200 from them for their failure to honor their contract.

This company is a sham

This company is a sham! Read the contract says it covers leaks and breaks in the pipes then read down and says it doesn't cover "broken" pipes. This is their reason to deny everything, my pipe is not broken, it has a leak. Then they told me they didn't cover PCP pipes, which mine is metal and the plastic pipes is not in the policy contract. Also, waited 2 weeks for them to send a plumber and 5 weeks to be denied. Only after I got assertive did they suddenly have an answer for me. Read the BBB review, same outcome for everything, they offer you $500. Great business model, collect $550 for policy, most people will never have a claim, if they do, ignore any maybe they will go away, if they complain offer them $500, they still get to keep $50. I will be filing a complaint with the attorney general in my state as well as NY. This is deceptive business practice as well as not honoring insurance claims
