Be very careful. The website is designed to be confusing and deceptive on the auto-renewal. You have to make 100% sure it wont auto-renew. They wont give you your money back even after a day.

Terrible company and I agree with everything said in the reviews. I wanted to cancel but was put on a 6 month renewal plan at exorbitant cost and I have no way of getting my money back.

The matches are entirely random and do not take into consideration search criteria stipulated. The matches were unsuitable in every way. Total waste of money.

I tried to cancel my membership. This did not work and £150 was taken from my account. I contacted them immediately and requested a refund. They did not address this complaint and advised that my useless membership will continue. As I did not take screenshots I did not have evidence of my attempts to cancel. I have never experienced anything like this, where you immediately contact when they take payment and refuse to refund. I would avoid this app.

This site is useless! Very unsuitable matches and preferences that lead to suggestions that are too old or live very far away. Ridiculous!
And when I reached out for help/support there is none.

Don't waste your time. There is nothing Elite about it. Full of fake accounts and cross-over accounts from other dating sites.

Elite singles app simply does not work. Whatever preferences you set up, these are completely ignored and you keep receiving every day 20 random profiles that have nothing to do with your search. There's no option to browse profiles yourself other than what the app suggests you. That totally steels your ability to have any sort of control and you have to wait for elite singles to send, the day after, 20 irrelevant profiles. You end up paying for no service at all

Be careful. They took over £200 in subscription renewal, without a renewal notice and without 14 days cancellation option.

Refused to refund and were very rude basically saying “it was in T&Cs, not our problem”.

So EliteSingles business practices are not aligned with The Consumer Act 2015, where a renewal notification should be sent to customer.

Also, wrbsite is terrible, mobile app crashes, and matches aren’t suitable.

Probably one of the worst on line experiences you can have.

Terrible people they set my account to automatically renew and now want to charge me for 6 months I am not using.

I agree with many of the reviews. It’s a poor website. But worse it’s fraudulent. I have reported to my card issuer. I specifically said no renewal but they just renewed anyway with no prior notification and ignoring my instructions. It is very difficult to get in touch they intentionally make it too hard. However we collectively need to challenge this firm for their fraudulent activities.

I joined Elite Singles in April 2019 at a time when I had absolutely no faith in free dating apps. I thought I'd try Elite Singles, my logic being if people paid £200 for 6 month membership, they'd be proactive and more genuine in their search.
I was very proactive in contacting potential matches and within a month I got in touch with a man I will be marrying next month. We met in person on 13th of June 2019 and our wedding party is set for 13th of June 2023.
Yes, there were some people who were not good matches on Elite Singles and yes, I relocated to share a life with my husband to be. On the plus side we have an amazing partnership, we enjoy each other's company and we are a great match. Last year we even published a book, From the Mountain to the Waterfall - of love and relationships. We also have a podcast Behind the Rhymes, where we discuss love and relationships.
So, as we plan our registration and wedding party as well as our honey moon, I can definitely say that without Elite Singles, we'd have never met, let alone get married.

Don't subcribe. If you do, you may end up losing £100s like I did. Don't assume that they won't take money from your account even when you have stopped the subscription renewing, or that they won't chase you with financial threats when you think you have stopped your subscription. The way they operate appears deceptive and I felt ripped off. However, it is very difficult to take any meaningful action because the site is based in Germany. That means that consumer organisations like Trading Standards in England or consumeradvice.scot in Scotland won't take action. I had a very unpleasant and expensive experience with this dating website. Although I met people, it was their subscription and financial practices that caught me out. It is very difficult to close your account and you can easily get into an endless loop which takes you nowhere. It is no surprise their rating is so low on trustpilot. Please don't ignore that. If you read this, my advice is DO NOT sign up for anything that might lead to any kind of subscription. If you do, you'll regret it, potentially lose a lot of money and will be unable to get that money back.

I believe that most profiles might be fake. 80 contact smiles and no responses. Something seems deadly quiet on there. I had one message that made no sense and they never text again. I agree that something is not right as all the other reviews suggest. And matches are laughable

Without doubt the worst dating site I had the misfortune to join! You can’t search yourself, it does it!!! And it does it sooo badly. I wanted ages 30 to 50 and within 50 miles and it gave me 20 matches a day (matches is a joke!) always aged 50 to 65 and all over the country.
Worst of all this appalling site charged £220 for 6 months then rolled over my renewal automatically so it’s cost me £440!! With NO suitable matches at all.
Avoid like the plague it’s a rip off and useless!!!!

Believe the 1 star reviews on here, utter garbage. It's like using a website from the 1990's, the functionality is pathetic, and that's just the start, the matches were utterly useless, nothing like how I had set up my filters. I could make a vast list of things wrong, but I don't think there is space here......
Do yourself a huge favour, use a different dating website!

Make sure you cancel your renewal 7 days before it expires otherwise they will take more money off you and refuse to refund it.
"But it's clearly stated in the T&Cs".

I've been a member of EliteSingles for three months and I can certainly confirm that it is NOT a scam. It is a legit dating site which is worth checking out for sure. Just in my opinion members are way too square. That is why I decided to quit my membership on here.

But anyway, it is a legit site. No doubt about it. If it was not your cup of tea I'd suggest to use Mingle2day. It works quite well for me. But there are other options as well.

Wouldn't recommend at all. They give you preferences ie age and distance, and go completely outside the parameters. For instance my age preference was 50-59, they match me with a 36 year old. I live in Cheshire, they matched me with someone in Cornwall and someone in Ireland, when my preference was 50 miles.
Be careful if you want to cancel, you have to do this manually a minimum of 7 days before your membership expires, otherwise they automatically renew and the fee goes up. Also beware of fraudsters on there, Elite don't check anyone out. There's lots of insincere people on there as well. NOTHING ELITE ABOUT IT AT ALL.
