To whom it may concern,

To whom it may concern,

My husband and I called your company on this past Friday, October 6, 2023 to fix our broken garage door. Your technician, Jeremy, came out and was at our home for approximately an hour and a half. He reset our garage door in place, as it had been offset and we could not lower it, changed 2 torsion cables, 2 end bearing plates, and said he adjusted the spring. We had asked him for an estimate of how much a complete repair would cost us and he estimated anywhere between $750-$1200 because we needed also a new motor. He mentioned that he would have to order the motor for us. We were not given a written estimate. In fact, we were not given an invoice before we paid. When my husband asked for the invoice to see it before he paid with a check, the technician told us that we would get it by email after he received payment. He told my husband that the total price was $1230 and so my husband wrote a check for that amount, thinking that a motor was going to be included, ordered and installed for that amount. After the technician received the check and left the house, my husband received your email with the invoice. When he opened it up, it showed that we paid $1230 only for the few parts and short amount of labor that the technician did, and no motor or installation for the motor included. We read further on to see that what amounted to his labor cost was approximately $900. A complete scam and overcharge for such little work offered and completed. The door still does not work, of course, and we have no hope for a motor being included in this price since it was not included in the invoice. We made several phone calls and talked to your supervisor, Desireè . She was extremely extremely rude, made no excuses for the over charges or the invoice, and hung up on me twice. Then my husband called and spoke to another customer service representative named Jake, and he was told the exact same thing. My husband, therefore informed Jake that he was going to promptly put a stop payment on our check from our bank, which is exactly what he did. Please be informed that our bank has placed a stop payment on that check and those funds will not be released to your company.

On top of everything, we noticed in your bogus invoice, that there is a notice of cancellation of service and the ability to disagree and receive a refund of the payments. Therefore, we are officially, even in this email, notifying you, Elite Garage Door Repairs and Lead Driver LLC, that we no longer wish to have your services and we disagree with the terms of your invoice and business practices. We realize that it says on your invoice that we have three days in which to cancel this transaction and we are doing just that. We are well within the limits stated. For the record, the invoice is furthermore bogus by the fact that it is not signed, not by me nor my husband, does not even have our proper name listed and is also not dated. Therefore it is completely null and void.

We have done a background research on your company and have found it to be a bogus scam company posing as a local company here in Charlotte, North Carolina. We have found you to be an outfit, operating out of Texas, and we have every intention of reporting you to the police. You will also be interested to know that I have put your Bogus flyer, with its coupons, up on Facebook, Yelp, and the application Nextdoor, along with an explanation of the way you scammed us, to alert any and all of our local neighbors. As of today that post on next-door has been viewed by over 11,000 people in the local Lake Wylie and Charlotte areas. Lastly, we also realized by doing a research on yelp that this scam has been going on for quite some time as the original owner, Frank Arrigoni, has reported several times that the name of his company is being used to scam people in the Charlotte area.

You have been found out, and you have been weighed and been found wanton! Do not attempt to contact us any further. Any other correspondence will be submitted to our lawyers. Below, you will find screenshots of your very notice of cancellation, complaints on YELP that I sound as I was researching your company and a response from the defrauded Mr Frank Arrigoni, and a screenshot of the activity on Next-Door, proving how many people have already viewed my post in the last 36 hours. Shame on you!

Way overpriced

They were called to replace a broken spring, talked my husband into replacing a bunch of other parts for a total bill of $950, then to top it off they charged my card twice while insisting that one charge was only for .01.

Not a service oriented firm.

Based on my experience, I would say this is not a service oriented firm. Order and delivery were delayed by more than 2 weeks. They do not communicate well. Their installers were efficient but not careful. (They couldn't figure out how to remove a simple ground wire for my solar system, and then made up an excuse for why they couldn't reinstall it--a task that took me all of 15 minutes after they left.) In addition, Elite's quotes for gates was stratospherically high. (I ended up getting 2 custom iron gates made and installed by Rusted Bull for less than Elite quote for 2 standard iron & wood gates.) IN short: In a city the size of Phoenix, there are many better choices. Use one of them.

I used Elite Door and Window for replacement windows.

I used Elite Door and Window for replacement windows. The salesperson, Sean, described the product well and offered competitive pricing. The Installers arrived promptly on the day of installation. They were professional, could answer questions, worked together extremely well to provide a good finished product. The installers made this a great purchase for my house.

Good Service if you have a bunch of extra money

No complaints about the product or service. The technician was very nice, but make sure you get a few quotes before using these guys. The average quote for the spring replacement in Sacramento (single spring roll-up door) is $350. I was charged $675!!! It took a total of 30 minutes. $450 parts, $225 labor. Parts were marked up 150%, labor is $550 an hour. For a few hundred more I could have replaced the whole door. Moral of this story, know you stuff before you say yes to the contract!

Elite is significantly overpriced

Elite is significantly overpriced. I have a standard 16 foot wide door. They charged me $295 per spring. To be fair, this includes labor and fees, but the total cost for 2 springs (which only took 45 minutes to replace) was almost $600. The spring looks to be high quality and the service was fine, but the pricing isn't worth it. I should have done more research ahead of time. I learned an expensive lesson. I called management to see if they could help me out a bit, and they didn't budge at all.

very Pricy experience

I needed 2 12 v 7ah batteries for my dual arm solar gate.
I was charged $537.01. Which included
labor $195
Parts. $299.90 ($149.95 each battery)
Tax $41..16

Seems excessive for local battery cost is $38.95 plus tax
On contact with elite I was told we charge what we charge and our competitors would charge even more

Great service great repair!

Elite garage door is a great and reliable company to call should you have any issue with your garage door! I called same day and they arrived within hours and fixed the problem very quickly for a reasonable price. I haven't had issues since (and I used to have several problems with my garage door always getting stuck and not working).
Thanks!!!

A friendly local guy showed up 25 minutes after the call, he figured out what was the issue with my door in a second, and took another 15 minutes to get it's mechanism fixed. Very impressive, I'll definitely use them again
