Warning about Elle & Co. New York. I ordered two blouses from this company after noticing their “going out of business” sale, which included a 30-day return policy. The blouses arrived but were too small, so I emailed customer service requesting return instructions and an exchange for a larger size. I got no response, and after sending again, I got none. I then looked online for an address and found the statement that all returns must go to Asia!! However, still no return address listed. The blouses are cheaply made and aren’t worth the “sale price.” Looking at the website today, there is no “going out of business,” only a “clearance sale.”

Scam. Online presence is deceptive. Clothing that I received is not as pictured. CHEAP! Sent from China - not anything from NY. And the hassle free returns are a hassle - basically non-existent. I wish I had researched it more. Hopefully, these reviews help someone else avoid dealing with this dishonest company.

The company advertised hassle free returns. Be warned they will try to charge you $33 to return an item. Product doesn’t remotely resemble photos, instead it is produced with cheap sheer polyester and poorly assembled. Big scam and their website says they have to shut their New York location.

Do not order from this company. I ordered 4 items and decided to return all of them since they seemed to be very cheaply made. The website says "hassle free" returns but it is far from that. There was no easily available instructions on how to make returns so I sent an email asking what I needed to do. I got an email back asking me to first explain why I didn't want them, and so I responded. Then they sent another email saying they would refund me 20% and I could keep the clothes. I sent a 3rd email saying I didn't want that. Last email I recieved said, they'd refund the money in 30 days but first I had to return the items, and I had to pay the return postage. They also suggested again, that I might want to do the 20% refund even thought I'd already told them no. And they did not send instructions on how to make the returns, so I went back on their website and after digging around find out in addition to paying the return postage, I'm supposed to pay $10 per item returned. This is a horrible company.

This website is a scam. Once you purchase, your items are shipped from China. A packing label is created, but it’s been two weeks and I am still waiting for it to ship. I asked to cancel and refund my order and they responded requesting I send pictures of the clothes, even though I sent them my order number and they know I haven’t received them yet. I couldn’t find any reviews online, and their Facebook was created in May.
