We picked up the camper in Las Vegas.

Even during the vehicle orientation, we noticed a few issues that led to major problems later on during the trip. For example, there was a clearly visible dirty footprint on the bedsheet. The employee didn’t replace the sheet until we pointed it out.

In addition, the lever for the gray water tank was very difficult to operate. Even the El Monte employee had trouble operating it and simply handed us a can of WD-40 instead of fixing the problem. Later in the trip, the lever finally broke off completely about halfway through our vacation.

Unfortunately, in the days that followed, we also discovered that the camper was in an extremely dirty condition overall. This condition was not immediately apparent in its entirety when we picked up the vehicle. In our view, it is unacceptable to rent a vehicle in this condition to customers.

In addition, we had booked the Platinum Package, which includes, among other things, a coffee maker and a toaster. However, both items were missing when we picked up the vehicle. Unfortunately, we didn’t notice this until after we had left the rental station.

We have already forwarded the details of this incident directly to El Monte via a complaint email.

We like the room that the motorhome had 32 foot but we did not like electric hot water heater did not work luckily the gas worked for hot water. We did not like the two mattresses that just thrown in the sleep area over the driver and passenger seat.
That’s where I slept and it was ridiculous both uneven mattresses and that’s not even what was supposed to be up there by the manufacturer. I was very, very terrible uncomfortable. The back bedroom mattress was stained and very disgusting and we were told when we rented in Las Vegas that it was a 2025 camper which it was not we looked in the glove compartment and it was a 2024 I’ve rented from El Monte a few times last time we had no hot water the other time we had mold, dirty mattresses in the RV the first time we rented from bear RV, out of Seattle it was fantastic not sure who I will go with next time I ran an RV if I do El Monte again you can bet your bottom dollar that I will be calling the rental place before I pick up the RV and tell them what I expect for spending five to $6000 before I pick up the RV and I will go over it with a fine tooth comb!!!!!!!! oh yeah I forgot when I picked up the first RV from Vegas we got about 15 miles down the interstate maybe 20 miles and it was shaking so bad the front end I had to turn around and go back to the RV dealer that’s when the manager gave us the one we rented I really should’ve went over the RV good before I took that one as a customer. I really shouldn’t have to. I should trust your company to go over it to make sure everything is good. That’s all maybe I’ll do business with you again maybe not.

The pick-up and drop-off from the RV were very quick, mainly due to the self check-in. Staff was also kind and helpfully.
An free early pick-up, like it was a couple of years ago, would have been pretty.

Staff was friendly service was great

The RV was 9 month young! Everything is working! El Monte is my partner to rent an RV! I do it 4 times ago last years.
The staff is so friendly everyone give you the time you need !

The RV was mostly fine.
The refrigerator drawers were broken and the ceiling fan didn't work and the water hose we were given leaked and had to buy a replacement.
Otherwise the unit was in good shape, and was clean.

Walk thru at the store was unclear on how gray and black water worked. Hose dumped all over me when removing the cap at first dump site, so I figured it out with wet shoes.

Walk thru on stove and heater was minimal and lots of fumbling to get it to work. Was told some switches on the access panel 'don't do anything' but they do...

It was well appointed but the bathroom was very small. It drove very well and easy. The handover was not very thorough. It was someone who was just learning I think. The second drawer broke as the magnet was faulty when we got the van. Of course there was normal wear and tear on the van. The mattresses and bed was very comfortable. It was nice to pick up left over stuff from other campers.

Everything was great from pickup to drop off!
The only thing I wish was that I got more instructions on the awning and when not to use it.

Good service! Nice camper

It was a great trip. Don't get me wrong. It's was 2+ week in a Class B motor home (Sprinter Van) that had troubles and I think the company is stepping back from them. They worked with us on the issues and as a company things worked out OK. But I think that if they are going to do something it should be "all in", not a "kinda in" which was this experience. Would use them again. It was a fun trip!

First time driving rv. Staff was helpful showing us around the RV and answered any questions in SLC. Staff in LV were really nice and welcoming. They were able to quickly check us out. Leaving plenty of time to catch a flight.

I’ve rented road bear a few times already and every single time great customer service and really are considerate, greatest prices as well.
