Staff was friendly

Staff was friendly, fast service, but the food was not that good. Tacos were mediocre and the rice was the worst I have ever had. DRY! Beans were alright.

Recipe for food poison

Apparently the employees at El Pollo Loco are blind!!!
Seeving tostado salads with month old avocado and brown lettuce!!!
avocado slices looked like shoe brown leather!
The lettuce was brown and hidden under sour cream!
Half of the tostada shell was empty on the bottom!

El Pollo Loco is unresponsive to customer feedback on app failure

El Pollo Loco app offers DO NOT work with their kiosk ordering system. I have had this failed experience on three visits. Order staff have no clue on a local remedy.

I sent a query to El Pollo Loco to remedy the issue but no one bothered to reply.

After a 1 star Yelp review, a company flack sent me a link for help. Waited 10 business days. Nothing.

I used to eat there 3-4 times a month. But with such poor customer service, I will boycott El Pollo Loco. I don’t patronize retail outlets who show contempt to their loyal customers

Missing item in my order… Again.

I love El Pollo Loco, and find their food tasty and satisfying. But I’ve learned that the north Indio location, which I live closest to, seems to always miss an item in my order. Again tonight, I got home with my order and there were no tortillas. I’ve had this happen numerous times at the north Indio location where something was missing in the order. I think I’ve learned that I need to rummage through the entire bag to make sure everything is there before leaving the drive-through.I’ve never had a problem at any other location except for North Indio.

La Cienega drive thru-around…

La Cienega drive thru-around 6:30pm. Everything was pretty good,just the green sauce & guacamole was kind of spicy. Anyways,I chose mac & cheese,I found a piece of PLASTIC inside! I don't know from where or how it got there. Disgusting & dangerous! I took a pic of it but I can't download it here

El Pollo Loco, "Where's the Chicken/"

Wendy's had: "Wheres the Beef?", now El Pollo Loco has: "Wheres the Chicken?" I ordered a 3 piece chicken dinner consisting of two chicken breasts, and one wing along with an ala carte chicken breast for my wife. The chicken breasts are chopped into very small pieces and have very little meat. I complained about my wife's ala carte chicken beast and they offered me a thigh which I took. This keeps happening all the time. We're pretty much done with El Pollo Loco.

They big business change for more profits have changed here in Menifee

They have changed here in Menifee, Ca. Zero customer service waited for over 7 minutes the customer behind me left. You have to order on one of there machine now no senior discount. I’m done won’t go back I can get a better meal at an independent Mexican restaurant for the same price. Use to go to Habit for great Burgers but after won the award for best Burgers they changed the meat don’t like it now also won’t go back there. I’ll go to in-in out better quality and cheaper.

Include a drink with the combos

I like the individual 2, 3 & 4 piece meals. What I don't understand is why a drink is not included with the meal.
Everybody else, McDonalds, Burger King, KFC, etc. includes a drink with their combo meals. Why not El Pollo Loco ?

Skipped the chicken, terrible CS

#polloloco Wel today I attempted to try this restaurant 1 more time after many disappointments. Today I stopped in for a crunchy Chicken Taco and a Chicken Avacado taco, got home and the Crunchy Chicken had NO chicken and the Chicken Avocado Taco was so over packed it completely fell apart when I picked it up. Later I went back and showed who I was referred to as the Mgr the pictures of my purchase, this dude looked at me like So what and told me the crunchy tacos are pre made pre prepared and then cheese and lettuce are added when ordered. I said first well my Taco HAD NO CHICKEN and added pre made that's disgusting to d, he just stared at me like he didn't care. My wife ordered her Quesadilla this guy Never even offered an apology for the screwup NO did he provide the Chicken I paid for.. This store 43rd ave Cactus in N Phoenix has the worst customer service I have ever seen, To bad as I used to love El Pollo Loco Now I nor my family will ever return. Keep kissing on your customers and You won't have a JOB or business anymore

This not the first time that they…

This not the first time that they messed up my order. I ordered two salads and they gave me no dressing. I live a distance away and am not going back for dressing. What do they pay employees who can’t even put salad dressing in with a salad?

Bad customer service Pollo loco in San Bernardino on…

Pollo loco in San Bernardino on highland and sterling,,,,Businesses do not order from this location.
As a small business I placed an order for my employees 4/30/24 online. I had one of my employees go pick up the order and to my surprise they would not give her the order because she needed my ID the person who placed the order. And they would have been fine if when I receive my confirmation it stated that nowhere did it state I need to send my ID with my employee. Apparently there is a sign at the location that states due to fraud and ID is required but nowhere does it stated online. I am not a psychic to know what signs they have up at this location. The manager screamed at my employee very rudely when proceeded to ask for their name they did not want to provide a name. I was not asking for Social Security or any personal information but I do believe that if you have been chosen to run a business and you are the manager you should be able to give your first name and if not at least your initials. How we supposed to file a complaint with no names. Pollo Loco was quick to charge my card but yet now I have to wait until they investigate in order to get my refund,, Pollo Loco is not going to pay for my time my employees overtime and the stress they cost me. If an ID is required and that is one of the protocols they should stated online or at least on the confirmation that you receive when placing an order. Do not go to this location don't stress yourself out and this is the reason why they have bad reviews I should've trusted the reviews I read. All the manager gave my employee was the back of a receipt to call the one 800 number.
