AI robot rental
You can rent their AI robot, Moxie, which helps kids learn social skills, etc. monthly for a discounted $99, plus a one time security deposit and cleaning fee. Naturally, when I purchased, it was immediately shipped out. After a few days, my son did not want to interact with Moxie at all, so I attempted to reach out to the company to return it before my next rental charge came about. I didn’t hear back, so after 48 hours, I attempted to email again and then call customer service. It immediately went to voicemail saying no representatives were around to take the call and to leave a voicemail with my info, so I did. I was already getting frustrated because each day I didn’t hear back was another day closer to my next rental charge. I then attempted the following day to contact them directly through their site, followed by another email. After 6 days of not hearing back, I called one final time. The biggest red flag to me is that you can only cancel your subscription to them by talking to a representative who then walks you through the return process. There is no address listed on the site where the returns will be sent to because once again, it requires a representative for that info. You also have to pay them $20 for their shipping label before you even get the info, which is odd because it’s not hard at all to go to UPS or FedEx and ship the item yourself if you have the info. I would absolutely NOT recommend this service unless you want to be charged $99 a month until further notice, even if you no longer want the item.
