The best

The best, easy-to-use, featured email client for Mac and IOS. Unfortunately, it is hard to find and discover in the App Store and web search. I am glad I have found it! Definitely will get a personal license.

I constantly return to other mail apps…

I constantly return to other mail apps because it makes managing my email easier.
I bought a year with the black friday sale for the $40 they advertised to give it a go and frankly, the fact this app doesn't have a suggested folder function to follow all the other emails you get of the same time is such a PITA.
Bouncing back and forth between this email client, apple mail app, and betterbird, and frankly, rather better bird and will donate to that at renewal time to make it a better client. since you look at the desired features of emClient and the listing is huge on stuff that I would expect in an email client for today...

For moving messages, we currently have only Quick Move (using the "M" keyboard shortcut) that will have the last used folder pre-filled and Move to folder (right-click>Move to folder) that will keep the last 10 folders that you moved a message to. However smart autosuggestion is not available yet.

eM client solves most of the problems…

eM client solves most of the problems that i have with the web browser interface of gmail. Basically I want functionality that is similar to that provided by MS Outlook, and eM Client provides much of this functionality - which is completely absent in the browser version of gmail.

Good replacement to outlook but good be more secure

EmClient is really good and replaces Outlook very well. However, there is one feature that is really missing : the spam folder renders the html of the mails, which is a big issue because it does call the tracking urls that contribute to make the spams spam... Most of the time I have an alert from the antivirus when I click on a spam email (because sometimes you do have to click to check if it's not a false positive...).
Would be really great to fix that.

If you’ve blocked all external content in Settings > Mail > Privacy, the HTML in the message shouldn’t download anything either. Your antivirus alert might be triggered by external avatars, which you can disable in Settings > Contacts if you want to - but this is also safe and cannot link back to your email address to alert spammers of your activity.

I've changed from Outlook

I recently switched from Outlook due to performance issues. Many times, my emails were delayed on the server and would only reach the Outlook client several hours later.

Since moving to eM Client, I have not experienced these delays, which is a significant improvement.

However, I would like to suggest an enhancement. Currently, I am unable to send ZIP file attachments, as they are consistently rejected. This was not an issue when I was using Outlook, where sending ZIP files worked without problems.

I am not entirely certain, but it seems that eM Client may be using Gmail servers for sending emails (please correct me if I am mistaken). If that is the case, it might be Gmail’s security policies that are imposing these ZIP file restrictions.

Is there an option to use a different outgoing mail server (SMTP) to avoid this limitation?

Regarding ZIP attachments, eM Client does not use its own servers to send your emails - it sends mail through your account’s SMTP server (e.g., Gmail servers for Google accounts, Microsoft servers for MS accounts, etc... or whatever you set up in the Accounts section). If ZIP files are being rejected, it would most likely be due to server-side security restrictions.
You can set up other accounts in Menu>Accounts or change your SMTP server settings if you have an alternate one.
Another workaround is using cloud attachments (so files are sent as a link and not included inside the message itself) - you can set up your cloud storage providers in Menu>Settings>Mail>Attachments.

Slow to refresh the Inbox for Google accounts, search often fails

I switched to eM Client from Spark after growing dissatisfied with the inadequate performance and search function of Spark (and before that, Postbox). Unfortunately, eM Client has the same issues: I use Google Workspace for email with my custom domain, and eM often takes several 1-3 minutes after launch to sync the Inbox. Granted, I have ~36,000 messages in the Inbox, but Apple Mail and Gmail bring up new messages within seconds, so eM is doing something wrong. Worse, search in eM often fails to find messages that match the search terms, which does not happen in Gmail or Apple Mail. My conclusion is that eM is not worth the money, especially since Apple Mail and Gmail have improved their auto sorting features. So I'm cancelling my eM subscription.

Syncing new messages shouldn't take too long. First, please try enabling the download for offline use in Menu>Accounts>IMAP/Exchange tab>Sync Options > "Automatically download messages for offline use and search" > select "Full messages with/without attachments". This feature will download your messages in advance so they will be readily available. Also, please change the Message sync time period to "All time" under the same section.

Issues with search can be caused by the server search being enabled. Please try disabling it by unchecking the "Use server search if available" option in the Search bar drop-down menu.  With the "Download of offline use" enabled, you should be able to use the Search feature including its advanced features without any issues. Pros & Cons

Pros: I love the layout and have no problem receiving and delivering emails. Also, love the calendar format.
Cons: I am receiving much more spam and junk mail since moving to eM Client. I am using the rules to "blacklist" certain senders and domains but still getting tons of unwanted junk. Also, I am having trouble sharing my Calendar with my 2nd out of state PC. I would like to be able to transfer all my appointments online with my other PC without having to do very time consuming full backup and restore

eM Client moves messages to junk based on the spam headers from your email server and your custom Blacklist.
If your email provider's server is not correctly sorting the emails as spam, you can right-click the message > Move to Junk > Move to Junk and blacklist email/domain. Your local blacklist can be accessed and managed in Menu > Settings > Mail > Blacklist and whitelist.

Syncing calendars should be possible; calendars won’t sync if they’re local or if there’s an issue connecting to their server. If you only have a local calendar, register a synchronizable calendar account online and add it to eM Client via Menu > Accounts > Add account > Calendar. Then copy the local events to that calendar and add the same calendar to the other device as well, so everything will sync there.

Good app with some nice features BUT..

Good app with some nice features that i like but it lacks also some others that are existing since a long time in the usual mail app : creation of a new contact by clicking on the sender email address if not already in the contact database with integration of the info in the signature into the the added contact, detection of new appointment and automated creation in the agenda, clicking on an included ICS file to add the event in the agenda (it is good to be able to confirm the appointment in eM client - but not possible to add the ICS is a big lack) and, the application is VERY slow to synchronize multiple email accounts while it is fast and quite automatic in mail app…
Please add/correct these features and I will give it 5 stars

While you can currently add a new contact by right-clicking the sender's email address and selecting "Add to contacts", the automated adding of information from the signature into the new contact is not available. You can request this feature on our Sleekplan, so other users can add their vote as well: https://emclient.sleekplan.app

If you double-click an .ics file, you should be able to add the event/task to your calendar. If this does not work for you, please reach out to us at support.emclient.com and let us know your OS version, app version, and which provider you use for the Calendar/Tasks service.
