It was really pleasure to be 1:1 consultation with Zoya regarding specialist pathway career guidance.Team of Emergency Focus had taken lot of time in discussing all queries promptly during meeting and also post meeting thru email queries which had given me good clarity on all possible pathways available . Took the complete career guidance course and it turned out to be a really good choice as it helped me to land my first job in Australia. This would not be possible without the support of Doc Simra. There have been many times when I was down and the career guidance videos have been very motivational and informative. Thankful for all the support and positivity that I received during this time. It was a 1-on-1 career consultation with Dr Zoya and it was a good interaction. It was about knowing my medical journey and getting to know my clinical skills. I was also informed about the steps involved in specialist pathway and guided me with appropriate advice. Dr Zoya was very calm and addressed all my queries.

I never thought about taking a coaching course for AMC but when my sister pushed me to do it, it changed everything.

Before the classes began, I was skeptical as I am someone who doesn't want to leave out any topic or any book whatsoever.
But once they started, I realised you just need to trust your mentors and trust the process. It wasn't very difficult to be convinced either as from the beginning itself, you can see the effort and hardwork put in by the Emergency Focus team. And it's maintained a 100% at every step of the course.

Yearly, 2 courses are conducted for now (2 batches). It has a limited influx of students per course/batch. The considerate mentors focus on all prospective AMC candidates rather than a few selected group of people and are always giving, open to sharing their knowledge and experience with their students in every way possible.

As for the study part, they have collected everything from every resource needed with updated guidelines and compiled it all into their course so that you just go along with their flow. Every course/batch of the 2 per year gets the updated topics, important recalls and questions added too. There are also revision sessions, appropriate breaks, mock tests and self study revision times allotted.

Final Take:
Emergency Focus is the best AMC coaching course out there available for IMGs.
It's well curated by practising doctors of Australia who themselves have gone through the whole AMC process and so, are aware of the challenges one can face while preparing for it. A very interactive and balanced method of teaching is followed so that students not only progress incrementally in the set time but also overcome their inhibitions, moulding them for their future Australian clinical experience.

Dr. Laura Salado Vega and Dr. Rizwan Qureshi have done a marvelous job modelling this perfect approach to AMC which provides you with not only the clinical knowledge and exposure but also awards you with 80 CPD accredited hours upon completion of the course, which counts for almost 2 years of your CPD requirements in Australia.

Before joining this program, I often questioned whether investing in a complete career guidance course was truly worth it. Today, I can confidently say it absolutely was.

I took the career guidance course with Dr Simra. To give a bit of background I had completed exams, working rights, English test and workshops in my CV. I was actively applying for jobs but the response was not as expected. Initially, I had my doubts about this course as well but I would say this is one of the best decisions I made in my journey.
