Product details

It’s the seeds that make an heirloom tomato an heirloom tomato. Each season, farmers select seeds from the tomato plants that have produced the very best fruit in terms of colour, shape and taste. They’re usually open-pollinated by birds, wind or human hands so are as carefully created as this Heirloom Tomatoes Small Side Plate, 6.5 Inch, has been by us – right down to its decorative orange rim. This small ceramic plate shows how much the colours of heirloom tomato varieties vary; the tastes do too, which makes tomato side salads all the more interesting.

This is another gorgeous piece which thanks to design, colour & pattern matches in so well with many others I already have. Love the very original, simple motif. Perfect place to serve up my home-grown tomatoes 🍅

A little disappointed with the patterned rim which is not as bold in colour as the tomatoes on base. Always take a risk with the spongeware.
