A fabulous week's diving with Emperor…
A fabulous week's diving with Emperor Divers in Port Ghalib, Marsa Alam. Of course the Red Sea is a brilliant place to dive with beautiful corals teeming with a fantastic range of fish and marine creatures, including dolphins and turtles. Emperor Divers were super professional, very safety conscious, friendly and fun! The crew was incredibly helpful, the hydraulic lift to get out of the water was amazing, the equipment was excellent and boat was clean, comfortable and well appointed with loos and hot water showers as well as plentiful refreshments and delicious lunches freshly made by the crew. The best dive operation and boat I have ever experienced and I have been diving for 31 years! Highly recommended.
Emperor Harmoni - Raja Ampat - Amazing
While our 2025 Egypt trip with Emperor left us doubtful that our faith in diving there would ever be restored, I am delighted to say that our faith in Emperor as a company most definitely has been following our Raja Ampat liveaboard on Emperor Harmoni in Feb 2026.
From the very beginning — hotel collection, luggage handling, transfers and welcome onboard — everything ran seamlessly. It immediately set the tone for the week.
The dive managers, Nehed and Phil were consummate professionals, always energetic, approachable and fully engaged with guests. Every single member of staff played their part brilliantly — from the RIB skipper to the bar and dining team. The “backroom” crew certainly did not go unnoticed: cabin servicing was excellent, meals were exceptional, and the engine room was so immaculate it looked like the machinery had just been installed. While I didn’t visit the wheelhouse, the talented skippers got us everywhere safely and smoothly.
All of the dive guides appeared exceptional, and our special thanks go to Jerod for taking such great care of us. We arrived with no particular expectations and were blown away by the diversity of walls, reefs and marine life. Jerod expertly balanced our individual interests — ensuring I saw the large pelagics, while my wife was equally thrilled with nudibranchs and pygmy seahorses.
What really stood out was the atmosphere onboard. It was obvious the Harmoni crew genuinely enjoy what they do. The smiles, positive energy and teamwork made guests feel welcome, relaxed and fully able to enjoy the experience.
Having enjoyed it so much, we sincerely hope to return to Harmoni again before too long.
The fact that Harmoni was purpose-built as a dedicated dive vessel is evident — she is close to perfect. It is genuinely difficult to criticise anything.
If you’re thinking about diving in Raja Ampat, you’ll not go wrong with Emperor Harmoni.

We just spent another amazing week on a liveaboard with Emperor Divers, and once again they exceeded all expectations.
We have been diving for many years and with many operators, but Emperor consistently stands out. They manage to combine excellent service, great fun, and a very strong focus on safety in a way that feels effortless and completely natural. Everything is well organized, calm, and professional, which allows you to fully relax and enjoy the diving.
The crew is simply the best you could ever wish for. Nothing is too much to ask. They are attentive, supportive, knowledgeable, and always smiling. From the moment you step on board until the last dive, you feel genuinely taken care of. Not because it is their job, but because they truly care.
What makes Emperor special is that after all these years, it no longer feels like “just another dive trip”. It feels like coming home. 100% family vibes, above and below the water.
We already know one thing for sure: we will be back. Again and again.
Highly recommended for anyone who values safety, quality, and a fantastic atmosphere on board.

15 liveaboards and multiple day trips in the Maldives and Egypt. Emperor are a top outfit - highly recommended!
what caused the fire that sunk your vessel in egypt
Hello there. Any update on the cause of the fire that burnt your vessel in Egypt?
I had booked a trip to the Solomon Islands with Bilikini when it was an Australia based company.
You have since acquired that company, and I’m sure that I’m not the only one concerned about your safety record given the destruction by fire if your vessel in Egypt, as well as another vessel in Egypt dragging its anchor and hitting the reef.
Please provide some information on the cause of the fire, especially something that shows that it was not due to negligence.
I have been emailing you for several months now and all you have done is stonewall me.
Otherwise please refund me my deposit on the Bilikini sailing.
Two great days diving with Emperor in Sharm El Sheikh
I managed to sneak in a few days diving whilst on a family holiday in Sharm El Sheikh. I booked online with Emperor Divers using their on line facility which was easy and straight forward to use. I made arrangements with them to be picked up and returned to my hotel, which was easy and very convenient for me. I managed to get three dives in on each day and can't recomend Emperor enough. The team from admin, Reception, dive boat crew and dive instructors/guides were all friendly, professional, and fun to be with. The team managed to take us to sights which were relatively empty of other dive boats, the diving was very good with great selection of coral and sea life. Thank you Emperor divers for such a good few days diving.
Absolutely fantastic
Just got back from a week long trip in the red see. The boat was the asmaa. The trip the famous five .well where to start . Crew were fantastic. The chefs turned out amazing food three times a day . The crew were all friendly and joined in with our trip antics .lots of dancing and high spirits .the cabins were constantly cleaned and kept top notch .
16 of us on the boat all members of the same dive club . Salah and mamaud our dive guides were amazing !!! Felt almost like family by the end of the week .nothing was to much hassle and always felt safe on the boat and in the water .cannot stress enough just how brilliant every member of the crew were
Wonderful experience and a suggestion
The people at Emperor are the most serious and prepared professionals in the diving business that I found all over the world. The security aboard is simply exceptional and the care of customers is world wide class. There is a suggestion, though. If the port is closed for sea conditions, be prepared to evaluate diving alternatives, because shore sites close to Port Ghalib are terrific.
Great divemasters and boat
We went on the Emperor Elite dive boat to Elfinstone, Brothers and Daedalus in the Red Sea. The boat was great, but our two divemasters, Hassan and Mustafa, made the trip special for us. They and the crew took very good care of us all the way.
I had a very nice time with Emperor…
I had a very nice time with Emperor Drivers, in Port Ghalib, night dive was very amazing, Also Dolphin house was very crystal clear dive, some places had lot of plankton and Nekton in water, but no problem, fish needs to eat too, price is good also, keep it rolling...
Couldn't praise them highly enough
Couldn't praise them highly enough. Had a wonderful experience with them. I'm new to scuba diving and they were all patient, kind, understanding and helpful. I felt so comfortable with them all and it was like being with family. I can't wait to go back. Miss them already and I'm only home two days!
Great crew, shoddy company
Update to respond to the response. There is NO option for a "generic upper deck cabin" when booking. There are two twins and 2 doubles on the upper deck and you pick one or the other. We booked the doubIe. If, as they claim, they did get a booking that did not specify twin or double, how on earth did they know to provide us with a "double bed?" Their own website states they will convert the twins to a double ON REQUEST. No one requested that and we would not have paid the same price for a room 2/3 the size with two twin beds jammed together. The other twin cabin was empty the whole trip - they clearly wanted to fill the twin cabin. They took ZERO responsibility.
The crew was really great but the company has dubious practices when an error in booking occurs. Thankfully I booked through a third party who took responsibility for their error and that of Emperor's. Emperor denied any responsibility. They said the cabin class I booked was full (double upper deck) so they took it upon themselves to book me into a twin cabin, No one requested this nor authorized this. The agency I booked through did not notice that they had not honored my double cabin booking. Emperor should have taken the initiative to state that the cabin choice was not available, but instead slipped me and my husband into an inferior cabin which we only learned about on departure day. After multiple emails, they had every reason imaginable to avoid any responsibility. Really too bad because the crew was great. There are many wonderful liveaboard options, but if you need to book with them, book through a reputable third party and check and double check your reservation booking.

Emperor Divers are fantastic!
Another vote for Emperor Divers in Sharm el Sheikh. I have just done 14 dives with them over 5 days and their service cannot be beaten. They are very customer orientated and offered whatever I needed to ensure the best experience for myself and partner (non diver). My experience of dive organisations is very limited but there is no reason why I would not give Emperor 5 stars for quality & service and I will certainly be back next year. Everyone I met there went out of their way to help. Special thanks to Stephan who taught me to dive (rather than just tick off a list of skills on a Padi checklist!).
7 Safaris - and more to come!
I have dived for the seventh time with Emperor Egypt this April (all safaris, since 2017, ships Superior and Elite) and already booked safari no. 8 for Apr 2025.
First of all: the safety at sea is - imho - outstanding.
Before you leave harbour, the safety procedures are explained, is shown to you: fire prevention and technique, function and places of extinguishers, escape routes, different oxygen delivery systems and so on..., medical equipment, satellite phone, radio channel.
Emperor gives me the best mix of very good maintained ships, interesting iternaries, honest friendly staff, excellent food, sensitive, all caring guides. And by all means, they tell you in a most friendly matter, but nevertheless crystal clear, the do's and don'ts and you better follow - for the sake of safe diving and an excellent tour.
Booking is easy, not matter if you're just a buddy team or 16 divers. Response by the guest care staff is fast, mostly within the same day - or you get a note at least kinda "we're getting back to you asap". You can chat, email or even call and use messenger services.
All this comes with reasonable "all in" pricing AND NO HIDDEN extras. Ok, beer and other alcohol is to be paid on top, what is understandable.
The cabins come in different sizes, styles and decks, but all are clean and cleaned on a daily base during diving times, so they won't have to interfere with you being in the cabin. Beds are comfortable.
If you face a challenge, no matter what, these guys will help you and find a solution for you, e.g. I once lost a wheel on my suitcase, getting from the airport belt to the car, it was fixed aboard.
Again, I've booked safari no. 8 for my seven buddies and myself (again) and will continue to dive with Emperor.
Simply amazing!
We have been traveling to Egypt for many years now. This time and this it is our 2nd stay in Wadi Sabarah Lodge wich is located south of Marsa Alam airport. About a 30 minutes drive. A splendid build and managed hotel for those who want to escape from the daily rush back home. Fine traditional Egyptian food is being served at your table, no loud music or entertainment. Just the beautifull botanic garden, the infinity Pool with magestic view on the Red Sea. To explore the underwater world Emperor Divers is running a well equipped divecenter at the beach. What they offer is local housereef diving, local shorediving at nearby divesites. Also you can hop on one of the Emperor boats wich are located in Port Galib. On them you can visit divesites in the Port Ghalib area on a daily basis. Next week we will be back at Wadi Sabarah to do some local and boat diving. Tonight we have our transfer to one of Emperor Divers liveaboard or safari boats to explore the reefs down South. We will stay on Seven7seas on the South and St Johns itinery. As soon as we finished this trip we will review that trip for you. For now we just can revommend Wadi Sabarah Lodge and Emperordivers.com, they just are amazing!
I keep coming back for more
Well where do I start the whole trip was so professionally organised the flights and pickups at airports where all on time we where dropped of at the boat where we were greeted by a dive guide and some of the crew
The dive boats was very well organised and very indept dive briefing’s
And all dives where supervised expertly and with safety as the top priority
As for the food it was outstanding the cooks would always do the omelettes to your own liking or anything you fancied nothing was to much trouble
Meal times they always did something different like roast turkey and they did a steak night
I’ve been coming with you guys for a number of years keep up the good work see you in September
First class dive operation
Have done several Liveabaords with Emperor and would highly recommend them. The guides on the boats are excellent, friendly and helpful and the safety culture on board the boats is far superior to other operators I’ve dived with such as having a fire warden patrolling the entire boat every 15 minutes at night whilst guests are sleeping. The crew are amazingly professional and are always on hand to assist you with your equipment before and after diving. And the food which the chefs manage to prepare in a small galley is incredible, including great afternoon snacks!
I’ve also done day diving with Emperor in both Port Ghalib and in Sharm and was equally impressed with their professionalism. A first class dive operation.
Not enough...
I'm PADI Assistant-Instructor, with about 1200 dives in 22 years.
Booked our diving Holiday in Port Ghalib, diving with Emperor Divers. I'm not naming the travelling agency, because they have nothing to do with it.
A couple of weeks before we took off, we were asked to send a copy of our passports towards Emperor, and the other usual info: declaration of health, special wishes, etc. So we did, and we got a confirmation everything was receiverd in good order. A couple of days before we took off I contacted Emperor Divers again as I allways do, tell them which hotell we would be staying, when they could pick us up (the first time with luggage), and if there were formalities left to fulfill which could be done in advance in order to make our first day start smoothly. I also told I would like to come to the shop to get acquainted. I soon received an answer about there shop's opening times, and all formalities were ok.
After we arrived in our hotel (Port Ghalib) I went to the shop, oly to find out that it was closed and empty! No sign on the door, nothing. Worrying!
Went to the port and found the Emperor Skye in the harbour. Went on board and told personel that we had booked 8 days of diving withe them. They never new we were coming!! They never read the mail telling them we were coming (I saw that it was sent to the in a CC).
Again I had to fill in all the papers for me and my wife (buddy) and the again asked for a copy of my passport, which I refused. I first wanted to know were the first copies were gone.
Next day, after we were picked up, they forgot that my wife would be coming too: I'd filled in the papers the day before!! After this was fixed we were ok to go.
Diving was nice, although limited to a small number of reefs because of the wind, and the snorkelers that joined us every day.
After a couple of days we were told the rest of our days diving would be done from another boat (Isa, I believe). No problem, but too bad we couldn't use the lift on the afterdeck of the Skye anymore.
The PADI crew on the Isa is, as they were on the Skye, friendly, helpfull, professional, and they know their stuff. However, the staff on board, hired to help the tourist in and out of the water etc. were quit young and very (very) inexperienced. Making mistakes proving they know absolutely nothing about SCUBA diving! Examples: smoking on the afterdeck (Nitrox on board), pushing DSD-pupils when they hesitated to step in the water (with commando-step). Also giving my wife (800+ dives in 22 years) a "push" when she is about to to enter the water. When I made a remark about the latter the made fun of me. Also not opening the cylinders properly for the tourists., and, when picking a BCD out off the water they lift it òver the diver's head! If they drop it....
My advice: Emperor Divers should be socially concerned, not hiring kids, but their parents, so the kids can go to school! Also supporting staff should at least be certified PADI Rescue, so they understand what to do, and what nòt to do!
Great training, great diving!
Emperor divers (Sharm) were incredibly accommodating to our group with a range of ability and experience. The courses were excellent as was the diving that followed. All well organised and felt really safe. Special shout out to Ossie for getting my boys through their open water
