Got my first pair on time! No delay at all

For me the shoes are expensive and I only buy on sale - and even then, I really think about it. One thing I would suggest is that perhaps Empress needs to be more forthright in warning or reminding prospective purchasers that IF they intend to replace the Empress insole with their own orthotic, to remember that the shoes are flexible in part as there is not much depth in the actual shoes. I have had several pairs that I cannot wear, and returning is NOT what I do well ... well, not at all, and so I have wasted my limited money I allocate for clothes.

Really disappointed in these shoes. I have wide feet, and had targeted ads spamming my social media saying these flats were made for wide feet. ...they are not. They are also too short- I measured carefully according to their instructions, and sized up one size. Turns out I should have gone two. Because I live in Canada, I'd have to pay for returns, even if I was exchanging. They did offer a 75% refund in lieu of an exchange so I took that, since they couldn't tell me if a larger size would be any wider... but now I've still paid $50 for shoes that are too small. They should really publish more information about the width, adjust their sizing chart, and make exchanges free!
(Also: Is it really an Australian company? There are some big made-in-China vibes. ...starting with the fact that the very slow shipping originated from China.)

Great comfortable shoes.we’ll see how they hold up within time…
Update: 1/7/25: I wore the shoes to walk around and it seems like the second shoe inserts are too big for me and when I walk the shoes comes off. So I’m not sure if is an insert issue or the shoe itself but the shoe is beautiful. I had to insert the original shoe-insert and it seems more confortable for me and the shoe doesn’t come-off.

I bought two pair of square toe flats. One was matte leather caramel, the other was wine patent. Though both size 42, the wine patent was 1/2” shorter. I provided photos. I was offered a replacement (uncertain, but I ordered a 43 this time), a no charge replacement was sent immediately. Exceptional service and very responsive by email.

I just love my flat shoes! They are so comfortable and beautiful that I can wear them all day long! I received a lot of compliments for them!!

The quality and styles are excellent. And all of the shoes I have purchased are very comfortable to wear, however, I wish your shoes were more affordable. If I could afford it I would buy more of your shoes in the different styles and colours. Thank you for creating shoes that look good and feel great to wear. The service you offer is excellent. I looked at these shoes for a long time as I have a foot problem. Was nervous about buying them from an international store with the difficulty of an exchange if needed. Also they were on sale but still pricey. Finally bought them - they are really cute and I like having two sets of inserts. The square toe is really nice. I think they run a little small so more size help in the website would be helpful. Not sure if I need the next size up - not spending the postage for an exchange. I will see over time my true thoughts. Oh after I bought them they went on sale even lower so I missed out on that price.

The Empress shoes are fashionable, well made, lovely leather and comfortable.

They are comfortable shoes, however I am usually a very comfortable 42 and my toe touches the end of the shoe, I found the to be on the small side.

The service was fast. The shoes are exactly what I thought I was buying and feel like soft clouds on my feet. I absolutely love them!!

I wanted to give Empress another chance, I ordered the square toe flats in silver, and they look nice, but they arrived with glued-in insole and liner, both were glued together with a toxic - smelling glue. I use the extra insoles they send, so this was not going to work, since I couldn’t get out the other ones. I’ve been ripping and prying it out (at the suggestion of Empress) but there is still some in the toe of one shoe. I know this is not how they usually are, so I wrote to Empress. Basically, they want me to remove the glued-in liner and insole and they are sending me new liners I will have to glue in myself.

I tried to give them the chance to do the right thing and offer a new pair, but I finally had to spell it out to them that this is a defective pair and they need to make it right. Why should I be required to do shoe repair on a new pair of shoes? I would have to pay for the adhesive as well.

Anyway I am waiting to hear back from them. I’d like to update this review saying they have made things right, but I’m not sure that will happen.

I don’t know why they didn’t offer a replacement pair to begin with, I suppose to cut costs, but they could have at the very least offered a discount or something. But really, the shoes are defective so I need a new pair, or a refund if they have sold out.

There is still glued-in liner and insole in the toe of a shoe, along with the toxic smell in both of them. Some of the liner is glued in so completely that it would ruin the base of the shoe to remove it.

I want to leave nice reviews since some of their shoes have been comfy and cute…but the defective aspect is ruining things for me.

The description was detailed and the total experience was easy. I was nervous ordering from an international company outside the USA but I was pleasantly surprised with the results. The quality and comfort of the shoes is amazing. I am waiting to see of the bucket flats are coming back. I want to order moere.

Shoes were too small in my normal size 10, in gact so tight that I cannot even get the inserts in. I have tried three times to get a response from thrir customer service. No response, even with a threat of challenging charges on my credit card. DO NOT BUY EMPRESS SHOES. Zero customer service, regardless of what their website says. Expensive shoes with false advertising, no support, wrong sizing, and no customer service. Scam much?

In response to Kate from Empress: All those emails said is that they had received my comment and someone will be in touch. No one ever got back in touch.

Absolutely love my shoes! Perfect comfort from the minute I put them on and look gorgeous!
