Enable Disability Driving School are a team of friendly and knowledgable driving instructors who specialise in training pupils of all abilities with a keen focus on inclusive learning, including teaching and learning of individuals with additional learning, physical and emotional needs. We have a fleet of tuition vehicles, teaching both manual and automatic transmissions, with the option of using an adapted vehicle as well which can be tailored to individual needs. The adapted vehicle consists of infra-red smart hand controls, steering lollipop, and push pull accelerator and brake pedals. There is also the option of a left footed accelerator if required. Our team have a variety of experience, with a combined total of 30 years driving tuition experience. Our instructors also have additional background experience working in healthcare, mental health, teaching, motor trade and armed forces experience. As such, regardless of your needs, we can find the best instructor to suit your individual needs. We aim to provide a holistic experience to each client which can range from theory and practical driving education, to purchasing a vehicle, adapting vehicles, and beyond. We provide lessons to beginners, as well as providing finesse to experienced drivers, supporting individuals with transitioning from an international license to a British driving license, or providing familiarisation courses to drivers who are experienced in driving a standard vehicle, adapt to driving an adapted vehicle. We work closely in conjunction with a variety of national bodies including the NHS, Motability and DVSA, along with a variety of other organisations including SSAFA, and the Disability Driving Instructors.
