Worst experience with Eneco ServiceGemak

Worst experience with Eneco ServiceGemak

I become Eneco ServiceGemak customer in December. They outsource the cv-ketel maintenance to local company. For the past 7 months, I try to arrange the maintenance appointment but it's impossible. External company says they don't have werkbon to start the maintenance, Eneco says they created the werkbon. They expect customers to call the external company to arrange it, but it's impossible since that company claims there is no werkbon. I have called both parties 10+ times, still nothing is arranged.
I will never try any eneco service again!!!

Today I got an automated message from…

Today I got an automated message from Eneco stating I owe them 255 euros for May and April energy. I am not sure they pay attention to customers, I have paid the final invoice in May hoping to be done with this company but unfortunately they keep contacting me. let's do this again and hopefully it sinks in this time. I moved out of that property at the end of February, if there is any outstanding amount for energy you need to contact the owner or new occupants. I will not pay any more bills after my move out date.

Unsafe boiler, no replacement, still paying rent

ENGLISH

We have been renting a central heating boiler from Eneco for about 10 years, but our experience has been very poor, especially in the past year.

Over the years there were multiple issues with the boiler, while maintenance was very limited. In roughly 10 years, maintenance was only performed a few times. When the boiler indicated it needed service earlier, this was sometimes refused because according to Eneco the maintenance interval had not yet passed. Some problems were never properly fixed. For example, ticking noises were treated by applying grease, and warning messages were cleared while it later turned out that the expansion vessel was defective. This already gave us the impression that maintenance was not taken seriously.

In May 2025, an Eneco technician rejected the boiler because it was leaking internally and was even considered a potential fire hazard. From that moment on, the real problems started. It was very difficult to get a clear answer about how this would be solved, even though their own technician had declared the boiler unsafe.

After that, Eneco tried to change our fixed-term contract into a contract for an indefinite period. When we did not agree, they first claimed they were not aware that the boiler had been rejected. Later they acknowledged the existing contract, but then stated that nothing could be done under the current agreement.

According to Eneco, the boiler would only be replaced if we signed a new contract. We refused, because our current contract runs until 2027. It does not seem reasonable that a boiler declared unsafe by their own technician is only replaced if we accept new conditions.

At this moment the boiler no longer works at all, while we are still paying about €46 per month in rental fees. We have spent an entire winter without proper heating and hot water while the contract was still active.

The case is now with legal assistance, but it is very hard to understand how a company can leave a rejected and unsafe boiler in place, refuse to act under the existing contract, and continue charging rent.

Based on this experience, I would strongly advise people to think twice before renting a boiler from Eneco.

Wij huren al ongeveer 10 jaar een cv-ketel bij Eneco, maar onze ervaring is helaas zeer slecht, vooral het afgelopen jaar.

In de loop der jaren zijn er meerdere problemen geweest met de ketel, terwijl onderhoud maar beperkt werd uitgevoerd. In ongeveer 10 jaar tijd is er slechts een paar keer onderhoud geweest. Als de ketel eerder om onderhoud vroeg, werd dat soms geweigerd omdat volgens Eneco de onderhoudstermijn nog niet verstreken was. Storingen werden ook niet altijd goed opgelost. Zo zijn tikkende geluiden ooit verholpen door de ketel in te vetten, en zijn storingsmeldingen uitgezet terwijl later bleek dat het expansievat defect was. Dit gaf al langer het gevoel dat het onderhoud niet serieus werd genomen.

In mei 2025 is de ketel door een monteur van Eneco zelf afgekeurd omdat hij van binnen lekte en zelfs brandgevaarlijk zou zijn. Vanaf dat moment begonnen de echte problemen. Het was moeilijk om duidelijkheid te krijgen over hoe dit opgelost moest worden, terwijl hun eigen monteur had aangegeven dat de ketel niet meer veilig was.

Daarna probeerde Eneco ons contract voor bepaalde tijd om te zetten naar een contract voor onbepaalde tijd. Toen wij daar niet mee akkoord gingen, werd eerst gezegd dat men niet wist dat de ketel was afgekeurd. Later werd het bestaande contract wel erkend, maar toen kregen we te horen dat er onder dat contract niets meer kon worden gedaan.

Volgens Eneco kon de ketel alleen worden vervangen als wij een nieuw contract zouden afsluiten. Omdat wij nog een lopende overeenkomst hebben tot 2027, hebben wij dat geweigerd. Het lijkt ons niet redelijk dat een ketel die door hun eigen monteur is afgekeurd alleen wordt vervangen als wij nieuwe voorwaarden accepteren.

Op dit moment werkt de ketel helemaal niet meer, terwijl er nog steeds ongeveer €46 per maand huur wordt afgeschreven. We hebben een hele winter zonder verwarming en warm water gezeten terwijl de overeenkomst nog loopt.

De zaak ligt inmiddels bij de rechtsbijstand, maar het blijft onbegrijpelijk dat een afgekeurde en onveilige ketel blijft staan, er geen oplossing wordt geboden onder het bestaande contract en de huur wel gewoon wordt geïnd.

Op basis van deze ervaring zou ik mensen aanraden goed na te denken voordat zij een huurketel bij Eneco afsluiten.

The company canceled my contract after…

The company canceled my contract after providing meter reading by themselfs. They just sent me an invoice for 5 days service ( 15.2-20.2.2006 ) with full amount for gas and electricity which should be the agreed monthly fee + they added cancellation penalty. Total they require 156 EUR
They've created an issue for a client + they dare to penalize me for their own mistake or their technical issue. This is a case for a lawyer.

The company cancelled the contract within 14 reflection days as well.

The customer service is unhelpful

The customer service is unhelpful and avoids explaining the charges despite multiple requests. Their app also doesn’t work properly—the information in the app doesn’t match the invoices, which only adds to the confusion. I do not recommend subscribing to their service.
