Unsealed formula bottle in a sealed Enfamil box
I recently purchased a box of Enfamil formula from Shoppers Drug Mart on March 3rd, 2026. After feeding the formula to my baby, I later discovered that one of the bottles inside the box was not sealed. The bottle appeared to have been opened previously, and the bottle had tape covering the cap. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that the internal seal of the bottle was also completely broken. Now this situation is extremely concerning for me as I had already fed the sealed formula to my baby before noticing this issue (my baby is 100% on formula). And because of this I have noticed changes in my baby’s health that are concerning. My baby is throwing up a lot and pooping more frequently and watery throughout the day.
So, I sent a detailed email to Enfamil customer care stating the situation and providing the details of the box with batch number and expiration and location and date of purchase. Enfamil customer care reached out to me the next day, reported everything and gave me a $15 refund.
I requested the team to investigate the matter urgently but it felt like a very regular customer service call which was ended after the refund. I am so disappointed as I felt like the entire email was addressed as if the concern was for the refund or money spent on an unsealed formula. Last night my baby got sudden fever and I am paranoid that the formula could be the reason.
