Headboard

The process of ordering was smooth and the product arrived with no damage. We are satisfied with it as well. The reason for 4 stars is because the time between ordering and arrival was lengthier than expected. However, when I emailed the company regarding my concern, they responded. This did not result in faster shipping but the gift did arrive before Christmas.

This company had great communication

This company had great communication. I had a wonderful experience with them. The item I ordered was backordered. That gave me the option to cancel or keep it. I decided to go with the order and then it came much earlier than expected. I am very happy with my rug and the price.

They say they don't have the manpower to track their own inventory

English Elm says they don't have the "manpower" to track their own inventory. So beware what you think you just bought will take them a few days to figure out they actually can't ship it since they don't have it and no way of fulfilling it. They'll gladly list 300,000 SKUs but have no idea what's actually in stock. Very unreliable.

I love ordering from English Elm

I love ordering from English Elm. They consistently offer a great variety of products I enjoy, and their shipping is exceptionally fast. The packaging is also done very well. I will always continue to order from this shop.

Bed Skirt is Great, Communication Needs Work

I love the bed skirt that I ordered. It was exactly what I wanted, and have been watching across multiple sites for over a year or more. The only thing I didn’t like about buying from English Elm was they kept giving me timelines and then when I’d check in, the timeline would change. Also, I reach out at one point for an update and they said they’d get back to me in 1-2 days and I didn’t hear from them for several days until I reached out again. So better communication, and giving updates when timelines change is what I suggest doing better with! But overall, I’m glad they had what I was looking for.

Return Policy Is Bad

Bought a $500 dollar chandelier. Only opened the top of the box to verify it was too large. When contacted to verify the return process, they provided no return label and you had to provide them the tracking number in order for the refund to not get delayed or denied. Sending back the same method as shipped, UPS, the cost was $170. Seriously, shop at places that give you free returns. I would have considered a different light from this store but losing out on return shipping was a big no no on their part.

It was fine, love the furniture

It was fine. I love what I ordered. I only gave it a 4 because it took so long for me to get the furniture I ordered. I know it wasn’t their fault because it was based on when the manufacturer could ship it, but I felt they could have done a better job of letting me know up front that it would take 3 months.

I do not recommend buying from English…

I do not recommend buying from English Elm. They have items for sale on their website but they cannot fulfill the order and then they try to upsell you.

Not good

At first, English Elm could not procure all the furniture products I purchased, as they sold items they didn't actually have in stock. Then, after several weeks of going back and forth, they agreed to a partial refund for one of the items. The other item took MUCH LONGER to ship to me than they first communicated. It was a painful process, and I won't shop there again.
