They showed a picture of another product which was what I ordered. But was given a completely different bottle of brandy which was half the price and no glass or gift box.and charged £70 plus £7 postage. Steer clear of this company.

I was really disappointed with the quality of the product. I purchased the hip flask as a gift for my best man, but the quality was far below expectations and completely inappropriate as a present. The flask had visible scratches and damage around the funnel area, and it also had a noticeable metallic taste. I had to find an alternative gift at the last minute and return this one, which resulted in unexpected customs charges that I never received back. At least return went easy and they replied to e-mails.

I purchased a Stag Whisky decanter and two matching glasses. The product looks amazing but is not fit for purpose as the decanter stopper is not even close to being airtight. Therefore a very expensive ornament.

I'm really pleased with my recent purchase of a glass bottomed tankard. The tankard is lighter than I thought it would be for the price but the quality is good and an excellent job has been done with the engraving. Delivery was swift and communication good.

Discussed with customer service team regarding what type of gift I was looking for, for a colleague who was retiring Zara was extremely helpful with lots of ideas on the perfect gift. We couldn’t have picked a better company to purchase through as the gift was perfect. Excellent craftsmanship at a very reasonable price. Thank you for all your help.

Product was fine but they will spam you afterwards

I bought 4 customised glasses for wedding gift. I emailed the company immediately after the order was done to mention that I would like to have the 4 glasses wrapped in one box - naturally. I waited for almost a day before i sent another reminder to my email. I received one after the reminder that say they do not have a box big enough for 4 glasses and that the glasses would have to be individually wrapped. As the customer service person obviously did not have much initiative to suggest otherwise, I called to make payment for the additional gift wrapping and asked if the glasses could be packed in twos. I was informed yes. Thankful that a nice gift is on the way, I now received an email that the courier has picked up the items so only 1 was wrapped and the other 3 weren't. It's only after my purchase that I had a look at the reviews on this company. It's a shame I didnt check earlier - it is such a mixed bag of reviews! I spent quite a fair bit including shipping and can now only hope that the pewter would not drop off in the mess of glue or that the receiver would not be wondering why the gift came half wrapped. Totally hopeless customer service with no initiative. One question, one answer - there's no indication of the customer service going out of the way to be helpful. Disappointing first experience shopping with the company, and definitely the last.

Cheap item. The pewter animals are stuck on with a blob of glue so came loose. Mine arrived detached from the glass. They did offer for me to send it back and get a replacement but it was faster to glue it back on ourselves. Didn't hold high hopes a replacement would be any better. Won't be buying anymore

Placed a order for three items ,one engraved ,arrived next day before 12pm .Am impressed with the quality and the engraving was perfect .Well packaged and nice box and glass in a velvet pouch and box . Would definitely recommend this company and a good choice of items .

Sent me a tankard that my autistic brother could have engraved better. It wasn’t even the design I sent in. The tankard was crap quality too. Won’t use again

After reading the negative comments I have to defend this Company for my own personal view.

I ordered a hiball glass for my Husbands birthday with an inscription on it.

I contacted them to make sure I had completed my order correctly and found their Customer Service was excellent and the lady I spoke to was extremely helpful. She explained the delay was with my PayPal as for some reason it was paid as an e-cheque which takes time to clear (I stress through no fault of the Company at all, mine). She promised to call to let me know when it had cleared and good to her word she called the next day to let me know it had. My parcel was posted out immediately and it arrived promptly the next day.

It was a beautiful item, very well made, packaged well and the inscription was stunning, one very happy husband, so I have nothing but praise for the excellent customer service and quality item I received.

Really poor quality itemsat over inflated prices. I reviewed the products I bought from them on their own own website, they didn’t publish the reviews. My advice to anyone is to avoid this company and save your money

I ordered a novus Hip flask made by them, they refused any kind of help because i bought the flask elsewhere. The flask has two holes in the cap, leather case is scratched, plastic funel they give with the 90pound flask was broken.
I think for almost 100 euros you can expect no holes, no scratched case, and NO plastic funel

My wife bought me a glass with a skull on it for my birthday and I absolutly loved it. To cut a long story short, the skull and crossbones fell off quite soon after owning it (it had only been handwashed). My wife contacted the English Pewter Company and they didn't seem interested, just a cursory "well just glue it back on". Well quite true, but if they had made sure it was secured properly in the first place, you wouldn't have to glue it back on yourself. The pewter ring at the bottom of the glass is also glued on with epoxy and over the past year and a bit, you can see where some of the clear epoxy has turned cloudy as it is exposed to water.

All in all, it just feels like shoddy and slap dash workmanship. It's not what you'd expect from a company that prides themselves on quality. Add to this that thier attitude leaves a lot to be desired. My wife was quite taken aback by their response to her email, clearly the EPC don't take customer satisfaction or service seriously.

Shoddy! Ordered personalised gin glass. The pewter stamp in not on straight and there is glue visible all over the glass! Terrible

Absolutely abysmal service.

Paid for a next day delivery and ordered a generic 1980 tumbler on the Monday morning as was promised delivery for a close friend's 40th birthday. ("as long as you order before 1pm" was the sales pitch). I debated getting it engraved but was wary of time frames so just kept to the generic option.

Anyhow, on his birthday on the Wednesday I had no communication to say there would be a delay and after chasing the order for an update, was then informed UPS had missed the pick up on Tuesday and the product was now just sitting in the factory and would not be collected until Wednesday for a delivery on the Thursday, the day after his birthday.

Disappointed and embarrassed is an understatement.

Was refunded for the delivery (as expected), but offered nothing to come back to try them again for a better experience (but I did get a sorry!!!).

Now that is what you call good customer service!!!

Won't be using this company again.

Excellent service from English Pewter Company. I purchased 2 stags head whisky tumblers from them, one had a slight problem with it and they changed it out with no quibbles what so ever and free postage. Very professional and the product is excellent. They are also excellent value for money.

I Bought a hip flask with a stamped design on the front for a fathers day present it arrived promptly but was faulty as part of the pattern on the front was missing so I received a returns form and sent the faulty flask back and a few days later received a second faulty hip flask with the same issue! I again contacted the english pewter company who were apologetic and blamed it on a stamping issue and they were going to change the old stamp for a new one and this inturn meant I wouldn't have a fathers day gift in time for fathers day lucky I managed to get a hip flask from another company who sent it on a next day delivery at no extra cost. I sent the second flask back and waited for a 3rd one which I would now keep for myself and when it arrived, guess what, yes another faulty flask with parts of the design missing!! I did ask for a partial refund which I received straight away but the communication stopped with no further apologies. Dont waist your time ordering from The english pewter company they supply substandard products that dont reflect what they show/ advertise on the website and with zero quality control, very poor.

I bought a lovely Whiskey Glass from EPC in May 2019 for my son's 18 - by the time we were about to celebrate his 19th - the base had detached from the glass (we had looked after it as per care instructions).
Contacted EPC and send them the photos. They offered to repair so we sent it may about a month ago.
Contacted EPC this week as we had not heard anything back and they had not received the package. WITHOUT hesitation - they didn't send me on a wild goose chase around the post office (which I know are working hard right now) but IMMEDIATELY - no quibbles offered to send me a replacement.
FANTASTIC CUSTOMER SERVICE - what more could you ask for.
