Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Most reviewers were somewhat happy with their experience overall. Many customers found that certain products, like the Garden Guardian and snake repellers, were effective in addressing their pest issues, with some noting the chemical-free aspect as a significant benefit. Some also appreciated the ease of installation and the robust nature of certain items, such as the tree net and lanolin lubricant. However, some people were dissatisfied with the product quality, citing issues like items breaking quickly, not working as advertised, or having manufacturing defects. There were also complaints about products being noisy or ineffective for their intended purpose, such as the possum repeller. A few other people also felt that there were issues with warranty claims and that customer service was unhelpful when issues arose.

I Enquired before purchase about one for possums. Yep all gd they said, but, never told me the alarm is Really Noisy ALL THE TIME,up in the roof! Drives you nuts. Car alarm almost. So after a few weeks but b4 the 30 day full refund. BUT states you can only return it unused and new condition..my question ..how do you know it works if cant use incase it not good and need to return. I had to pay shipping both ways... sent it back and sent them the tracking number and had to chase them down repetively for answers this last month. Emails and ph messages.. not very professional. Useless gadget for possums unless they miles from your house and for us to not hear the thing. Over all, I hate to say but the item is not very good, the service is slack, will not be a returning customer wasting my money at $24 shipping ($12 each way) .not happy. Misleading info . And im STILL waiting on my refund and apparently that takes 10 days..really? I been waiting weeks.! Their excuse was it had no info on it when sent back..ummm that's what tracking numbers are for and thout thats why I was asked to send photo of tracking number to them....so should be able to match that to my return surly? Just excuses or poorly trained staff.

Poor product quality

Purchased the Garden Sentinel motion activated sprinkler. The battery cover was loose out of the box and frequently fell out. After being setup and operating for approximately an hour, it fell over from a small height onto grass. This was enough to disconnect one of battery connection wires from the sprinkler.

Contacted Envirobug but they refused to cover the product under warranty despite a 30 day satisfaction guarantee. They offered a small discount to purchase a new unit, but I'd never purchase from them again.

Underdeliver !!

I purchased a set of solar units and within weeks began having problems. I contacted support and was guided through a checklist focused on moisture inside the units. The support agent was thorough, checked for the red moisture-indicator dots just inside the rims, and asked me to reassemble the two components after inspection.

Ongoing faults and repeated fixes

As soon as I refitted the units they started vibrating. Over the following months they continued to stall. I kept pulling the two components apart and reassembling them; I have lost count of how many times I’ve had to do this. I reached the point of wanting to discard the units and discovered on the website that the company now sells fully battery‑operated versions, so I emailed support again to explain the ongoing issue and my intent to purchase the non‑solar units.

Frustration with support process

Support replied by insisting I complete another checklist, despite the detailed history I had already provided and all the corrective actions I had repeatedly taken since my first contact. I explained that I have particular challenges following checklists and protocols and that I preferred a phone call. They refused and insisted on the checklist, which I was not able to complete.

When I first contacted support, I was told a replacement would be offered if the units were compromised. That promise was not honoured. In my email I stated I would be buying the non‑solar D‑cell battery units without any request for a discount and that if those failed in the same way I would discard them as well.

Product quality concerns

The product instructions state that Lenox be prayed inside the units to extend the life of the repellers. In my case there was absolutely no moisture present in my solar units, however, the units clearly show silicon added into the gaps as an attempt to seal them so I’m going to assume the design was flawed and the silicon was messy and unprofessional, best described as “an afterthought”!

Accessibility and neuro‑inclusion issues

I disclosed that I am autistic and described how the support interaction was difficult for me. I provided Alex with practical suggestions for improving the business’s neuro‑inclusive skills and recommended professional development in that area. I did not receive genuine empathy or an apparent willingness to adapt communication to my needs but a generic response consumers see often!!!!

If these new units are as much of a fail as the solar I will proceed with disposing of them and consider this matter closed from my end.

Way below par and poor standards of business!

I’m already chuckling at the genetic response I get to this review, very predictable!!

Do not buy from this company

I bought the Enviro bug Mega Fly and insect trap, commercial grade thinking if it is good for restaurants, it would be great for home use. What a waste of $197.00 (on special, supposedly). Unfortunately, I only saw reviews from their own site, my mistake!!
I really only wanted it for the flies in the kitchen, have not had one caught yet, the only thing on the trap is insects. Very disappointed. I tried to contact them to no avail.

We had an aggressive tiger snake in our henhouse. The envirobugs made no difference. Also, when I asked for a refund, I was asked to return them in unused condition. This is impossible as they were outside in the chook yard wedged into the soil. So the guarantee is misleading to say the least. A pity. We tried. They were expensive. They were not well made, with glue inside making it impossible to put batteries in: my husband had to free the bore of glue before putting in expensive batteries. It was altogether an expensive and misleading experience. Customer service was unhelpful.
Since I wrote this review the customer service has been more responsive and they have offered me a store credit. I am not wanting anything but at least it’s a step in the right direction.

Do not buy from Envirobug

Don’t honour warranty and non existent customer service. Have just threatened legal action and in the process of lodging complaint with ACCC. Their snake deterrent is complete rubbish of very poor quality.

Don’t buy from envirobug

This is a scam. Don’t buy anything from them! They start by claiming they’ll replace the item for you but then nothing happens. After that they say they’ve troubleshooted and found no issues but still don’t have the product. They even go as far as using an Australian voice on their phone recording to make it seem more legitimate. This has really made me hesitant to purchase anything on line. It’s unfortunate for the honest businesses that are trying to succeed when there are scammers like this out there.

Customer Service...beyond dreadful

Second worst company I have ever dealt with due to their outstandingly unhelpful Customer Service. Their Voicemail 'promises' a call back that never happens. My email requests either remained unanswered or did not address the inquiry being made. I returned the product unused as, despite repeated requests, they would not provide clear written instructions needed for disabling the 'sonic buzzer'. They did not respond to voicemail nor email asking for their Returns process, so I sent the item back Reg Post to their website address. The same day that I received a refund I received an email saying they needed more information before they could process a refund. I found them to be truly unhelpful once the purchase had been completed.

All bar one stopped working after a couple of weeks outside the expiry date. I asked for a refund and they sent a long winded instruction booklet on how to test them by pulling them apart and testing the 11 faulty ones with the one that worked. Did that and still 11 out of 12 didn't work. Don't but them

recently purchased mosquito and bug…

recently purchased mosquito and bug prevention plugs from this company and had a truly disappointing experience with both the product and their customer service. Based on the website’s advice, I bought 5 plugs for $130, as my apartment was deemed “slightly larger than average.”

The Product
• Upon arrival, I found the plugs to be clunky and bulky.
• They occupy an entire power point, and since my apartment has limited power points, I could only use two of the five plugs.
• The product requires power points to be at a specific height, which is impractical in most apartments.
• Most importantly, the plugs did not work. Mosquitos and bugs continued to enter my apartment just as they had before.

The Return Process

The company advertises a 30-day return guarantee, so I emailed them detailing my experience and requesting instructions for a return. Unfortunately, this is where things went from bad to worse:
• Their initial response was a generic email stating that returns are only accepted for unused items.
• I replied, explaining that I had to use the plugs to discover they were ineffective.
• Since then, I’ve received over 10 identical, generic emails with no resolution.

Customer Service

Their customer service is absolutely shocking:
• No human engagement—just automated responses.
• No one answers the phone when you call.
• They make no effort to resolve the issue or stand by their product guarantee.

Conclusion

The product itself is a failure, but the customer service experience is even worse. It’s clear this company is only interested in making a profit and has no intention of providing real customer support. I strongly advise against purchasing from them.

Save your money, your time, and your frustration. This experience felt like a scam, and I’m writing this review to warn others.

Outdoor heavy duty mozzie trap is waste of good money. Company does not honour 30 day satisfaction guarantee.

Outdoor heavy duty mozzie trap is ineffective, and an expensive waste of money. It also attracts moths and beetles, which clog and stop the fan, allowing any mosquitos captured to fly out, yet leaving larger insects to slowly die. Their “30 day satisfaction guarantee” is also a scam. If not returned in original packaging and perfect condition they will not refund.

It's a scam

It's a scam. The fly traps don't work they only catch moths. In fact, they attract them, so you have a billion more. It is advertised as a fly trap which is misleading. No customer service contact if you have a complaint.

It’s a scam

It’s a scam. Dont buy anything. I bought snake deterrents. They didn’t work. They were not waterproof and when I sent them back they said they don’t warranty faulty waterproofing. Hang on. Snakes don’t live indoors. They are outdoors. Thank me later. It’s a scam.

Envirobug - Don't use this company

Do not buy products from this company. My snake repellers only worked for a couple of months and when I reached out to Envirobug for a replacement I was told "we cannot help you"! They don't honour their 12 month product warranty or answer their phones or return phone calls. Very unprofessional and disappointing for an Australian company
