Unsafe Sampling Practices & Inaccurate Reporting

ENV Surveys were hired to conduct an asbestos survey in my flat, and I was extremely disappointed. The surveyor arrived without proper protective equipment—no gloves, mask, or shoe covers—which is a clear violation of established safety protocols. Worse still, after scraping the surface, she used her bare fingers to dip into a tub of paint and cover the sampled areas, a method that was both unprofessional and completely inadequate for preventing contamination.

Furthermore, the report failed to accurately address visible risks. While it claims the textured coating is “in good condition,” it ignores the fact that the flaking paint applied over it poses a serious hazard. The surveyor herself acknowledged, in person, that the peeling area required professional repair—but this crucial information was omitted from the report. This inconsistency, combined with the unsafe sampling methods, raises major concerns about the company’s reliability and commitment to health and safety.

I would strongly advise others seeking an asbestos survey to consider alternative providers who adhere to proper safety standards and conduct thorough, accurate assessments.
