Look at all those reviews

JUST 3 YEARS OLD and EO BRICKED MY MINI PRO 2!** They’re RIPPING OUT every smart feature I PAID FOR because they’re too LAZY to support their own damn product. Absolute betrayal! Their customer service is UTTER GARBAGE. **DO NOT BUY FROM THESE SCAMMERS.** They’ll take your money and ABANDON YOU.

AVOID EO!!!

Absolutely shocking product and service. Multiple issues requiring call out of engineer to fix/replace parts over the first 2-3 years. Then they decide to drop all smart functionality which was critical for my purchase decision. No compensation, no replacement or upgrade path options.

AVOID - discontinuing products rendering them useless

Purchased a smart charger with extra paid solar option dec 2020 and it’s now been discontinued, so effectively will have to replace after only a few years use. Others are in the same position after just a couple years.
Install was also faulty from EO and took 4 visits over 2 years to correct.
AVOID

Won’t use EO again

Won’t use EO again. The app was never improved and was woefully inadequate. I purchased a smart charger as recommended by Octopus Energy for my EV as I had solar - could make use of the excess electrons. Now EO have pulled the app and removed the ability for smart charging. Unacceptable.

They Lied to save a few quid!

Consistently poor customer service over the 4 years I have used one of their chargers. Support tickets require multiple chasers. Decision from 7th July to disable all smart features due to 'regulations' except the regulations they quote dont apply to units sold before June 2022, so they have lied. They are using a false regulatory requirement to mask a commercial decision to turn off environmentally aligned smart features, to save themselves a few quid. It will backfire, as those customers will never trust of buy from EO ever again. AVOID THIS COMPANY at all costs. You will regret it in the long run.

EO's withdrawal of Mini Pro 2 App Support is beyond the pale

EO's behaviour towards its customers is simply unacceptable.
They sent me an email recently to say that from Nov 30th 2025 they will no longer support their EV charging product, the Mini Pro 2, via the App. This means that I will no longer be able to schedule charging, or lock the charger to prevent electricity theft, or use solar charging, or any other smart features such as downloading charging session history.
For a product installed just over 4 years ago this is totally not OK - I should be able to expect a service life of greater than 12 years.
They excuse their decision based on government regulation changes from 2022. However, those apply to sales of new product, not pre-existing installations - and in any case, as a product that can have software upgrades they should be able to upgrade it to meet the regulations, or enable local hosting of software to enable continued operation of the charger. EO are simply ignoring their obligation to provide a reasonable service lifetime for an expensive product. Their directors should be disqualified from running a company.
I contacted their chatline support, who basically indicated that they felt no obligation to any customer outside the 3 year warranty period. Absolutely disgusting.

Imposed Obsolescence

EO recently notified me that they plan on shutting down the app required to use scheduled and solar charging after less than 5 years. Considering the cost of having this charger installed and the fact that the hardware is perfectly functional, this is completely unacceptable. I now have zero trust in this brand.

Completely disgusted with this…

Completely disgusted with this organisation who have decided to stop providing software upgrades to the Ev mini Pro2 which effectively means they become defunct since they will not be able to communicated with EVs which continually upgrade their software. This has now happened to me and I can no longer charge using the EO charger. Having paid just under £1000 for the install, I now have to fork out another £526 to get a new charger. I cannot see how it is legal to purposefully make a product defunct and I will be bringing this up with the consumer association and I encourage all owners of these products to do the same.

Avoid! Please read the reviews below!

Please read the reviews below!

As others have written, EO is effectively discontinuing the EO Mini Pro 2 from Nov ‘25. Rather than offer anything constructive such as an incentivised upgrade or replacement, EO has chosen instead to hide behind a generic uninformative FAQ page, with equally useless Chat Bot.

Words fail.

EO Charging - Poor Customer Experience

Having been notified that our EO Mini Pro2 charger would no longer be supported by their smart services, we were asked to contact them about what steps we need to take next.
I was directed to a website, just a standard FAQ type page, the person on the end of the phone was not interested or equipped to answer my questions.
I am looking to replace the charger with an up to date one that is supported by smart services. I won't be using EO or their 'partner' contractor Crystal.
Just poor communication and poor customer service.

HORRENDOUS

Horrendous just been sent enail saying app will stop and basically any faults with it won't be repaired, (So matter of fact and we don't care attitude) I have had one stop working already which they replaced in first few months, so not expecting this one to last.
Not even offer to upgrade or offer discount, I am shocked at the lack of customer care ( why make something that has a life span of :approx 3 years for £1300)
Should have been able to put no stars

The company marketing EO Chargers…

The company marketing EO Chargers globally is pretty useless. The EO mini pro functions fine, but not without the smart home app that is globally discontinued for UK law reasons as stated in recent email. It seams there is a local UI available (which they claim is not the case), but I can get to the login page for this on my local network, but obviously need the allocated PW username for the device. It would be great to control it from Homeassistant or similar interface. The local retailer / installer company in New Zealand (Chargesmart is equally incompetent ).

Avoid EO. Awful company

I’ve just received an email from EO confirming they’re disabling all smart functionality on my home charger – effectively rendering it unusable in several key ways.

From November, anyone can walk up to an EO Mini Pro 2 and start charging, as it will no longer be lockable. That’s a serious security concern.

I only purchased my charger in March 2022 – so not even 3.5 years ago – and the money spent on the device and professional installation now feels completely wasted.

Worse still, they’re offering no compensation, no goodwill gesture, and not even a transition option to a supported device. If they’re willing to do this now, what’s to stop them from doing the same with future models? Avoid them.
