Overcharged by £220 on Christmas Eve!

EO Charging overcharged us £220 for a car charging session that didn't work, on Christmas Eve! And ignored our request for a refund. A month later and we are still following up the issue.

All the other reviews we see here are the same in that the company perpetually ignore their customers' requests for support.

Not only that, but we have had so many problems even getting the communal charger in our apartment block to work with our EV.

Please avoid at all costs.

Decent product / Terrible customer support

I'm afraid that I have to join the apparently growing list of dissatisfied customers. My Mini V2 was installed in Jul 2022 and worked well until last month, when it began to stop charging. Talking to the original installers indicated that there is a known fault and I should contact EO directly. There is no number to call them on and they haven't responded to escalations via their online Technical Support tool. Very disappointed...

AVOID EO Mini Pro 3

I had the EO Mini Pro 3 installed in September 2024. It has been one of the worst decisions I have made. I discussed the installation with an approved installer and decided to buy the GSM enabled unit as we knew the Wi Fi would not be reliable in that area. Despite ordering that unit the one delivered was not a GSM unit. That was replaced and the GSM unit installed, however, it still required wi fi? It was very inconsistent and has now stopped working as it cannot connect to the internet. I called Customer service, someone will you call you within five days, they didn't asked for the matter to be referred to a manager still no contact. In hindsight I should have viewed "trust pilot" before buying as this is common practice for EO to ignore customers complaints. My charger has now been out of service for a month. There only suggestion is to run an ethernet cable from my router to the charger a length of approx 35 yards ! Avoid.

This EO company is a scam and thier chargers are sub standard, very low quality, originally installed EO mini, it packed up after 18 months, they replaced it with the mini pro 2,this is always having problems,stops charging abruptly,can't connect to network,etc,
Customer service is absolutely shocking, still have queries from August that are not dealt with. Never again!

I think Zappi is the way to go.
I've now lost all interest in resolving my issues with eo on the basis that IF they were to be resolved it would be temporary and I'd be bashing my head again for another 14 weeks.
Sometimes one just needs to draw a line and cut one's losses.
Quite how they survive in the marketplace is a mystery!!

This company is a scam
eo mini pro 3 installed 7 months ago and it's now completely packed up, ten phone calls later I'm still waiting for any form of reply but they purposely ignore you until you eventually go away for good, zero customer support and there is no complaints team to speak to. I've since replaced the charger myself with a cheap Chinese one from ebay for £75 and its charging perfectly. DO NOT BUY AN EO CHARGER, you will regret it! I'm currently looking into logging a small claim in court to cover all my expenses, and trust me it won't be the first time I've taken a company to court an won!!!!!! Disgraceful company with zero support..

Probably a fire risk

Horrible product and zero customer support. Has malfunctioned from day 1. Trips out in The middle of the night most days. We are scared it will cause a house fire. Customer service unhelpful about their shoddy product and just tries to blame installer. After four years of neglect now basically telling us to get a new one…. Well you can be sure the new one won’t be from EO!

Sham of a company, terrible customer service

Sham of a company. Terrible customer service, only one point of contact and they do not ever act on calls or complaints. Had an issue for months, still not resolved, all I want to do is change my WiFi details! App is basic, charger is basic. Terrible ordeal on installation, had to have 3 chargers installed to get it working…..until it didn’t. Can’t afford to change so stuck with it. Would be bearable if I could change to the new wifi!

Very poor customer service

I had an EO Mini installed in 2020. Received an email stating the product was being abandoned in Jan 2024.

I emailed customer services, and after some time received a reply basically saying it will only work as a ‘dumb’ charger, they would install a new charger for me for £554, other than that they weren’t prepared to help.

I’m very displeased, if I wanted a ‘dumb’ charger I would have paid less and bought a dumb charger in the first place. I feel this company have not just abandoned the product but also abandoned the customers who bought their products in good faith.

Yet another saddened customer

Yet another saddened customer. Mine is an EO Mini Pro 1, bought back in 2019. It was smart.
It is now functioning as a dumb charger, as EO Charging have discontinued the software which was "EO App", then "Enel X Way", then "EO Charging" - except that no longer supports the Pro 1 at all.
I'm now waiting for it to stop working the next time I have a power cut.
Judging by the time I've wasted on EO over the last five years, I think I will abandon them, in favour of replacing the Mini with a charger that comes with sensible software.
I'll also be having a chat with Citizens Advice, as EO told me "Your charger is out of warranty in that case and discontinued". I was sold a "smart" charger - they have changed it to a "dumb" device.

EO Chargers... Advise to avoid...

Got EO Charger as part of new Kia Car free charger offer in Ireland. Problems charging since the start and got progressively worse. App no good for addressing. Customer service polite on phone but after a many discussions nothing sorted. Lucky that Kia Ireland and local installer in good faith replaced with new non EO charger. Not in my nature to leave negative reviews but must advise people to steer well clear of EO chargers.

No response from customer service

Have rung the customer service desk every week for 4 weeks. Always speak to a very polite person, who takes/retakes my details - and then no-one calls or does anything. Chatbot is useless, no response on facebook. Seems like they don't want to talk to anyone with a problem.

Do not trust EO charging!!

I moved house in October 24 and the house I bought had a ln EO mini pro 2 charger. The charger is just 2 years old. When I tried to set up the timing facility to avail of discounted night electricity rates I was unable to gain access due to the fact that it is only programable over the air by WiiFi. I repeatedly rang and emailed EO support, who strung me along for 4 weeks, very poor for responding! Eventually out of frustration I escalated the issue to the CEO and customer service manager they washed there hands of it and eventually conceded the software is no longer supported on this device and they would not offer a repair, only an expensive upsell!! Do not buy from this company they will not support their equipment and their customer service is virtually non existent!! It would be zero stars if it was an option!!

i am trying to chat with this people keeps saying stay with the same chat then kicks me out????
finally managed to speak to Olivia Allan.
i got charged for one hour charging. however within the first minutes charging stopped and i got in touch with Olivia. she said you are not charged for the electric but been charged for the parking????
i have been working at this place for 19 years and the parking has always been free.
paid for electric and didn't get it. thanks for robbing me as the government is not robbing us already.

Lack of response from technical team

This is the second time this year that my EO Mini Pro 2 charger has ceased to function. After a protracted resolution last time, I have been awaiting contact from the EO technical team for over three weeks.

On November 19, 2024, I raised my issue with the customer service team, who informed me that a technical representative would contact me within five business days. Despite the passage of 18 business days and four subsequent inquiries to the customer service team, I have yet to receive any communication from this team. Regrettably, the customer service team is not permitted to transfer my call to the technical team, although they have indicated that a note will be placed against my case number.
Firstly, is it too much to ask to speak directly to the technical team? All they are likely to do is arrange an engineer’s appointment, which could have been scheduled 1-2 weeks ago.
Is this the right level of aftercare support for home charging customers or perhaps EO priority is with their commercial customers?

Unable to supply a replacement ev…

Unable to supply a replacement ev charger as faulty after a month of complaint. Component issues apparently! Told hive service this but not myself. Been waiting 4 weeks for a replacement charger! £800 out of pocket and still nothing resolved despite endless e mails and calls. Neither hive or EO will take responsibility!

After Sales Technical Support 1 star

EO Charging Technical support have no idea about their own product and just palm you off to Crystal electronics. Because it is out of warranty they don't want to know. The issue I have is that the history on the App of my charging shows continuous on and off connections with 0.0 KWH. Not a difficult question seeing it is their App, however I was told that they could not help me and need to speak with this third party company. Avoid this company
