Great week in a good value 5 star hotel. All staff were spot on especially Mario and Delia in the entertainment team. Plenty of food and drink choices, bar is 24hr not quite on the food but not an issue, even a filled fridge of soft drinks which was replenished daily. Overall very happy.
Possibly the worst hotel I have ever been to in Turkey. The customer service is awful, the food is so below standard and the hygiene of the chefs is just appalling. The pools were nice, but a little overcrowded, the beach was covered in large ants. The premium drink options were non existent, no ice lollies for the kids only cheap rubbish ice creams. Kids pool ran out of bottled water by lunchtime and staff answer was you will just need to go find another bar to get some. Taxi wait to go into town can be over an hour. Honestly wouldn’t recommend this hotel one bit. The only positive is the English guest relation lady, she was nice but also insinuated the hotel has struggled to keep staff. Oh and god forbid you need to take the lift, they take an age and every Turkish and Russian guest will just push straight in front of you.
Usual automated reply will follow from hotel, or a copy and paste effort as they really don’t give a flying duck !!
We recently returned from a week at this hotel. We got this as a last minute deal so the price was very good. Our room was 328 on the corner with lovely views over the sea. We were close to the Sky Bar where Iive music was played however when the doors were closed you could hardly hear it and it was only till 12 so not a major issue for us. The hotel is extremely clean the lady who cleaned our room was lovely. There are a couple of places to have lunch outside more casual or in the main hotel both venues have a wide variety of food. Breakfast and dinner was served in the main hotel and food was plentiful with tons to choose from. There is a cake and drinks place in the main foyer which is lovely There is a bar in the main foyer that supplies name branded alcohol The sky bar opens 6pm and again served named brand alcohol My husband a whisky drinker was served Johnny Walker red label in both bars as part of our all all inclusive. The bar outside served local branded alcohol. But there is another one opposite that also serves named branded alcohol. Bottled Water is freely available in the fridge near the outside bar, in the dining room. Plus in the mini fridge along with small juices coke and Fanta all free. They also leave large bottles of water on the dresser in the room for tea and coffee (supplied) again along with a little kettle in the room. There are a 3 swimming pools 1 more family orientated 1 an over 16 years pool (the relax pool) an indoor pool A mini aqua park for children as well a one for adults. Wi-Fi is free in all the rooms foyer at the pools all over. There are also a la carte restaurants that you are able to book (once) as part of the all inclusive we didn’t book this so can’t comment. There are plenty sun beds on the beach and massive shade areas. There was a lot of weed washed up on the beach but the beach was cleared early every morning by tractor. All in all great value for money.
Now for the negatives
Tons of smokers at the hotel non smoking indoors) if would be nice to have designated non smoking areas outside as not pleasant to have to inhale smoke while trying to eat there is a non smoking area at the outdoor lunch place but it’s not policed and smokers sit anywhere. Maybe more signage and control would be good
The relax pool is over 16 only - no glasses - a quiet relaxing area Sadly again not policed enough on a couple of occasions life guards did ask people who arrived with children to leave However glasses at a pool is a massive no no and could be more controlled the same goes for people shouting at each other across the pool This pool is signposted as a quiet area it really needs to be policed better as it’s a lovely quiet space and is most of the time relaxing.
Lastly you have to be out the room at 12 or pay Euro60 to keep the room till 4:30
The WI-FI is switched off the minute you hand over your room key It would have been nice if the WI-FI was available till you are fetched by the bus as in our case our flight was delayed twice. You’re allowed to eat and drink till you leave so can’t really see why they are so strict with the WI-FI.
All and all I good experience
We stayed here with all inclusive package & loved everything about this hotel. The hotel is so clean & tidy we never seen such spotless hotel before. Staff was so respectful of all the guests and always going extra mile to help. Our room was so nicely equiped and was cleaned everyday & change of towels everyday. It was most memorable holiday all thanks to this lovely hotel
I’ve just returned from an unforgettable holiday at Palm Wings.
I was nervous at the start of my trip due to the fact I was a single traveller with my Daughter who has additional needs.
All the staff were amazing and worked very hard to accommodate us the grounds and hotel were impeccable.
I need to give special thanks to Kelly (Guest Relations) and Martin who works on the water sports, they both went above and beyond to ensure my Daughter and I had the best possible experience, there really are no words I can say other than thank you, you both made us feel so welcome and relaxed.
I can’t wait to return, we will see you very soon!!
Almost perfect in every way.
Visited this establishment with my son when it was called Surmeli and not a lot has altered thankfully.
Did miss the daily barbecues at lunchtime and in the evening as well as the tent for Hubba bubba pipes and Turkish coffee.
The long stretch of beach remains sensational, with staff constantly clearing the washed up woodchips.
The gardens are beautifully kept with the staff loving their job.
All the staff at the hotel are incredibly good - friendly, efficient and professional. Too many excellent ones to list in case I forget to praise one of them. That really makes a huge difference having such welcoming staff throughout our stay in each and every area.
Modern and well equipped room offered a wondrous view, seaview with large balcony. Bed not the most comfortable though! Always cleaned beautifully.
Drinks were delightful, although did miss my favourite tipples of Campari and Vermouth, with Malibu, Bailey's and top quality range of whisky.
Turkish coffee and fresh coffee served at the patisserie along with a plethora of delicious cakes.
Food was a little hit and miss at lunch and in the evening, although not even the fussiest person could starve. The biggest problem was that the meals became repetitive.
So many different goats cheeses to choose from, plenty of salads and an amazing array of puddings.
Snacks during the day were very good, lots of freshly prepared food to suit all palates.
A good find was the Sunset Bar, with was never busy, and well manned.
The lobby bar was 24 hours and provided an exceptional set of attentive and helpful staff who loved their jobs. Furniture in the lobby bar was beautifully sumptuous, as was the lobby itself.
Loved my stay and thoroughly recommend the hotel although the entertainment team were hopeless and rarely seen except at two meal times when they paraded around yelling "showtime" as though the guests were infants.
Strongly considering a return next year as believe the luxury ambience and overall experience is well worth regular returns to this well-run hotel.
