I am upset because this parking situation isn't good. I can't never go out anywhere because I have to stay home to reserve my parking ! It's better when you assign a number to each apartment like another communities

Nice location and apartment and courteous staff. However, long-term tenants are not given special rates which is disappointing. Having pets on leash rule is not sufficiently enforced on property.

This is a well run apartment community. The staff is friendly and helpful. Access to the 405 is unparalleled. It may feel like it takes forever to get out of the underground parking level 2, but it's only actually a minute and half. From there, it's unfettered access to the highway; practically an extension of the garage. I'm not happy about the guest parking situation, either, but it isn't a big bother for me. Plus, I've lived in Manhattan so I've experienced worse. The appliances are great, and the counters, kitchen backsplash and cabinets are both stylish and durable. The basics are modern, sleek and industrial looking, but my leasing agent said they're fine with drilling anything in the walls (I'm sure it comes out of the deposit). So, you can create the decor and feel you like. The rental amounts are, in part, a function of the desirability of each unit's location relative to pool, noisy highway, etc. If you like to keep your windows open, you probably don't want a street facing unit, or you'll be dusting more often. The laminate floors make it a breeze, though. I saw 2 roaches in the underground parking lot, but none in or anywhere near my apartment. The salt pool, Jacuzzi, and outdoor fireplaces are really nice. My friend described this area as having a lot of young hipsters. I did see another middle-aged business person on the elevator (though in 2 months, that's not a lot). Since the apartment complex is next to Pepperdine University, that probably contributes to the high number of young people. Everyone is pleasant and friendly. This is a pretty cool place to live.

Staff is super friendly, the apartment is really nice, so are the amenities.
But last month, we have been charged twice for the rent. We let the staff know and nobody replied to us for a week. Then, despite several emails we sent, we were not able to receive a prompt reply nor answer.

Friendly staff and great amenities are extra. Reply to your tenants when there is an issue with their payment is a must. I'm very disappointed with that experience and I hope it won't happen again.

I love portofino apartments. The only thing i dont like and you should improve is the rent increases every year. I been her 2 years and this year i have to move even if i love this apartment because las year it increase 200 this year it probably will too and my apartment is not even renovated, is very old from inside and i am still paying like if i had a nice and renovated one. Doesnt make sense. That is why people move every year from here because of the ridiculous rent increases, i understand 50 or 100 dollars but 200 is crazy!! Stop doing this! And it would of been nice for you to do an inhouse renovation for me instead of just changing, but no they didnt want to

Dog poop not picked up continues to be an issue near my unit. Also dog urination on the grass outside my unit is killing the grass - I do not have a dog and wish these owners would kill the grass infront of their units not mine.

I've been renting from Equity since 2011 and have no reservations about them. The people in Maintenance have always been very receptive as has the leasing team. The upkeep of the property is good and well kept.

Wood Creek living has a wonderful outdoor, woodsy retreat feeling quietly nestled in an urban community.

Overall Good.

The actual apartment is nice and spacious, the community is quiet and friendly, and the staff is courteous and professional. My issue is with the price increases in rent from year to year. They are well above the county average and make absolutely no sense. Seems like the apartment only wants one year residents.

Olivia has been great from the day we moved in here, 5 years ago. The individuals who both work on things in your unit if broke or something, have always been really nice, not phony at all. The guys who do all the landscaping are always nice, its kept up good. I sort of stress nice in people because that is not always easy to find. I'm honestly amazed even with some personnel changes over 5 years in the office and grounds, someone always make sure the individuals are Real!! We have to move to find a bigger place, but I know it will be difficult to expect these kind of folks everywhere.

The maintenance staff is particularly impressive, always excellent service. Love that they allow pets, and really enjoy the beauty of the complex.

Overall, my living experience at Watertown Square Apartments is good. I really like the location and the apartments are nice, but a bit dated. We ended up changing out our old mercury thermostat for a more economical and accurate updated digital thermostat with programmable settings - at our own expense. There are high ceilings with crown molding which is a nice touch. The appliances are stainless, like advertised, but the very base models. I do like the granite countertops, and I don't even mind the aluminum sink, but I wish was the sink set under the countertop for a more modern look and easier cleaning. The apartments are quite spacious, especially compared to other buildings nearby. The upkeep of the common areas has slipped in the last few years. There has been an excellent cleaning person, but the floors have bubbled and warped, the hallway carpets were stained for over a year, but just recently cleaned finally, and there is visible wear and tear and unfinished repairs. The exercise room is a plus! It's nice to be able to work out without going out to a gym. Also the cafe is a nice feature as a place to study, use computers or reserve for private functions. The movie room looks nice, but they can't seem to regulate the temperature in there and it gets uncomfortably hot. I like the underground parking, especially when the weather is bad. Lately there seem to be problems and delays with getting work orders responded to. On the last couple of work order requests, I have had to submit twice to get a response and it is not timely. The last one was submitted over two weeks ago and is still not completed. I've been told they are understaffed. In the management office, there has been a lot of turnover. I have been here just under three years and there have been 3 community managers, and 4 leasing consultants, although the current community manager has been here a little over a year. He is very nice and helpful if you take the initiative to approach him or if you ask for something, but he does not always seem to be interested in making any kind of relationship with the residents. He sits in his office with the shades drawn, which is unlike previous managers who interacted more with residents. And, beware! Your rent may start low as mine did, but will jump up considerably each year, with other added increases like increases from your initial quote for parking and such.
