Wow !
After a cowboy builder ruined my bathroom and took my money , he ignored a court order and CCJ and I contacted Equivo after a friend recommended .
They have been BRILLIANT !
It was an arduous task , as the builder evaded communications and was aggressive at times , but the officer, Mr Potter , persisted with multiple visits and used lawful and professional methods to ensure the builder eventually paid my money back !
Alison and Equivo , can’t come too HIGHLY recommended , very professional company who definitely know what they are doing !

From the initial point of contact, I have received outstanding service, with my emails being answered within a matter of hours. The process was explained clearly and Equivo executed the procedure with precision and efficiency.

Absolutely terrible experience with Equivo. They charge money but do not do their job properly. They claimed their debt collector couldn’t locate the flat above the shop, even though there are normal stairs at the back. I had to send them Google Maps photos to prove it. Instead of admitting their failure, they were rude and defensive. It seems they just take money and never actually recover debts. Complete waste of time and money. I strongly do not recommend this company. Eric

I used Equivo bailiffs to get my money back on a car I purchased.
They were awfully slow with information and I had to keep badgering them for the information. No communication for months on end.
They assessed that they would take cars from the garage that owed me £4500 plus court costs.
IN THEIR BRILLIANCE THEY DECIDED TO TAKE 2 CARS FROM THE OWNER OF THE GARAGE WHICH WERE OVER VALUED AT £10,490.
IT TOOK MONTHS TO HEAR ANYTHING BECAUSE THEY COULDN'T UNDERSTAND THAT A CAR ON A FORECOURT WAS'NT GOING TO SELL AT AUCTION FOR THE FORECOURT PRICE AND KEPT PUTTING THE CARS BACK THROUGH THE AUCTION DUE TO ONE OF THE CARS NOT STARTING. ONE OF THE CARS FETCHED £1734 AFTER AUCTION FEES ETC AND THE OTHER HAD A RESERVE OF £1275
IN THE END THEY EMAILED ME SAYING THAT I WOULDN'T GET MY MONEY BACK ON THOSE CARS BECAUSE THE AUCTION WAS DISAPPOINTING !!!
THEY THEN EMAILED ME ASKING IF I HAD A HOME ADDRESS FOR THE GARAGE OWNER BECAUSE BY THE TIME ALL THIS WAS SORTED THE GARAGE OWNER HAD SURPRISINGLY SHUT UP SHOP AND CLOSED. I MYSELF WOULD OF THOUGHT THAT THE BAILIFF WOULD HAVE ASKED FOR THIS INFORMATION WHILST HE/SHE WAS AT THE GARAGE ADDRESS WITH THE OWNER.
EQUIVO THEN SENT ME AN EMAIL SAYING THAT THEY WERE GOING TO CLOSE AND RETURN THE CASE BECAUSE THERE WASN'T ANYTHING ELSE THEY COULD DO.
I RECEIVED WAY WAY LESS THAN THE CLAIM. NOT EVEN HALF.
ABSOLUTELY AWFUL COMPANY AND I WOULDN'T TRUST THEM AT ALL.

My experience with Equivo was excellent fron start to finish. Total communication throughout the process, they sorted everything for a very reasonable price and got back all my money in the process. Wonderful company of professional people.

Amazing debt collectors! Fast, efficient and they walked me through every step of the collection process with great communication. There are some costs upfront but everything is paid back to you once they find your debtor.

A corrupt wedding dress shop (Brides and Bells Font Hill) promised me a fitting, and deadline date for my dress, but after payment - I was ghosted. All calls and texts were ignored and i was even threatened when I tried to challenge such poor customer service in person. I filled a small claims lawsuit against the owner and Equivo helped enforce the judgment.

Alison, Lucy and Divisha in particular were lovely! They quickly got on my case, escalated it from county court to high court, and obtained a writ of control on my behalf. Shortly after, debt collection officers made contact with the defendant and were able to organise a payment plan.

After a wedding dress horror story, I’m finally able to get back all of my money plus interest! Thanks to this brilliant company. Would recommend to anyone!

We are a small recruitment business and we turned to Equivo to help us when we had exhausted all other means of collecting almost £20k in debts for services we had provided to a very high standard. The client was solvent, but simply refused to engage with us ignoring our calls, emails and even a CCJ.
