Nice bike and it came with all of the manufacturer’s manuals. Bike was in very good condition but the rear derailleur cage was bent. Communications were excellent. Somehow the “new” bike showed 135... See more

I purchased a Raleigh bike from Eric’s 10 months ago. The derailer broke last week. I contacted customer service and they said they did not cover that. I certainly expect the parts on my bike to last more than 10 months. They offered no helpful suggestions.

No customer service, support is terrible.
I bought 2 bikes. When I did second purchase my order was canceled without any reasons and after some days my money was returned, I was surprised and next I did order again and i didn't see any message about issues, everything was ok. And after that system charged me again. So I was charged twice. Such actions made my balance on the card negative and I feel dissatisfied with everything that is happening. Yes, I understand that I am a customer and this is my problem. Nice :) But I did hundreds purchases in web stores and it's a first time I have such issues with payments. The worth things it's no apologies from customers service for the inconvenience and no convincing that I should stay with their store. I planning to buy 2 more bikes for my family but no more deals with this store.

Why does Erik’s have such poor customer service!!! Why… poor employee training !!!! my recent experience .. brought my gal friend Erik’s in Bursnville. Mn to test drive any buy new Aventon Level 2 e-bike the store was little busy but.. but not overcrowded .. no one from Eric’s introduced us as we entered the store or ask if we needed help .. so after waiting about 10 minutes .. I pulled the bike from the rack myself and investigate the bike features..she likes the bike so I finally pull some one over to help with test ride .. I will call him salesdude 1.. I ask is changed for test ride .. he said yes.. and pushed to the door., put on kickstand .. had us sign the wavier and left us.. we’ll …where are the test helmets for to us? how do turn on the e-bike?. how do use the different e modes?… nothing he went back behind the desk and started to play with his phone… wow I thought this guy certainly did not want to make sale… I finally walk over and asked if could help us understand the bike.. the bike is actually very nice.. well made .. my gal liked .. ok lest purchase right… wrong !! We bring the bike back to the counter .., no sale dude no1 around to help us with the sale or questions .. but saledude no.2 was Behind the counter .. we would like to purchase .. asked him the price .. any discounts .. he said know price was $1800.00 I though listed on line retail on Erik’s website is $1799.99… I though $1.00 no big deal .. not a deal breaker … but saledude no.2 did not even know the correct price.. come on .. any discounts going .. none he said .. Next what type warranty comes with the bike.. saledude no.2 was clueless .. said Erik’s won’t cover the warranty for this bike .. you have to pay extra for the Erik’s warranty package .. ok what does the manufacture coverage for warranty .. unknown .. salesdude no. 2 did not know what the manufactures warranty was ? …for an expensive bike they sell in their store… wow..lots of confidence with these folks.. next .. asked since they would not discount the retain price any .. will they throw in a new bike helmet for my gal .. salesdude no.2 said yup .. can do .. needs to check with manger .. manger comes out with sales dude no2. .. says ..no can do on the helmet rather bluntly .. well ok if that if they can’t even throw in a helmet .for a $1800.00 sale and lots of potential service work down the road ... and I was ready to pay full retain .. I though these folks have not really provided and decent customer service .. so I pulled the plug on the sale .. 3 days later .. funny … Erik’s has a e bike sale .. $100.00 off for the same bike .. I guys I can save the $100.00 now put towards a new helmet … but do I even want deal with Erik’s again

Horrible customer service. i purchased a bike online and when it was delivered there was missing parts and broken pieces so i had to bring it to a professional to assemble the bike and fix it. Erik's refunded the missing parts but not the labor.
Their customer service is really bad.
Don't buy your bike with them.
I will never order from them again.

This company is a total fraud. They charged me $100 for a box. Beware of this shady company. I will NEVER to business with them again. Free refunds on Amazon and other retailers. Erik's on the other hand makes you pay for your returns and then charges you 35% restocking fee. Scam company!

Do not purchase from this place. Horrible customer service after a mistake made on their end! I bought a complete set up of skis from them, got a great deal on brand new stuff I will admit that but one of their reps built a cart out for me with bindings, skis, and poles. I had mentioned to him I was buying a complete setup. After receiving the products and taking them to my local shop to have the bindings mounted, I found that the bindings they sent me were the incorrect size brakes. I reached out for support, the only option I was given was to purchase a new pair and to get a return label sent to me to send this pair back. This would take over a week. My other skis broke and this is the end of our season so I’m not willing to have another week off the snow while I wait for another product to arrive. I offered the simple solution of discounting an additional $70 so I could buy the correct brakes at my shop and have the problem fixed. Erik’s would not work with me and would not own up to their mistake. Will never purchase from a place that has poor customer service like this place.

Second purchase from Erik’s bike shop and second time-shame on me. I just received the bike, second bike to come in damage. FYI all bikes are “floor models” which mean they are assembled and disassembled to be sent out when purchased. This means they can be scratched, used in the parking lot, and then sent out to unknowing customers. And they offer little none exchanges or returns. Brand new se bike just received by fedex today, pedal crank is stripped and they do not want to hear this. DO NOT ORDER from them!!

I got a great deal on a pair of skis, which were delivered in 3 days (way quicker than their estimate!). I wanted to leave a review as was very impressed with their service.

The service provided by this company is mediocre at best.
Return policy, and customer service are old-fashioned and inflexible, with a "my store, my rules" attitude.
After this expirience, I'm convinced - It is not worth supporting small retailers who refuse to adapt to current e-commerce standards and still operate as if it's the dial-up era. It is convenient and easier to buy from larger companies who value your business and are willing to accommodate customers in need and bend "rules" a little.
My request was to return UNOPENED ORDER 5 days after return window closed if count from date of purchase, just in time from the date of delivery. But "internal authorities" denied such outrageous request.
Updated based on response from the store.

Before you purchase anything from Erik’s Bike store read the reviews. There are a few people that had a good experience but there is an overwhelming consistency of comments suggesting that Eriks will take your money but there is no customer service to back their brand. This is absolutely true in my experience with Eriks. I have purchased multiple products from this company but will never do business with them again. Erik’s bikes does not care about their customers or doing what’s right. Stay clear of this company and spend your hard earned money somewhere else.

This shop is probably fine if you don't need advice or guidance, but if you do, I would go elsewhere. They have a reasonably large stock for a local ski store in the midwest. However....
I sent my girlfriend, a completely new skier, to Erik's to get some gear. She had skied only twice before on rentals. She took the advice of the representative in the store and bought what they recommended.
I am a snowboarder and she is new, so we didn't know enough to question the recommendations.
She skied on the new gear for three days out west at Beaver Creek, took some lessons, and had a really rough time. Specifically her shins were getting super beat up and her calves were in a lot of pain.
When we got back, in preparation for this year, I did a bit more research into her setup. We also visited a different local shop and re-measured her feet.
Erik's sold a brand new female skiier with a 22.5 boot size a MEN'S 26.5 pair of boots.
In retrospect her shins were getting beat up because her boots were so big they weren't holding her ankle tight and when she turned or stopped her shin was slamming the front of the boot. Her calves were in pain because they sold her a men's boot. The main difference between men and women's boots if the women's boot is shorter and built for a larger calf.
They also sold her Line Blade Skis and Pivot 12 bindings, which really are not appropriate choices for a beginner skier.
"The 2021 Look Pivot 12 Bindings are extremely durable bindings aimed toward intermediate to expert skiers that gives one a close connection" - from curated.com
"They (Line Blade) prefer higher speeds as it makes them easier to maneuver. Freestyle-wise, they have a good amount of pop all while staying really stable, so they are good on any size jumps. Wouldn't recommend it to any beginner to newer intermediate skiers" - ski profiles.com
It was just really bad advice. If you do buy anything from them, based on their advice, I strongly recommend doing your own research to verify their recommendations. Or, even better, go to a store with more knowledgeable staff.

Bike broke first day and they offered no help and suggested I take it somewhere and pay to have it fixed

I ordered an expensive bike stand from them. They put minimal effort into packing the item, and not surprisingly, the item arrived damaged.
When I asked for a replacement, they were out of stock and all they could offer in the cause of damage was a $20 gift card. The $20 is gift card is better than nothing, but shipping on their site is $9 minimum, so you aren't really getting much of anything for $20 unless you spend some more of your hard earned money at their store.
The whole experience left a bad taste. I don't think I will be coming back.

This is my first time ordering from Erik's. They had a good price on bindings I wanted, I ordered 2 weeks prior to needing them, a little tight but not a big deal because their estimated shipping would get them to me in plenty of time. The box came and I was so happy until I openened it and there was only one binding, lol. Customer service was really kind and tracked down the other one. It did come on time with one day to spare, that said..... seriously? - they didn't even open the box to make sure that there were 2 bindings in it? It didn't seem a little light? I would shop at Erik's if you have a good sense of humor, are kind of "Zen" overall, and plenty of time. If you're not up for an adventure, maybe try elsewhere.
SNOWBOARD BOOTS Review: Erik’s Bike Shop had the best price for the Ride Anthem snowboard boots I was looking for. I was skeptical at first given other reviews, but I placed my order on Thanksgiving, my boots shipped Friday the 25th, and I received exactly what I ordered on the 1st of December (four days earlier than expected). I couldn’t find another online retailer that was offering the Boots at a discount ($199/$249), so I’m super pleased with what I got. Thank you Erik’s!

This year, I finally decided I would spend the money and buy a new snowboard instead of used. I spent hours online trying to find the perfect board and I finally found it on Erik's site. I ordered it and was super excited to receive it, as this would be my first real snowboard. Unfortunately, when I received it, the box revealed a completely different board than the one I had ordered. I was disappointed and reached out to customer service right away. Their response was that they didn't have the one I ordered, so I could keep the board and get a $30 gift card, or I could send the board back and get a refund. After all the effort I put in to find the board I wanted, this was the worst possible outcome I could've imagined. This is a huge letdown and I can't believe there was nothing else they could do to help. It's on them they had an out of stock product on their site, sent me a different one without informing me they no longer had the one I wanted, and offering little help in fixing their mistake. $30 for a mix up on an over $300 snowboard isn't going to fix the mistake.
If you’re thinking about getting anything from Erik’s, I strongly urge you not to. They’re more worried about making money than making sure they’re doing the best for their customers.

I ordered a helmet with a scheduled delivery of 9/13. I called to check the status several days before the scheduled delivery, and was told everything was going fine, On 9/13 I called again and customer service simply cancelled the order because they did not have the item. A customer service rep. explained to me how difficult is to know stock levels etc.. clearly this wasn't much help in solving the problem. I advise against making any online purchases with them if you are counting on getting the item.

Bought a bike online on August 29th. Got a tracking number on August 30th. Still shows that fedex is waiting for the package. Been fighting with them for over a week for answers. Every time I get nothing but excuses and am told to just wait. Customer Service sucks! Have gotten nowhere. NEVER BUYING FROM ERIKS AGAIN!
