We have just returned from a 21 day trip consisting of wildlife, historical sites, trekking and ending in beach resort. We were a party of 8 people, half the party stayed for 16 nights. Have to say it was amazing. The itinerary was well organised with decent hotels, bar 1 which although our room was fine another had a slight issue and that is the only reason for not 5 rating.
Daniel was very patient & supportive throughout planning, Mitthala in Sri Lanka was making sure it was all going smoothly whilst we were out there. The company was so thoughtful by providing over and above the small things which added to the holiday experience. Our driver Suresh was great, accommodating our requests on the ground. He had good local knowledge & a sense of humour!
I will be recommending them to family & friends!

Me and my Partner booked a dream Holiday with What was Escape in SriLanka, however at the time we was advised not to go due to the terrorist attack in April, this was completely out of our control and the British government advised not to travel unless essential, we have still not received our money back 7 months down the line !! the customer service is terrible and I would not recommend booking with this company, which is sad to say as they offer amazing holidays.

We have just got back from a truly fantastic holiday in Sri Lanka. We had booked our holiday with Escape In Sri Lanka and they excelled in the service given to us.Our rep Amila is Sri Lankan who fluent in English & Portuguese which was a huge bonus for us. We did the South & East Sri Lanka tour which is an excellent way to see some of the country. If you are looking for a holiday that is a little bit different this is for you, We had glorious weather,food like I have never tasted before and the locations were just wonderful. You will be amazed at so many things that Sri Lanka has to offer to you.

I've visited 49 counties and have had many great holidays but this holiday was simply SUPERB.
Everything was perfect for my 60th birthday.
Even got two cakes...one off the hotel and one off Escape in Sri Lanka.
This island is mind blowing.
If it can be improved then our guide/host Sam made it even better.
He took us to places many other people will miss. His eyesight on the safari was unbelievable.
We had our doubts about this company before we left as they appeared too good.
But everything they promised and more was delivered.
Three weeks later and my wife and i still talk about our stay.
One place you MUST stay at is Deer Park...paradise on earth and the manager Roy is first class.
You may read negative comments but no company will please everybody. But they pleaded us from the moment we landed.
If you havent visited Sri Lanka you're missing a jewel...and this company did everything possible to make it the best holiday ever

Booked a 10 day trip to Sri Lanka through Escape in Sri Lanka staying at three different hotels/resorts, as well as flights - and can't recommend them enough! Daniel was our sales executive and he was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process of initial flight/hotel research, booking, Visa application and so on. Our driver in Sri Lanka was also wonderful - helpful, friendly, knowledgeable - nothing was too much trouble. The hotels we stayed at remain some of the best we've ever been to and the experiences from the trip some of the most memorable. It really was the holiday of a lifetime!

We went to Sri Lanka for a once in a lifetime holiday for my wife's 60th birthday in February this year.
Everything was great until we were on our way to our last hotel for 4 days yoga and relaxation. We were told the hotel had been double booked and they were relocating us to a 4 star beach location, this hotel was not to our satisfaction.
We refused to stay there and asked them to find us another hotel. After a long period of waiting i booked another hotel online which I paid for myself. We were totally let down and the trip cost me an extra £550 which the company has since re-paid me after a lot of chasing. If this company had been totally honest with my wife and I and explained clearly what had gone wrong and offered us a CHOICE of other accommodation the heartache could have been avoided. I have photographs of the unfinished room we were offered and I will load these if allowed.
They seem to want to put the blame onto us the customer who had paid a large amount for a holiday that went wrong through NO FAULT OF OURS. Their apology now is very shallow indeed.

We reserved our hotel stay in Sri Lanka through Escape in Sr Lanka. They were very courteous to work with. We did not have any surprises in Sri Lanka. I would recommend this company to anyone.

Escape in Sri Lanka has so far given me excellent service. My travel manager, Daniel Silva contacted me personally and he has been most helpful with regard the planning of my vacation. I'm looking forward to my holiday in Sri Lanka in December.
