Ordered goods and paid in full 9 months…

Ordered goods and paid in full 9 months ago and still waiting. Also, handbag I ordered arrived but was faulty and I haven't received a response to my many emails. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY as they do not care about their customers and I feel they are scamming customers and their clothing is such poor quality!

I give etc see no stars

I give etc see no stars. I have been waiting for an item since October last year. The response from them is nonsense as I have had two automated responses and one that said they would get back to me within two to three working days and that was on the 10th of April. I certainly will not buy from them again.

I would give 0/5 stars if I could as I ordered on 3rd January 2026, it’s now 15th April and no product delivered and no communication other than when I have enquired. Got the same response (copy paste) explaining they are overwhelmed. Etc etc. do the right thing and refund everyone’s money

I ordered clothing through Etc clothing…

I ordered clothing through Etc clothing on the 3rd December 2025, states that it is getting prepared for shipment. I have emailed several times always getting an automated response. I have not received the item as of yet. Very disappointed in the service. Will not be ordering again. This item was not advertised as a pre order item. Was looking forward to it arriving for Chrisrmas. I ordered items from Australia and received those for Christams this did not happen with this company.

Huge disappointment

I’ve bought lots over the years. It’s not cheap but the quality and uniqueness makes it worth it. I’ve got jumpers I bought 4 years ago that are still thick and warm
They have gone downhill sooo much though. I bought a fleece zip up hoodie, expecting it to be good quality fleece lined cotton, like the other jumpers I have bought in the past, instead it is thin shiny sh*t material like what you’d get from Temu. Fuzzy on the inside but certainly not fleecy. I feel annoyed as I’ve seen recent reviews and seen the excuses but gave the benefit of the doubt and made an order because all my other items have been decent quality. I even prepared for the shipping to take ages but I did not expect such a crap quality item. I have literally felt the same annoyance when a temu clothing order has arrived, except this is worse because temu clothing is quarter or less of the price that I paid.
Won’t even bother leaving a review on website or FB or asking for a refund, because everyone knows how that goes (reviews are deleted and emails are ignored). Silly me for ignoring the latest reviews. Even if your past experience was good, don’t even bother now. Just shop on temu or shein.

I pre-orders never arrive and no communication

I pre-ordered some items in August last year. They were supposed to deliver in November. It’s now 8 months later and I still have not received my clothes. Meanwhile the same items have been listed in their website as in stock for over a month with a few days delivery estimate. I have emailed them with no response. Stay away from this company. I understand delays happen but 8 months with no communication is ridiculous.

Wife ordered clothing August 2025 from them still no items even after emails which go unanswered and even when she tried for refund it is still pending the most shocking company around they are scammers seem to happily take money off people and do not bother to send products or make an effort to communicate

I ordered a custom tshirt mid January. I've only just TODAY got ANY email about it saying it's shipped. It's beginning of April.

To be fair, she's TODAY ONLY put a facebook post explaining some of what happened, but frankly an email update would have been a lot better and would have possibly reduced the number of negative reviews she got. I don't mind showing patience, kindness and support, but there was no comms telling me what was going on, and facebook, I'm sorry, isn't a reliable way of getting stuff out there. Expecting people to be patient while not communicating isn't fair. There are plenty of cheap or free email clients, or even a mail merge with outlook to get a mass email out which would have at least helped. Expecting people to check Facebook or their website isn't helpful.

I hope things go better for her moving forward, and I love the designs but pretty put off ordering at all from her moving forward.

Shocking Service, won't buy again.

Ordered on the 12th March, despatched on the 26th March. Its now 7th April and still waiting. Yes it's during Easter but having been despatched on 26th March you would've thought it would be here before 1st April. Add to that numerous emails and only a generated reply saying they will be in contact! WHEN?

I am beyond disgusted with ETC Clothing…

I am beyond disgusted with ETC Clothing and the way they treat their customers.

I have been a loyal customer for a long time, but this experience has completely destroyed any trust I had. Back in September, I placed a pre-order for items for my aunty, who was battling cancer at the time. We were promised these would arrive before Christmas. That mattered — this wasn’t just another order, it actually meant something.

The pre-order dates kept changing. I reached out multiple times just trying to get clarity, and got nothing but silence or vague responses.

My aunty passed away at the end of November.
It is now April… and I STILL do not have my order.

No updates. No accountability. No communication. Just being completely ignored.

What makes this even worse is watching the owner constantly posting — ranting about personal issues, talking about how hard things are, yet somehow still managing to pump out new releases every single day. How about fulfilling the orders people have already paid for first? How about showing even a basic level of respect to customers who are waiting months and months?

This isn’t just bad business — it’s heartless.

This order carried emotional weight, and the way it’s been handled has caused unnecessary distress on top of an already devastating situation. Being ignored while watching new stock get pushed daily is honestly a slap in the face.

At this point, I will be taking this further — including lodging a complaint with the Commerce Commission and exploring small claims, because this is completely unacceptable.

And to top it off, I have no doubt customers like myself get talked about or blasted behind closed doors when we speak up — but luckily, not everything stays private.

Absolutely appalling service. I will never support this business again.

I pre-ordered a dress in October

I pre-ordered a dress in October, they said it would arrive in early December.. it is now a few days before April.. still waiting. I would NOT buy from this company EVER AGAIN. When I have emailed them they just tell you it’s been held up. Nearly 6 months… NOT ACCEPTABLE!!!!!!

this company has zero customer service

this company has zero customer service. they delete any comment that may reflect negatively. The quality of clothing are no different to shein or temu nowadays however I would be inclined to say shein may have actually slightly better quality going on what I have received from ETC lately. It's a shame ETC have fallen down so badly. I feel no shame in never supporting this company again as they are fully taking advantage of people. then they block you....

Been waiting since August last year for…

Been waiting since August last year for my order. This will be my first and last order, what a rubbish company and ridiculous way to do business.
Their website is hopeless for updates, should not be offering pre -orders if they cannot complete them in a timely manner. My advise…steer clear and dont waste your time or MONEY

Been waiting 5 months for my dress

Update 18 March: a refund has been made.

Been waiting 5 months for my dress. Have emailed several times, the latest asking for a full refund. No reply to last 2 emails and first reply was just their standard experiencing delays bla bla. Their website says the dress is still in manufacture process. I think this company has gone under! DO NOT BUY FROM ETC CLOTHING NZ!!

If I could give zero stars I would …

If I could give zero stars I would very disappointed in them.
I placed my order on the 2nd of January 2026, it is now the 15th of March and I have not received my order I have emailed them three times with no response I have messaged them about four times on Facebook with no response so I went on the face book page and notice they were replying to people's comments on their posts so I posted a comment asking what was going on with my order and they hid my comment. Do not buy from them. I'm lucky I placed my order was afterpay and have been able to make a dispute through afterpay and hopefully I will get a refund.

ETC clothing - steer clear - customer service ridiculous

I’m writing this review on behalf of my mother, who ordered a dress from Etc Clothing in early October.

She understood it was a pre-order item and accepted there would be a delay. Based on the information provided, she reasonably expected it around December.

December came and went with no dress and no update.

After she contacted the company, she was told it would arrive in January. January also passed with no delivery.

She has since emailed twice more asking for an update and, most recently, requesting a refund. Those emails have not received any reply.

The last communication from the company was on 23 February, when they sent a lengthy explanation about their process. In that email they stated:

“Our standard wait time for pre-orders is 3–4 months from the time we initially list the item for pre-order until the time it arrives at our warehouse.”

They went on to explain that after the pre-order period, the garments take 6–8 weeks to be made, are then sent to quality control, loaded into a container “when it can find space”, spend 3–4 weeks at sea, and then take 5–7 days to clear customs and reach their warehouse.

They also noted that much of the process is “out of our control” and that delays can occur.

However, even allowing for all of that, we are now well beyond the timeframe they themselves outlined. It has been more than six months since the order was placed, and there is still no dress, no clear delivery date, and now no response at all to emails.

Delays can happen. What is unacceptable is poor communication and ignoring customers who are simply asking for an update or refund.

Waiting over half a year for a $70 dress — and then being met with silence — is not reasonable service by any standard.

We understand that small businesses face challenges, but basic customer service should still apply. At the very least, customers deserve honest updates and replies to their emails.

Based on this experience, I would strongly caution others about pre-ordering from this company. The wait may be far longer than suggested, and getting a response when things go wrong appears to be very difficult.

UPDATE
I have tried complaining to the company via their Facebook messenger. Their response - to email and there are delays in getting back to people.

They seem to be able to update their social media multiple times a day, but cannot be assed getting back to paying customers. Beware.... what a waste of our time!
