Poor project management
I invested in a container terminal project in 2017. The project is still failing to pay out to investors. Every so often I get an update which is the same message, another meeting took place with no progress. As with any investment; capital is at risk, so my complaint isn’t regarding the financial performance. Rather, it was clear from the beginning that Ethis and the beneficiary of the investment funds are not experienced project management professionals based on their project updates. As such, the writing was on the wall that this investment was going to fail and it has. I invested through Ethis based on their good reviews and based on the brand. I want an ethical and easy halal investment platform available for everyone. Unfortunately my experience has not met the expectations set by the brand and the marketing. A few years ago I did contact their team and I received about 10% of my invested capital at that time. From a customer support perspective they did a good job there. I choose not to use this platform in the future and I’d caution others not to get caught up in the marketing and be aware that capital is at risk.

I invested with Ethics more than 2 years ago in Griya Pali Project as a Lead investor where they promised to pay us back in 8 months time. Now it is been 3 years and 3 months since I invested and yet the project did not finish and no money.
My main problem with Ethis is they never communicate with you. I was always trying to ask for updates and most of the time they never reply to emails..
I was initially really impressed by the concept but it is sad to see how unprofessional they are. My basic expectation if I invest money is to get information or communication if there was any issues or delays. I found it very difficult to talk with them and now my investment is late by a year and a half and I still did not get my payment and I do not know what is going on!!
Do not ever invest with them. Many of my friends had the same issues with them. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or if you need any evidence.

Bit of a gamble..
I thought I will wait a few years before writing review but now it's been long enough.
Out of the 3 projects I invested in, 1 was a few months late, 1 was many months late, and the current one is more than 18 months overdue following the end date.
The advertised rate isn't true if using foreign currency as it reduces significantly once you take into account currency fluctuation and the transfer fee - on one occasion leading to a loss for me.
Project updates word-to-word exactly the same for the last 6 months - recovery plan copy-pasted from the previous updates therefore in reality there is no update.
No prospect for restructuring of repayment.
Definitely would not recommend.

Not worth the gamble
I would not advise anyone risk their capital with Ethis. It’s basically a gamble if your project will actually complete on time. I invested in 3 projects. The first only just paid out 2yrs after the deadline. The second paid on time. The third was supposed to pay out in Nov 2021!!! I am still waiting.
Monthly updates are sparse on details. “Promising more information”, but they only update monthly, so progress is slow and promises pointless.
Given the poor returns and how a 4 month project turned into 2+yrs, you’re better off investing in halal stocks. It’s just a joke how delayed things are. Would never recommend.
