I’ve written two reviews: one for the TLDR crowd and one for those who want a bit more detail.

TLDR: solidly fair pricing, great customer service, expert (and up-to-date) knowledge on all things related to relocation – just hire European Odyssey. You won’t regret it.

Detail: First, a timeline - I began my relocation to Portugal with European Odyssey in August 2025. At the time, an appointment with the Portuguese consulate in my area (through VFS) was a unicorn, nonexistent. After months of countless attempts to obtain said appointment, European Odyssey provided an ingenious solution and obtained a March 2026 appointment. I arrived in Portugal in April 2026; European Odyssey obtained my AIMA appointment for July 2026 and I now have my temporary residency card.

During this entire process, Ellie Sanches of European Odyssey was available at any time to answer questions, provide direction and basically hold my hand during the process (Ellie may be a vampire as I don’t think she sleeps). Even when the initial consulate appointment seemed unobtainable, Ellie would periodically check in with updates and encouragement. The response time to all communications with any member of the EO team was never more than a day even given the significant time difference (over a period of 11 months that is quite amazing).

Prior to both appointments, a preparatory phone call with European Odyssey ensured that all my paperwork was current and in order. This attention to detail deflected any issues that might have arisen at either the consulate or with AIMA – it is difficult to overstate the value of this step.

Ellie’s intimate knowledge of the most intricate details of the process (“You’re at AIMA? Go stand here. Have this piece of paper in your hand.”) turned what could have been a difficult process into a fluid, simple and non-stressful procedure. As a former owner of a small business, I can appreciate the behind-the-scenes effort it takes to stay at the top of your game; Ellie and the EO team most certainly put in that effort and it shows.

I have nothing but praise for the outstanding services provided by European Odyssey; zero regrets, I would hire them again in an instant and I highly recommend their relocation services.

Ellie and her team had immediate responses to any queries or questions we had in regard to obtaining our D7 Portuguese visas from the UK.
I have previously never used any companies to assist with obtaining visas, for that matter with anything, as I believed I could do it myself. We had tried ourselves to obtain the D7 visas and we couldn't even get appointments in London. But now we have our Portuguese temporary resident permits, I realise that it was the best decision we made to use European Odyssey.
They also introduced to other organisations to assist with the financial aspects etc. they were also very good.
I would highly recommend EO for their professionalism as well being much more competitive than immigration lawyers.

What stands out for me is the care and attention I received to prepare me for my initial application interview for my long-term visa and the continued professionalism and legal expertise I received through to my AIMA interview appointment and ultimately to receiving my residence permit.
My experience navigating the visa / residence process successfully was significantly improved by using European Odyssey as they did the heavy-lifting to prepare me and the follow up needed to ensure a timely outcome.

When it came to making the most important move of our lives, I wasn't prepared to leave anything to chance. The level of service, guidance, and especially the attention to detail, are but some of the reasons why I made the right decision in working with European Odyssey.
I've been trying to think of something they could've done better, but in all honesty, my expectations have been exceeded every step of the way.
Having been through the process I realise there are so many things that can so easily go wrong. But having a team of experts behind us has ensured that we've been fully prepared every step of the way.

I cannot fault European Odyssey from 1st contact to receipt of Portuguese D7 visa. I highly recommend them. My circumstances weren't straightforward so I know for sure I wouldnt have been able to achieve this without their guidance. Throughout the process they were efficient, professional and immensely supportive - answering every query by return - and ensuring the entire journey ran speedily, smoothly and calmly. After my AIMA appt in Portugal I received my residency card in 6 days! Both colleagues were also a pleasure to deal with. They really know their stuff!!
