Costly Booking mistakes were made.

1/23/26 Update to the below review. Europe Express has now reimbursed us for the night and tour we missed.
They booked us to be in Lisbon for 4 nights, but only paid for the hotel for 3 nights. We had to pay out of pocket to have a place to stay that night. They also booked us for an excursion at a time when we weren't in the town yet. No response from customer service to resolve the failures in their scheduling.

Overall

Overall, the reservations through Europe Express were excellent on our trip to the UK. However, we had a Royal Mile tour reserved and paid for which was supposed to include entrance to Edinburgh Castle. We called and confirmed it with our reservation number. Upon taking the tour we found out we were given the Ghost tour which did not include the castle. In fact, upon inquiring about the tour, we were informed that the Ghost tour did not include the castle and that the castle was already closed for the day. The tour hosts said they have had trouble with Europe Express in the past, and that probably selected the wrong tour. We have been in contact with our travel agent about getting a refund, but no news yet.

The worst

Dishonest about hotel beach closure. Bad tour guides. Who smoked and were not local. BAad flights on sub par airlines. UNReliable on pick ups...

Don’t Trust Europe Express!

My husband and I just returned from a trip to London and Paris. We live in Appleton, Wisconsin and have flown to Europe before through Chicago. That was our plan when we booked this trip through a travel agent in September 2024. In January 2025, four months before our trip, suddenly our return flight was changed from coming into the U.S. through Chicago to Dallas/Fort Worth. This made us have a 10 hour trip from Paris instead of a seven hour trip. To make things worse, we had a six hour layer over before we could get a flight home to Appleton. By the time we got home, we had been up for 25 hours! I feel this extended time made our jet lag worse, which I’m still suffering from five days after getting home. Our travel agent tried to get the flight changed back to go through Chicago, but Europe Express told us we would each have to pay $400. We will not book with a travel company that uses Europe Express ever again!

Wish I Could Give 0 Stars

Absolutely despicable company with no compassion at all. My 51 year old husband passed away extremely unexpectedly 2 weeks prior to our trip. One of our travel companions called to see if there was anything they could do, and they basically just said, "You should have purchased travel insurance. There's nothing we will do." I can completely understand not refunding items like airfare that they have no control of, but most hotels allow cancellations within 24-48 hours, so I really feel they could have done something.

In the future I've definitely learned my lesson and will always purchase travel insurance, but I would never, ever use a travel agent who works with this company again.

I love working with Europe Express

I love the new structure Europe Express has put in place! My dedicated Reservation Agent, Cindy, is on FIRE--she's getting me quotes within a day or two and that's awesome. I'm getting used to the new systems for payments and now I've got a follow-up agent to work with for every reservation too. I’m looking forward to another great year partnering with Europe Express!

Recently booked some tours and Hotels…

Recently booked some tours and Hotels through my travel agent, who subsequently used Europe Express to book. The invoice that I received from Europe Express was not itemized, but, was was given a total cost for all items booked. In researching, I found that the quote I was given, was substantially higher than I was expecting. I researched this company and found that they had many poor reviews. When I contacted my travel agent, she was surprised and stated that she thought these reviews had been removed. To summarize, I asked my travel agent to cancel these tours and hotels, and book with another reputable company. To my surprise, Europe Express refused to refund a $500 deposit, even though my travel dates were 6 month’s away. They stated that a booking fee was nonrefundable. Would definitely not ever use this company.
