Awfully Complicated Process and Terrible Customer Support

They claim that everything on their website is simple. It's a lie. The website is complicated and doesn't work properly. Their customer support is usually unavailable and poor and responds too slowly. It was a horrible experience. Please avoid depending on them for your event needs. They are just awful!

The worst and most problematic company culture

Events.com has the worst and most problematic company culture that I've ever had the displeasure to be experience. The management here are narcissists who have zero respect for the employees and who literally do not care about our well-being. The managers just give out orders and expect employees to follow them blindly.

Terrible Experience and Unreliable Service!

I was absolutely furious with Events.com! They couldn't have been more disorganized if they tried. Every time I called, I got different answers, and half the time, they didn't even know what I was talking about. Their platform was glitchy, slow, and crashed constantly. I lost count of how many times I had to start over because the site just stopeed working. The worst part was their lack of transparency and hidden fees. I ended up paying way more than what they initially quoted, and when I asked about the extra charges, they gave me the runaround. They were unapologetic and rude.

Don't trust them. These liars and fake people will betray you. Their support will be unavailable when you need it the most. They will leave you hanging and never respond. Please avoid these terrible people if you don't want to have the worst event experience. Learn from my mistakes!

Do not use Events.com

Do not use Events.com. They will not pay out for the obligations they have entered into for your functions. We are still owed $5,590 for an event in December of 2020 that Events.com is obligated to remit payment for. Events.com has effectively stolen $5,590 from a small family business.

Hi, your event was not on Events.com, it was on Brown Paper Tickets. Events.com automatically pays out for ticket sales, as organizers set up their own stripe account, so organizers control their funds, payouts, and timing. We understand your concerns regarding payments and want to assure you that resolving this is our top priority. With over $75 million already disbursed, we're committed to accelerating the remaining payments. Your patience and trust in us during this time are greatly appreciated.

Total scam

Total scam, they are just like a Brown Paper Tickets and they intentionally mislead users to avoid paying out for events. Events.com claims they purchased Brown Paper tickets and would pay out all past events by now. That is a lie and I am still owed money 10 months later. They collected my personal data including bank information but had no intention to pay. It is basically bank fraud. Contact the local authorities if you are involved in an event with them.

BEWARE - Unethical cancellation policy

Events.com team did not mention their cancellation policy or when it would come into effect despite speaking to their customer support on the phone numerous times. Another company hiding behind the small print. The cancellation charge was astronomical. This is incredibly poor service, I will not use them ever again.

I am also waiting for $10,285 for an event held in June, 2023. I had used Brown Paper Tickets for online ticketing for the previous 9 years. No communication from either BPT or Events.com to numerous inquiries about payment of the money collected from my ticket holders. This is not acceptable! How can a company fleece so many people and organizations?! Please spare me and others the canned response to this review. WE JUST WANT OUR MONEY!!

No confirmation email and can't get ahold of them

I placed a ticket order for an event in my city, being hosted by Events.com. I received an order number, but received no confirmation email with the tickets/information. Events.com will not answer their phone and accepted my payment. Now I don't know what the hell is going on with my order. Thanks a lot, Events.com.

Brown Paper Tickets and Events.com will not pay my small business what they collected for us

We held an event through BPT in February of 2023 (after Events.com purchased BPT in October of 2022). They collected over $23,000 and promised payment within 10 business days. Almost a year later we haven’t received a penny of the funds BPT collected from our customers. All Events.com will do is say the usual “this was BPT not us, except Events.com had already acquired BPT. Numerous attempts to collect via an attorney have gone unanswered by Events.com. Pay us! We are a small business struggling and can really use the tens of thousands of dollars owed to us.

Discusted with payout wait

Yup, another one waiting for a payout from an event that used BPT. Auto response, form to fill out, no response in over 5 months, now contacting legal services to try to get the money.
Oh yes, it was a funder for hospital services, 8K owed.

Nice work Events.com

scammers

Just another Brown Paper Tickets event host here to complain about the $1,000 I've been owed for 5 months. I'm genuinely sorry for you all at events.com that you acquired such a scam company, but the fact is you acquired the scam company, and now you're the scammers! congrats. please don't bother posting the paragraph on my comment about how you don't own the company you own; no one cares.

the events.com people gave me a form to fill out six weeks ago, which I did. they then admonished me that my payment was "high priority" and would be initiated soon. needless to say, I don't have the money.

Act like a legit company!!!

When are you going to pay what is owed? My organization used Brown Paper Tickets which is still currently up and operating and notes it is now operated by you. I understand the transition, but it is time to start paying what is owed. Stop with the canned response to fill out a form. Answer emails, turn phones on. Offer customer service like a legit company.

Events.com is trying to hide the fact they HAVE acquired Brown Paper Tickets. Their autogenerated reply is pure SS. The events in question were booked after Events.com took control of BPT. That makes them responsible for not paying the $11,480 owed. My first unpaid event was last May. Stay away from both BPT and Events.com I am currently using TicketSpice with no issues.

Disgusted

Disgusted! I too am waiting for payment from BPT since January and have contacted Events.com for help to resolve our nonpayment. No response. Our 4-H program is out around $7000 which should be going towards scholarships for our community youth. This is devastating and disgusting neither company will pay us our money! I filled out their acquisition query some weeks ago but still no response. I have now started contacting the businesses that are listing their events on BPT and warning them about what is happening!

Is Events.Com corrupt?

Serious concerns that events.com is a bonafide company. We are a children's NFP and are owed $13K from an event we sold through Brown Paper Tickets - a company they bought back in 2022. No phone contact available to either company, automated response to support.
