HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. They confuse you with a non-existent "password", their instructions are unclear, all the way to the end. They even mentioned the importance of fully "ending" the session once done. There was no option to do that. I just had to close all the tabs to make sure the session ended. The worst part? They don't notify you when they start recording you!!! A simple "recording has started" would be freaking nice... All in all, worst proctoring system I've EVER used. I hope I get a different third-party option for my next exam.

So the coolest thing happened when I…

So the coolest thing happened when I was opening up examity to take an advanced pharmacology exam that I was super anxious about already because it's 25% of my grade and pretty tough subject matter. You'll like this. The whole site just didn't work. Isn't that neat? Just the tech team, who stabbed in the dark at trouble shooting with me until I was near tears watching my exam window wind to a close without being able to log on to take the exam, didn't know it was system wide problem and kept trying to make it about me and my computer. Isn't that cool? It wasn't until I emailed my professor and she shared that literally everyone in my class was having the same problem that I finally felt like my nightmare experience with examity might draw to a close. Except it won't. Because now the entire affected portion of the class has to try again once the problem is fixed and the professor grants us all an extension. So just know that when you use examity, you won't have to worry about little tiny problems. Only catastrophic ones. Totally rad that they staff people from another country to breath into the microphone and watch you while you're already nervous as well. Once the system comes back online I have that to look forward to. Just swell. We wouldn't want to just go and use Respondus lock down browser or anything where there's no stranger watching you or systems to collapse. Just a lock down browser where you can take your test in privacy any time you want to. I'd rather have a stringent window, a judgemental observer, microphone feedback and background noise from India and the ever present threat that the whole thing might just collapse. It's the bees knees.

I was planning to have an exam on Wednesday, but turns out their calendar for scheduling starts with Sunday. So as a user I automatically clicked the third day, as for normal people that would be Wednesday, but turns out it is Tuesday.

My Worst Experience in 2024

I must express my disappointment with the recent scheduling process for my exam. Despite initially scheduling my exams for Saturday, April 20th, 2024, at 5:30 pm WAT, there was a discrepancy regarding the time, leading to confusion (showing 6:30pm in the examity portal). When attempting to commence the exam, I encountered connectivity issues and was ultimately marked as a "No show," despite my efforts to take the exam within the designated timeframe.

Subsequently, after contacting the support they told me to reschedule another appointment and I rescheduled the exams for Monday, April 22nd, 2024, at 7:00 am WAT, only to be met with further inconsistencies between the portal display (8:00 am) and the confirmed appointment time (7:00 am). Despite seeking clarification from customer support, the situation remained unresolved but they told me that the exam is scheduled for 8:0am.

This morning, I encountered technical difficulties preventing me from accessing the exams, despite my persistent attempts from approximately 6:45 am to 7:47 am WAT. Throughout this ordeal, I maintained regular communication with support, yet the issues persist.

Contacting the support this morning, they told me that my exam was schedule for 7:00am and the worse thing that wrote me off was that they said they have no control over time zone... can you imagine!.

This experience has been immensely frustrating and has greatly impacted my confidence in the scheduling exams. I sincerely hope for a swift resolution to prevent similar occurrences in the future. This is an experience you wouldn't want even your enemy to experience.

Please Examity resolve this issue to end the frustration of student, I feel you can do better if you take this review as constructive criticism to improve your services.

Thank you.

Scheduled and paid for an exam, 3 days later the exam is still not available on my account

Scheduled and paid for an exam, but the exam did not appear on my account. I contacted their customer support who continually told me the issue was "escalated to the concerned team". After 3 business days, the exam still wasn't scheduled on my account and no one could ever put me in contact with this "team" that was supposedly working on the issue. I will note that I've scheduled exams with Examity in the past and have always had the same issue where I've paid for the exam, but it never appears on my account. I always have to contact customer service and wait for someone to manually book the exam. It's ridiculous. Your entire business is proctoring exams, but your scheduling system doesn't even work and you appear to be putting zero effort into improving it since I'm having the same issues a year later. Except now, your customer support is even worse and no one at your company can figure out how to add an exam to someone's account after 3 days. Poor, poor, poor and I have recommended to Epic that they find an alternative proctoring solution that actually works.

Worst experience ever using a proctor

Worst experience ever using a proctor. Probably a horrible idea to have people with strong accents trying to explain rules, especially when they don’t understand the rules themselves. Not able to help or explain anything then just disconnect you from the test.

I had an awful experience with examity

I had an awful experience with examity. Well before my exam, I tested all my systems and made sure that my pop up blockers were turned off. I was not able to connect to a proctor, and the customer service for examity is extremely poor. They blamed everything on my end. At one point they wanted me to switch to Zoom to take my test, but at that point 45 minutes had gone by and I didn't have the time then to start my test and finish before work. I was told by the proctor that I would be able to reschedule my exam, but I in fact, was not able to reschedule. They would not let me. I asked for a refund and they said no, I asked for a credit to schedule another exam and they said no. I ended up making a complaint to the BBB and my credit card company to get a refund from this place. Would give zero stars if I could.

Examity is terrible

ExAmity is terrible. Do not do any testing with them. I've taken proctored tests through Pearson and Microsoft before. NEVER have I had this much trouble. I had 2 hours to take my exam. The proctor spent 31 MINUTES having me adjust my webcam. Literally, that is no exaggeration or joke. So I take my test, pass and everything. Two weeks later, I get a notice of Academic Authenticity Warning due to the proctor saying I was muted the whole time. I literally just didn't talk the entire time. This'll be interesting when we watch the video. Don't do business with this company.

No refund policy for things out of your control - extremely poor

After having unexpected technical difficulties just before my exam, I was unable to take the exam due to the requirements. I proceeded to ask for my exam to be rescheduled / for a refund and nothing was given to me. The technical difficulties were completely out of my control but the customer support team would not do anything about it - extremely poor.

Broken timezone automatic update on…

Broken timezone automatic update on their website

Son got marked as a no show for a 1pm test. He was on the phone with them at 11:30am when he saw this but could only get a reschedule. They could not explain the problem.

I found the issue when I got home and fixed as his reschedule would have been wrong as well.

I was fully prepared to make this a learning lesson for my son but he was correct on this one.

Despite the bad profile time, all emails and notifications showed a 1pm test time - verfied

I called them when I got home to help explain to them their issue...... it took me 45min and a supervisor- it was like talking to 3 year olds trying to help "them"

30 years in IT :(

Terrible

Terrible. I was having trouble getting their test plugin working and before I knew what was happening their support staff had accessed my PC and started deleting data off my pc. They cleared all my history and cookies from my google account (not just my web browser but my actual account) without asking then started disabling inbuilt windows security features. I ended up having to disconnect and kick off the support person before they made a bad situation worse.
Do not use this borderline hackers software on a machine you aren't prepared to rebuild afterwards as goodness knows what the examity people are doing in the background. Poor software and support staff that are prepared to compromise your security and data without even asking first.

Dreadful experience

Dreadful experience, support is terrible staff do not listen to you the customer instead they simply seem to read a bog standard script. Again and again and again... just search for reviews or look on the google extension reviews they are all very bad. My issue is widely reported yet all I got from them was a stuck record. When I took the exam it was incredibly difficult to understand the agent who's accent was so strong and he spoke very fast. Also there are some serious issues here with security which in hind site I wish I had been more cautious. Examity appears to be a company trying to make as much money as possible while they use overseas staff (cheap labour) to try and pacify customers with awful software and support. Unbelievably bad !!!!
