Gary has magic hands

Gary has magic hands! He got my husband full movement after a full shoulder replacement, he got my knee pain free after a surgeon told me I needed injections and most recently helped my son get over a back rugby injury. Always gives the right advice to fix the problem. Totally recommend.

Exceptional Care from Michelle – Best Physio Ever

I visited Excel Physiotherapy in Upminster for rehab following knee surgery and saw Michelle – she was absolutely brilliant! I’ve seen a lot of physios over the years, and Michelle is by far the best. My private surgeon, who is one of the best in his field, personally recommended Excel Physiotherapy, and he certainly knows what he’s talking about. Michelle’s expertise, care, and personalised approach made a huge difference to my recovery. The clinic is professional and welcoming, with smooth scheduling and a friendly team that puts you at ease from the moment you arrive. I’ve since recommended her to friends, and they’ve all had fantastic experiences too. I would 100% recommend Michelle and Excel Physiotherapy to anyone looking for top-quality care.

Best physio I've ever been treated by.

Born with a scoliosis and following a lifetime of sporting and motorcycle accidents I've been in need if more than my fair share of physio. Nothing |I've experienced compares to Gary. It's as if he knows what you're going through and can therefore design a remedial course of action that is best for you. Superb.

Excellent physio from Ralph at Excel

I was familiar with Excel having previously had excellent service and treatment from Gary, and then from Michelle.
On this occasion, 2 weeks after my wife's hip replacement op, the hip dislocated and she needed emergency manipulative re-instatement at Queens.
Such was the post op/post re-instatement pain she was unable to attend physio clinics.
So we sought a home visiting physio just at the time Excel were introducing such a service in the person of Ralph.
Ralph is enormously skilled and committed to his patients, and also very positive - a quality that was extremely valuable in overcoming my wife's anxieties about a further dislocation when following the remedial physio exercises.
My wife's has made great progress under Ralph's supervision being able to progress quickly through frame assisted walking, and quickly through the crutches phase onto single stick use for balance - soon to be dispensed with.
Not only is Ralph highly skilled and experienced he has instilled confidence in my wife which has been a significant factor in her recovery.

Inefficient and disorganised booking!

I would like to complain about my recent experience in your Chalfont Dene clinic. I’ve been in touch with Emma Youens when I asked to rebook my appointment with Mrs. Wan Yiu. She booked me in on 11th July at 12pm. I went to the clinic at 11:50am (despite my morning sickness as I’m pregnant). I spoke to someone at the front desk (later on she told me she doesn’t have anything to do with Excel Physio) and informed her I had an appointment with Mrs. wan Yiu at 12pm. She told me to just wait. So I patiently waited until 12:05 and I checked in again, she said Mrs. wan Yiu is running late because she has a patient. One of the ladies in the spa also told me Mrs. wan yiu is just running late. So I just waited. At 12:18, I spoke again to the lady at the front desk and she checked. Only to find out that I haven’t been booked in! I am so upset on how disorganised your booking system was, and no one was taking responsibility at that time! Although Mrs. Wan Yiu apologised about the situation, it’s a wasted time on my side! I’m pregnant and suffering from morning sickness, yet I went knowing I have an appointment! Nobody informed Mrs. Wan yiu, that I’m there waiting, they even had to LIE and tell me that she just has a patient and running late but she actually had no patient until 1230!! This is a very disappointing experience for me and I now refuse to get my physio from your clinics. I’ve never had this kind of experience before when I see a therapist or a doctor, hence I find this unacceptable! You should have your own receptionist to inform Mrs. Wan Yiu that someone was waiting for her, because to be honest, the lady in the front desk was very rude!

I would highly recommend!!

I have been seeing Gary for quite some time now due to an injury at work and arthritis pain. I had been on pain meds for years and nothing seemed to ease the pain until I started working with Gary. The exercises were structured specifically for my injury and joint pain and when a few didn't work out he came up with different plan and I can honestly say I feel the best I have in years. I still have my flare ups but I very rarely need to take my pain meds. I can't thank him enough and would highly recommend him.

Thank you Gary & team

I have been taking my son to see Gary for a number of months now and cannot recommend him enough. He has helped my son with an injury and also diagnosed something the hospital and I had both missed. Everyone at the practice is so kind and helpful- I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the practice.

A great help for neck pain

I consulted Excel because I had neck pain. Gary was very professional in giving advice and treatment. He explained carefully the probable causes of the pain and gave effective therapy in the clinic. He also advised me on the kinds of exercises that would help at home.
I am very pleased with the outcome of the treatment and wouldn't hesitate in recommending Excel to others.

Gary is a legend

Gary is a legend, i’ve been using him for a number of years and no matter how many times i try and permanently injure myself, he always manages to come up with a solution and rehab process. The difficulty in getting an appointment tells you how popular he is, but it’s always worth it.
