Garbage

When they work it's great. Many times I cannot get them to turn on. Like on the 8 hour flight I just had with no way to listen to my phone. I am throwing them away at the airport.

Only reason I am giving a one is because I actually like the product. BUT, I accidentally ordered 2, and they did quickly email a return label and promised a refund. That was in June, and I keep emailing and waiting for an almost $100 refund. Horrible customer service. Bet I won’t see that 100. 🤬

"Exobone" is pretty surely a fraud.

I think this is a fraud. I ordered an Exobone bluetooth bone-conduction headset on Winnergear.com, paid $97 including shipping, and received an "OpenEar Duet" in a sealed package. OpenEar Duet is sold for $25.99 on Amazon and other sites. The emailed receipt says "Exobone 1.0". The photos on the Winnergear website look like those showing OpenEar Duet, and what I received looks like those photos except for lacking silver bands just above the actual sound transducers.

Worst company I have dealt with in many…

Worst company I have dealt with in many years. I accidentally purchased 2 Bone conduction earbuds, because their site was so poor. Tried to cancel but had already shipped 2 units. Started using 1st one- only worked for 1 day. Won’t charge with their proprietary charging cable, and all audio was gone. Very poor construction.
I have spent the last few months try into get a refund for the 2nd unit. They have been terrible with follow-up and I just want consumers to know how bad this company is to work with. Dave

Total garbage

Total garbage. I received the headphones as a Christmas present and they didn't last through January. Their customer service replied to two email and then Crickets. My last email to them was two weeks ago and I just sent another one.

Bought 2 pair last year

Bought 2 pair last year. All use virtually indoors. First set died after several months, (wouldn’t charge). Second set worked for a while but also ran into charging issues. Now they may or may not charge and when they do only one side works for a short while then dies. Nice concept no quality.

Annoying features not worth it

I’ve had the exobone headset for about six weeks. It does more or less what it promises to do but it has a bunch of flaws. I don’t see the advantage over Aftershokz.
They fold up for some reason, into a fairly unwieldy shape. I never fold them. But the result of this folding is that they don’t sit firmly against the bones they’re supposed to transmit sound through. The sound suffers from this.
The most annoying thing is the main button, which starts and stops your stream and answers and hangs up your calls. I have to poke at it about three times to get it to respond, sometimes turning it on and off as I’m impatient to have something happen. Half the time taking my mask off triggers this button.
When I’m in a call, about half the time people say they can’t hear me well and I have to switch off them. To be fair, this happens with Aftershokz too and is one reason I tried Exobone.
On an esthetic level, the woman’s voice that says “power on, pairing” is super annoying. I try not to listen.
These are pretty expensive and I don’t see the point in buying them.

SCAM ALERT

SCAM SCAM SCAM
If you deal with these thieves, you will regret it.
First of all, when you purchase a set and click through the process of ordering, you are inadvertently adding other items to you cart.
They are actually charging you as you go. Then your bank will pick up multiple transactions, and eventually stop them taking money. Then the site says your card is declined. Then you use another card and do it again, then they take more money from the second card. Before you know it, the have scammed 600+ dollars from your accounts, and they send an invoice for a much smaller amount. Then you contact them and ask them to cancel it all and refund the money, then they say they will get on to it, then they send the products out anyway, probably to try claim you will be getting the goods to make it harder for you to recover your money from the credit card providers, then you are in for a battle with the credit card providers to get your money back. The way they do it is deceitful, and makes it confusing to recover your money.
SCAM SCAM SCAM
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED
IF YOU BUY FROM THEM, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ALL YOUR CREDIT CARD PROVIDERS ON SPEED DIAL, BECAUSE YOU WILL NEED IT. AND IF NOTHING ELSE, CHECK YOU BANK STATEMENTS ASAP!!!

On a side note, when you search for conduction headphones review, the first review that comes up is an actual add, not a review. It gives exobone a glowing review, when you dig deeper, you will find out that it is bogus, ie an add. I looked at a lot of other reviews, and exobone is not even mentioned.
Very clever ripoff tactic by this scamming syndicate.

Total crap. Buy something else.

I purchased these because they came highly rated however these are quite honestly the biggest waste of $100 I've yet encountered. The sound quality is terrible, they are uncomfortable, not suitable to wear with a bike helmet, very short battery life (30-45 min, not as advertised) and... today after only having had them in my possession for 2 months and after I just recharged them, they are dead. Flatline... dead after 2 months. Total crap.

Long delivery delay for poor performing device

It took 12 weeks to receive the product once ordered only after I complained twice that nothing had been done to ship my order. When they finally arrived, I was disappointed the sound quality was flat & only about 50% of the max volume of my Apple EarPods. I’m very disappointed in the poor sound quality & long delay in receiving this shipment. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

DON’T ORDER EXOBONE

DON’T ORDER. Placed order in May, told 10 days for shipping. After two weeks emailed company because still hadn’t shipped. Beginning of almost two months of back and forth emails with promises it would ship soon. After 6 weeks told company to cancel order, WHICH THEY WOULDN’’T DO. Kept saying “it’s shipping soon” told them repeatedly at that point NOT to ship because I was canceling order and wanted refund. After almost two months, in spite of cancellation, they went and shipped it anyway. Never opened it since I no longer wanted it, then another two weeks to get return information and had to pay $10 to ship it back on top of the $10 they charged at original order. Had to contact them two or three times to get refund processed, which I finally got almost 2 weeks after they received item back.

VAPORWARE

I also ordered 2 pairs of this product in early May. Through several emails, one of their reps, Julianne promised to ship my order the following week (twice). It’s mid-July and I’ve not received my order. I’ve requested a cancellation and a full refund. As far as I’m concerned this is vaporware.

I ordered almost 5 months ago to winnergear. After having received nulerous times "your order is under process", they finally "sent" it. Guess what? DHL lost it. Supposedly. Oh... they NEVER gave me the DHL tracking number. It's a major scam, they never sent anything.
