Fraudsters, Fraudsters, Fraudsters!!

Fraudsters. Please, please, please, do not use this company. I lost £900, yes you read correctly. They were supposed to repair my gear box on my Audi A3. Spoke to a person called 'Jamie' I use inverted commas as I don't believe that is his real name. Like the rest of the reviews on here, they didn't show up but debited by card. I took them to the small claims court and had an order made against them. I then ordered bailiffs to execute the order, but they are not at the registered address in London. After investigation on Companies House, found out another address in Brighton. So sent the bailiffs to this address. No luck. I then contacted the company who appear on Can't Pay we'll take it away. Paid them £60 and then did some investigating. As the company is registered a LTD they couldn't execute the warrant. However, they did tell me that the company has now dissolved. I know the police are investigating and I hope charges are brought soon.
I will keep you posted. Good luck to others who are trying to get there money back and do not trust any of the positive reviews.

FRAUD - HOW I GOT MY MONEY BACK

FRAUD - HOW I GOT MY MONEY BACK
This whole experience started for me a year ago. I used Wowcher and paid £29 for a Express Smart Repair voucher. I did everything else that the others did when dealing with Smart Express Repair and ended up losing £264. I reported the matter to the police which has taken a year to investigate and may have an outcome that convicts criminals for fraud. The other things I did was make a claim at the small claims court, which cost me £25. I did not put down Express Smart Repair as the defendants because I'd been defrauded and the likelihood was that the company was in name only. Instead I showed Wowcher as the Defendant as my case relied upon the stated case of Donoghue v Stevenson (modern day fraud) as I believed that Wowcher Ltd had a duty of care towards me their customer. I also relied upon the Misrepresentation Act 1967. As I alleged that Wowcher Ltd had not done any due diligence on the company concerned that allowed me to enter into a contract that made me lose £264 by a fraudulent company.

Well a year later on the 1st November 2017 I received a cheque from Wowcher Ltd for the full amount of my loss plus the court cost. Their letter stated that they were unable to make the court date and that they had reluctantly decided not to pursue the defence claim. I would rather of had my day in court as then this ruling could have been seen by a lot more people. My friend had studied contract law so a little bit of knowledge saved me.
The other good news is that Sussex police have arrested 3 people and have 2 outstanding. They have said that the likelihood of getting any money back from their investigation is slim. If you know of anyone that has been dupe in this way then this is the way to go about getting your money back. Mine was more about the point that Wowcher shouldn't be allowed to set up themselves in this way then just claim ignorance in the whole matter. I'm going to frame my cheque.

FRAUD - BEWARE

FRAUD. Still trying to get my money back from Nov 2016. They owe me £420. Nothing to do with any vouchers or any "editorial" mistakes on vouchers for me. Just plain theft. Seems the usual story...paid upfront. Then told van had broken down. Then missed appointments. Then when I wanted money back and, after being assured I would get it in a week or so, complete radio silence. I dealt with JAMIE. I see his name cropping up in other reviews. Does anyone know anything else about him (surname, address, mobile number, what he looks like, age....). Does anyone know anything about the director of the company Vigilija LINKEVICIUTE (sex, age, telephone number, where work etc) or the address 30 Montpelier Road, Brighton, England, BN1 2LQ, I'm still in the process of taking the company to HM Courts & Tribunals Service (aka the "Small Claims Court") (google moneyclaim and HM Courts & Tribunals Service...I'm not able to post links in this review). Still radio silence from Express Smart Repairs. I have just issued a warrant to get the bailiffs involved. Amount they owe me, including costs and interest, is now over £500. When I told them I was making a claim to the Small Claims Court, the next day I was contacted by a person claiming to be a solicitor representing the company. I was suspicious and reported it to the Solicitors Regulation Authority (google SRA and bogus solicitors) who confirmed that both the person and the solicitor firm they said they worked for were bogus. Watch out! I have also now reported them to the police (google actionfraud). I'll update you all to my progress. I am sure that Express Smart Repairs will be reading these reviews as well. Please can everyone pursue them as I have done...if enough of us take them to the Small Claims Court and report them to the police then through weight of numbers we could get something done. Thanks

Good service

I used this company I was a bit worried after reading the reviews I paid £420.00 for wheel refurbishment and bumper repair they turned up on time and completed the job. I did ask them about there reviews and was told the vouchers they sold had editorial mistakes so they did not honour them so for this reason they have had bad reviews. My experience was not the same as the reviews so either they have changed or there are some people who have other reasons to be upset.

BEWARE!! Avoid this company

I bought a Groupon voucher for £29 for this company to repair a dent in my car, I had to send a photo of the dent and they replied by saying that I needed a full panel respray costing another £220+VAT, payable in advance. I foolishly paid and they arranged a date to fix it. They didn't turn up, when I phoned to see why I was given a lame excuse and we rescheduled. Again no show. I phoned several times and left messages, no response at all until I phoned from a number they didn't recognise, then they offered a refund. 6 weeks later I am still waiting, they don't answer the phone or respond to emails. I've contacted Groupon to get their help but they can't contact them either. I am about to contact Watchdog.
Be warned, this is a SCAM

Scam

After Purchasing a £29 deal from Wowcher in October 2016 (to get a small dent removed) I then had to contact the company to arrange a appointment, after giving all the relervant details I was told I had to give an Additional £235 which stupidly I did as i was told this needed to be done to secure my appointment. a few days before my appointment I was called to be told there would be another £190 needed at this point I realised there was something not quite right so i refused at this point, I was then told that my refund would be in My account within 7 days that was around 5 weeks ago. I guess i would like to warn anyone purchasing from this site or the company itself, Dont! I have contacted wowcher who were unable to do anything in regards to using a company that are scamming there customers. Please do not use Express Smart Repair they mare a company out to scam.

Do not work with this company

I've had the most appalling customer service, and based on the one other review, sounds like they've nailed their MO to steal your money. I booked my repair appointment in early November and was urged to pre-pay for the service before booking an appointment. I foolishly followed instructions, and come appointment date, they call to cancel. It took me almost 3 weeks of chasing to reschedule the appointment, only for the guys to never turn up. Now I'm being directed to their 'accounts' department to chase for my refund. After doing some research in Companies House, looks like it's a one man show... So not sure if he's even got the scale to have any departments. And what's more intriguing, there was a compulsory action to strike off the company. I'll definitely file a claim against the company, and I won't stop until the people behind this scam are brought to account by the legal system.

do not use this company

booked an appointment with this mobile company to repair my car. I paid £174.00 up front, and waited 9 days. The day of appointment, had answer phone message from manager, saying their vehicle had to go into garage, and that they would come out to me afterwards. Nobody turned up. I rang them on mobile no, and the guy who booked the appointment, said he was not aware of their guys coming out to me that day. we booked another appointment for the following week. Again nobody turned up. I rang, and nobody knew what was going on, so i cancelled the work and asked for a refund, and was told to email their accounts dept, who would give me a refund. I received a reply, asking me for my bank details, and that it would take 5/7 working days.I received no refund, so i wrote another e-mail to the accounts dept, but did not get a reply.I phoned and asked for the manager, and was told he would phone me back, he did not phone me.I contacted paypal, who have since told me, my refund will now be given, within the next 5 days. This is a shocking company, untrustworthy, and who think they can get away with your money. Dont get involved with them.
